Chapter 39 Ceremony

Today is Willow's ceremony! The day she will become a Fire elemental. And the day I'll go to the Water Kingdom.

"Evolet? Do you hear me?"I look at Willow who was shaking my shoulders. I must have been too focused on my thoughts, that I haven't seen or heard her.

"Mmm..yeah!I'm sorry! I was just thinking about today! It a big day isn't it? "I said trying to hide the worry from my heart. I would lie to say I'm afraid. I'm terrified about confronting Aalto by own. Amaya will be with me, of course, but even if she trained so much, we both know she's not a fighter.

I get out of Willow room. I needed some air, so I went into the back garden.

I took a seat on the bench next to a bush of roses. They smell so good.

"Bored too?" I heard Oren's voice. I turn my head to him with a small smile. 'oh brother, if you only know.'

"Yeah! You know all this dressing up it kills me!" I said and he starts laughing.

"Yeah! I know you pretty well. That's why I know you're worried about something right now! What is it?" he asked in a serious voice now.

"Ehh..you know! The war and all!Nothing new under the Sun!"

"I know you too well, sister! But I will let it go this time! If you decide you want to talk, you know where to find me! I'll be always here for you! "he said kissing my temple."By the way, you look beautiful! "Then he left.

I went back to the girls. As much as I enjoyed staying in the garden, I knew Willow needed me.

"Ahh, you're back! What do you think?" she asked pointing at her hair.

"You look amazing, Wills!" I said.

"Thank you! Now help me with my dress! I'm so hungry already! "she said and we start laughing.

Her dress was a long off-shoulder red dress. It complimented her so good with her green eyes and tan skin.

"You are so beautiful, Wills! "I said with teary eyes.

"Yeah! You look like a Queen! "Amaya added.

"Oh! Come on! Don't make me cry! You both know how emotional I can get now!" she said smiling, but with tears flooding her eyes. "Come on! Let's go! I'm so hungry that I'll be able to eat a horse! "

The ceremony started like thirty minutes ago. It was so beautiful. Blaze was on my right holding my hand, and Amaya on my left, next to Oren who keeps looking at her.'Hmm...I need to ask her about this.'

My and Willow's parents were also here with Farys, Enya and my grandparents. They all looked so excited.

"We gathered here today to celebrate the union between two Alters, Willow and Titus! As you all know the bond between Alters is sacred! There should be no lies between the two, no secrets and no hate!" the elder said holding their hands.

A tear falls on my cheek.

"The Gods made them perfect for each other! Your Alter is your better half! You need to trust them with your life, love and respect them till death!"The elder continued. More tears falling from my eyes.

'Oh, Gods! Please forgive me! I have no other choice! 'i thought, tightening my hold on Blaze's hand.

"Love? Are you ok? "he asked worried, looking at me.

"Yeah! It's just that I can't believe Willow is doing this! You know..finding her Alter, being pregnant...She's like a sister to me. So I can't help it! I'm an emotional mess. "

"I understand," he said in a low voice, kissing my head.

After a few moments, I heard Blaze's sweet voice again. "Come, little flower! The ceremony is over! Is time to celebrate now! Let's go congratulate them! "

I nod smiling and following him.

"Wills! I'm so happy for you! I love you !" I said hugging her.

"I love you too! And I'm so glad we will live together! "she said with a wink. I nod at her and went to Titus.

"Congratulations Titus! You both deserve this! Take care of her!"

"Of course I will! "he said with a huge smile. They looked so happy.

"Can you all pay a bit of attention, please?" I heard Blaze voice booming in the crowd. I look at him to see a ..nervous Blaze? 'What's going on?'

"What's going on? "I asked Titus, who was next to me.

"Wait and see! "he said with a smirk.

Blaze come next to me, grabbed my hand with his trembling one while looking into my eyes. 'Why is he so nervous? '

"Evolet Zephyrine, will you marry me?" he said with a voice full of emotions and teary eyes.

'Oh my Goodness! What should I do now? I mean..of course, I want to! But..there's this war..and I need to go. '

I looked around to see everyone waiting for my response. Amaya nodded slightly at me, tears flooding her eyes.

"Yes! Yes, I will!" I said and kissed him.

He put the ring on my finger and kissed me again. Everyone cheered and applauded, coming to congratulate us, one by one. It looks like they were expecting this.

It was almost midnight when the party started properly. Everyone was dancing. They all had so much fun.

The blaze was talking with Farys and Enya when Amaya came to me.

"We need to go! The horses are ready. You sure you still want to do this? "she asked with saddens.

"Yes! Now, more than never! Give me a second." she nodded.

"Blaze, love? I'm gonna go change. You know how these dresses are not my thing. I'll be back in a minute! "I said.

"Do you need help with that?" he asked smirking.

I blushed slightly and hit his arm playfully.

"No. I'll be fine! I love you, Blaze!" I said and kissed him, knowing that it might be our last kiss.

"I love you too, little flower! "he said and after I kissed him again, I left.
