Chapter 2909 - In Complete Harmony

Jiang Chen's spirit recovered some consciousness after a brief shock. But to totally awaken his soul, it might require thousands or millions of years and still to no avail.

Red Lotus was shocked and looked up, her eyes were burning, because she felt something from Jiang Chen, a tiny hint of movement from his spirit.

"Jiang Chen's not dead!" Red Lotus said.

"Really?!" Fire Qilin shouted.

"To be precise, not dead-DEAD yet. But his signs are extremely weak." Red Lotus said as she shook her head.

The greater one's expectation was, the greater the disappointment will be, so she's grabbing on to this sudden opportunity and that sliver of hope.

"It's miniscule."

The Fire Qilin nodded, he could not detect it but since Red Lotus said it, that means there's hope.

"Currently, Jiang Chen's body and soul is frozen, it's near impossible to wake him up," Fire Qilin murmured worriedly, but there's nothing he can do.

"There's still hope." Red Lotus flushed and said quietly.

"As long as I connect with him, be in complete harmony, Jiang Chen may be able to recover if the flame essence of the Karmic Fire could melt the ice from the Cold River Stone."

Fire Qilin looked at Red Lotus in complete shock. This would surely harm her gravely, one that couldn't be recovered.

"If Jiang Chen and I could not wake up… take the both of us away from this place and bury us at a secluded place, perhaps, after a millennium we may be able to wake up." Red Lotus smiled and said calmly.

There's no regret now that I've made my decision.

"This… alright." Fire Qilin nodded.

It's all thanks to Jiang Chen risking his life that he was able to survive, he'd risk his too to ensure that no one else may hurt the two of them.

Fire Qilin turned and gave space to Red Lotus.

Red Lotus stared at Jiang Chen who was like an ice sculpture in the middle of the volcano that had been covered by snow and ice.

"We'll have to see whether you'll survive this. If we're able to connect and be in complete harmony, then, you're destined to live."

She then hugged the frozen Jiang Chen. At that moment, the Karmic Fire enveloped both of their bodies as she hugged him tightly.

The essence of the Karmic Fire was even slightly more powerful than the Cold River Stone, but it was still not able to break off the seal and withstand the recoil from it. It was a tough mission for her, as the Karmic Fire of the Red Lotus swirled across their bodies, melting the ice around Jiang Chen. Jiang Chen's heart, soul and body began to change.

Seconds, minutes, days, months and 3 years have passed, his body was finally free from the ice. However, his body was still cold. Red Lotus had almost burnt out all of her flame essence; she was almost out of energy.

However, her effort wasn't fruitless, Jiang Chen's soul and body was now in great condition after she used the Karmic Fire to light up the Five Elemental True Fire in Jiang Chen's body, plus, with this act of hers, half of the essence of the Karmic Fire of the Red Lotus had been transferred into Jiang Chen's body.

"Finally going to wake up?" Red Lotus murmured, feeling extremely happy although she herself already had one feet in the coffin as her flame essence was about to be extinguished. Jiang Chen was saved and she'd live even if there's only a single gasp of breath within her, Jiang Chen was different. He would really die or it'll take millions of years for him to wake up if she did not save him.

"Now, you possess the Karmic Flame, I hope you'll appreciate it and don't disappoint me, little Craftsman God…" Red Lotus said and then fell onto Jiang Chen's body.

After a while, Jiang Chen opened his eyes and flushed a little when he saw the naked Red Lotus lying on top of him. However, he immediately knew what happened after detecting the Five Elemental True Fire and the Karmic Fire in his Dantian.

Jiang Chen stood up and covered her with his robe, and in the very next moment, her body changed into a golden flaming lotus.

Jiang Chen grabbed the golden flaming lotus with gratitude, if it wasn't for Red Lotus, god knows how long it'd take for him to awaken.

"To think you would even give half of your flame essence to me, won't you regret it afterwards? You won't be able to reach your peak form without this half." Jiang Chen whispered.

The flame essence was Red Lotus's life, fusing herself with him and giving him half of her essence. Their lives were now intertwined with each other, she'd die if he dies but if she dies he'd be fine.

"You gave me your life, Red Lotus, I will not let you remain in this state for long." Jiang Chen said firmly.

Although no one knows when she'd awaken, probably ten thousand years, Jiang Chen would never give up and would make sure she recovered.

The Karmic Fire and the flames within his body made him feel heavy but also alive.

Jiang Chen had the Five Elemental True Fire and Karmic Fire in both his palms. At this moment, the energy in his body rose continuously. The Karmic Fire might have not increased his cultivation, but it'd certainly scare the sh*t out of a Peak Divine King, he might even get burned to a crisp from it, even a Half-Step Hierarch could be killed.
