18. Preparation

I woke up the following day with a sore tummy and a terrible headache.

Remembering that I need to go shopping with Leon and Anna, I get off the bed and head to the shower. My tummy was covered in bruises, and I didn't understand why or how.

'They are from last night. This can happen when your Mate is cheating on you. For you being a Royal with an Alpha for a Mate is worse. It would be best if you accepted his rejection, Amaya. Otherwise, it won't get better.' Ivy said into my head.

'I know. I will! Next time when I meet him, it will be the first thing to do.'

I get out of the bathroom and put on some short jeans with a red t-shirt and trainers.

Anna gave me these lovely clothes, and I honestly love them.

After I put my hair into a high ponytail, I head to the kitchen.

"Good morning, guys!" I said with a small smile, trying not to show that I was in pain.

But of course, it didn't work. Anna grabbed my hand and placed me on the chair, lifting my t-shirt.

"That bastard! He deserves to have his balls cut off!" she yells, angry.

Leon got up and went to pour some coffee for me after he had some cold water.

I could see how mad he was, but he did well to contain himself.

"Here! Have some coffee and eat something before we leave."

"Thank you, Leon!"

"Hm... You should accept his rejection, Amaya!"

He said, sitting back in his chair.

"I will. I promise!"

We were on our way to the mall, what they call the extensive building full of everything, when my stomach started hurting again.

Clenching my teeth, I looked out the window while tears were streaming down my face.

I wish this would be over soon as I can't take it anymore. The pain is worse than anything I experienced before. Even worse than silver with wolfsbane.

"Amaya?" Anna asks softly when she notices me crying.

"It's ok, Anna! It will be over soon."

The car comes to an abrupt stop, and Leon hits the wheel while swearing. He got out of the car and sat on the edge of the road.

I followed him, not knowing what else to do and sat next to him.

"It's ok; I'm not that..."

"I will kill him! I swear I will if I see you crying one more time before him. He could wait at least!"

"Leon is fine. Look, I'm better." I said, smiling at him, even if the pain was getting worse.

"Come in, let's go! I want to get back early, as there is something I need to take care of before the ceremony."

"You sure? We can go back now if you want to."

"No, Leon! I will be crowned as a Queen. I need a dress made for one!"

"You are right! Besides, it will be nice for that asshole to see what he lost!"

"Yeah! Let's do this!" I said and got up.

After about 30 minutes more, Anna starts screeching, making me jump.

"What the...?"

"We are here! We are here! Oh, God, I can not believe it! It's been so long!"

I look at Leon, and we burst into laughter.

"What?! I told you I love shopping!" Anna said innocently.

I start laughing louder and grab her hand. "You did!"

It's been over two hours since we started buying things. Leon was carrying more than ten bags full of jeans, tops, dresses and shoes, while Anna pulled me around to find the perfect dress.

I started to think it doesn't exist, as she doesn't like anything.

"Here! Put this one on!" she said, placing a red dress into my arms and pushing me into the changing room.

I sigh and take off my clothes again so that I can try on the dress.

It was excellent but too revealing for my taste.

"So? Do you like it?" she asks.

I was so tired that I wished I could disappear.

"Well... is not bad..." I said in a low voice.

"Not bad?! That dress is awesome, Amaya!"

"It is! But..." I stop talking when I notice an ocean blue dress thrown in the corner of the changing room.

"Give me a minute, Anna!" I said, taking off the red dress and replacing it with the blue one.

"Sure!"

I looked in the mirror, and my mouth hung open.

It was perfect. Off shoulder, long, with no train, hugging my waist perfectly and showing one of my legs. The dark colour was complimenting my dark blue eyes perfectly.

"This is it!" I shout in excitement, making Anna come inside the changing room.

"Wow! You look just like a Queen!" She said not taking her eyes from me.

"Mm... thanks? Would you mind letting me change back, now?"

"Oh, yes, of course!" she said quickly and smiled awkwardly.

It was already 5 pm when we got back to the palace.

We decided to have the ceremony at 7 pm.

"Ok! Now we should move quickly! There are just 2 hours left! You go and take a shower while I make some sandwiches. And Leon? Can you bring all the bags to Amaya's room, please?" Anna said and left without waiting for an answer.

One hour and a half and we were getting ready to take off.

"Thank you, guys!" I said, hugging both Anna and Leon.

"Are you ok? Do you need anything else?" They both ask.

I smile at them softly.

"Yes! Would you please stay with me tonight? Please!" I said, looking once more time in the mirror.

I didn't feel nervous about the coronation and all, but I feel alone. I wish Evolet were here with me now.

They both nod, and we leave.

I could hear the murmurs coming out from behind the big doors.

Then a man spoke.

"Silence! The Alpha King is here!" He announced, and the room became dead silent.

"Guys, mm... can you please, give me a second?" I ask in a pleading voice.

"Sure? But will you be ok?"
