46. Reunited part two
We were running through the forest for more than three hours now. The place where my mom was held captive should be close.
'We will need to shift back soon. The place will be full of loyal Blood Moon Pack warriors. We need to be careful.' My father said through the mind link.
After another ten minutes, we shifted and got dressed in the clothes that we brought with us.
"So what now?" Oren asks.
"We need to get in that cave. But from what I can tell, there are about twenty guards." My father said,
"Twenty-six. There are exactly twenty-six guards—six at the cave entrance, eight hiding in the forest and the rest inside. I can't feel Cora, though. But that bitch might be using her power to hide her scent again." I said, looking at the cage.
"Wow!" Evolet said, smiling.
"You are good!"
I smile back and wink at her.
"Wait here. If Cora is here, she will come out. Evolet, no matter what, promise me that you will take care of them." I said, looking at her in the now purple eyes. She was pissed off.
"I promise! But what are you going to do, Amaya?"
"Watch and learn!" I said amusingly, chuckling.
I run with my wolf speed and stop in front of the cave.
"Who are you, little girl? How did you get here?" Asked one of the men, scanning the area.
"I might be a bit lost. But I was looking for a nice woman named Cora. Do you know where I can find her?"
"What is your business with her?" Another asks.
"Well, I just might try to kill her!" I said in a calm, sweet voice.
Their eyes widened in surprise, but before they could react, I sent tiny daggers to their legs, making them all fall to the ground.
"If you want to live, better stand down and away from me. Do you understand?" I shout. They nodded their heads and looked down in submission.
"Good! Now, where is Cora?"
One of them pointed at the cave entrance, and I followed the direction before growls made me stop in my tracks.
The eight wolves from the forest were here, running towards me with anger and hate in their eyes.
I turned around to face them, but at the same time, my family got out of hiding and started with them.
"Amaya, you go! Anna and I can take care of this!" Evolet said while burning alive one of the wolves, only to cover him in ice.
I noticed her and started running towards the cave without waiting for the others.
"Amaya! Wait!" I hear Oren shouts after me, his voice echoing through the dark cave.
I slowed down a bit but did not stop even for a second. I need to get there before it is too late.
"Where are they?" I ask out loud, annoyed by this hide and seek game.
'I don't know, Amaya! I can't sense anything here.' Ivy said in a sad voice.
"Cora! Get out! Stop hiding, you coward! Come here and fight me!" I scream, full of anger.
Her evil laughter echoed through the cave.
"Why would I fight you when I can watch you get yourself killed?" She asked, and the other twelve guards surrounded me.
"Well, let's play then!" I said, smirking at the warriors.
"Please meet Glacies Solum!" I said, grinning like a maniac.
They start laughing at me mockingly but stop in an instant when I lift my right hand that was now holding the ice sword.
Some of them shifted while others were frozen in their spots. I could say that they have never seen an elemental before.
"Ready?" I ask, placing my left foot in front of me, with my knee slightly bent. Both of my hands were holding the sword so tight that my knuckles were white.
Before they could answer, I extended my arms, putting all of my weight on my left foot while my other leg moved in a circular motion. I take my left hand off the sword's handle when I start moving in the opposite direction without exiting the circle that was now visible on the ground. My sword cut through everything that was coming close enough, followed by my ice daggers while I kept moving in a circle.
In less than thirty seconds, they were all dead.
"Holy shit! What happened here?!" Leon was first to ask when they arrived.
I was in the same position as I was before I started killing the warriors. Breathing heavily, I look over my shoulder to see my father, Oren and Leon watching me with pride visible in their eyes.
I straighten my back and let my sword disappear.
"Cora!!" I shout and start walking without looking back at the boys anymore.
No one answers.
"Where the fuck did she go?" I asked when we came to the end of the cave.
Before any of the boys could say anything, a long noise made us turn and look around. A door was coming out from the cave's ceiling.
"Well, enjoy your little reunion! You will all rot in here together!" Cora said when the wall behind me started rumbling.
My eyes widened, and my heart ached when I recognised the pair of dark blue eyes that were watching us from the other side.
"Mom!" I shouted and took a step towards her, but I quickly stopped when I noticed the state she was in. "Dad, please help her out and take care of her! I have something else to take care of right now. Leon, help him!" I said, looking at them.
My anger was growing, if that was possible, as I already was angry enough to kill a whole pack.
"What about me, love?" Oren asks.
"You come with me, handsome! I need you on this one." I said in a somewhat softer voice.
He nodded his head and smiled at me.
"I need you to take down that portion of the ceiling. Is your element after all." I told him, and in less than five seconds, the ceiling and gates were down.
"No! This is not possible! How come that you are an Earth elemental?!" Cora asks, terrified when she realises there is no escape now.
Before she could even move a finger, I let my sword come out again and sent it straight to her chest.
"Your wish is accomplished! You had a choice Cora, but I can see that you miss your family! Say 'hi' to them!" I said when she started coughing blood. The next moment, she fell to the ground, and I heard her heart stop beating. Cora was dead.
