The altar
Today is the wedding day. No to be exact, today is the day where they have to rescue Rose's mother. Rose woke up when Ad shook her. She looked around and asked, "Ash?"
"Master came after two am and left early. He will come back soon."
Rose got up and went to the washroom. She was thinking about the event that will occur today. She told herself that she had to think positively. And with determination, she got out. She saw Ash come into the room. Rose said, "Good morning."
Ash looked at Rose and said, "Good morning."
"Are you all prepared?"
"Almost. Now we-"
He could not finish it when they heard a calling bell.
Ash said, "Who came so early in the morning?"
"Maybe Roy," Rose said.
Ash said, "No, I strictly forbade him to come. We will meet at the office."
"Then" Rose looked at the door.
Ad came in and informed, "Master, Mr. Aster is here."
Ash and Rose exchanged glances. Both had the same question in mind. Why is he here?
Ash said, "Go. I will come in a minute."
"Okay," Ad said.
Rose looked at Ash and said, "I have a bad feeling."
"Me too"
But they went downstairs. Rose saw that John was reading the newspaper. He heard the heels sound and looked towards them.
"I am waiting for you"
Rose said, "For me?"
"Yes, let's go."
"What? Where?" Rose asked.
"To my house. I cannot let my daughter get married from her fiance's home. I wish you to come to my home, get ready there and we will leave for church. In there we will have a simple wedding."
"Mr. Aster I know that you want your daughter to get married properly but she can get ready here. You can just come here and pick her up. Also for your peace, we can use separate cars."
Rose knew that Ash was trying to get the situation in his favor. If Rose was here and John came here to pick her up. They will have plenty of time to rescue her mother. But John was stubborn. He said, "She is my only daughter and I wish to send her from my house. I couldn't raise her but at least I want to give her by the grace of God."
If anyone who did not know the truth about their relationship, they must have thought that John loves his daughter. But the truth is bitter.
Ash said, "Please understand that we already called the artist and the dress is on the way here."
John said, "It's alright. I already called the artist. They will come to help Rose. And I don't want any mishaps in the wedding."
Rose felt cold in her spine. She held her breath. But John continued, "My wife is not here. At least I could help my daughter. It was her wish to get Rose to come to my home."
Rose understood that John was threatening her behind those sweet words. If she does not comply with it, John will suspect something. And if it happens then all the plans will be wasted.
Rose said, "Ash, let me go. I want to get blessings in a proper way."
Ash said, "But it is unnecessary."
"Please," Rose said.
Ash already understood that Rose had to leave. If not, John will suspect something. But he put up an act to let her go.
Ash looked at John and said, "If you played any tricks then the wedding of your daughter will be converted to your death anniversary."
John laughed and said, "I would not dare. And remember I was the one who proposed the wedding."
Ash said, "Let me talk with her for a minute."
And Ash dragged Rose forcefully. John saw it and smirked.
Ash closed the door and said, "You need to go."
Rose nodded and said, "I have to go. Meet you at the altar."
Ash pulled her and kissed her. His kiss was like a thirsty man who did not get an ounce of water for three days. He was devouring her. And Rose has gladly devoured by him.
Finally, Ash let her go and said, "Plan will be changed. So be prepared for everything."
Rose hugged him and said, "Please be safe."
"I will."
Then Rose went with John. In the car, she looked depressed.
John asked, "Sad that I took you away?"
Rose knew her to play. She shook her head and said, "No, sad that I am going to be sold to the monster."
John seemed happy with her answer. "Is she coming?" Rose asked.
"No. I won't risk it," John said.
Rose looked out. She was afraid her thumping heartbeat could give her away.
They reached John's house. It was the same as always. Grand and beautiful. Rose went inside and saw maids were walking restlessly. They saw John and bowed. John did not acknowledge them. He held Rose's hand and took her to the second floor.
There Rose saw five women. They all were discussing something. When they saw Rose, they stood up. John said, "Here is the bride. Make her the most beautiful bride."
"We will, sir." One lady said.
Rose thought she must be the leader of this group.
John looked at Rose and pulled her hand. Then he kissed the back of her hand and said, “Get ready. I will be waiting. And don't be naughty."
The last sentence was to warn her. Rose only nodded.
John left her with five women. They started to talk about makeup and nail polish. Then two took her inside the washroom. They washed her hair and gave her aromatherapy. Her hair had light lemongrass and a mixed honey milk smell. It's refreshing. Then they started with makeup. They used light golden eye shadow and silver glitter. And they used cherry red lipstick. They styled her hair in a twisted bun with a little pun in front. And lastly the wedding dress.
The wedding dress was beautiful. It had small diamonds in the bodice. The sweetheart's neck was covered with light blue laces. It gave the vibe of clouds. In addition, the dress was not pure white. They had the shade of blue in them. When she wore it, she looked like the queen who ruled the heavens. The Goddess.
The tiara had royal blue color stones embedded in it. And with a matching teardrop necklace. The artist said, "Blue is an aspiring color. It will bring her good luck."
Rose smiled a little. She needs it today.
After putting the veil on, the artist said, "The bride is ready."
It took them 4 hours to make her ready. Rose was thinking about her mother. Will they be able to save her? She knew Ash would not make a move as long as she was in John's hand. So only by going to the altar could they start the mission?
John came in and kept glancing at Rose. Rose asked, "How do I look?"
"Greek Goddess," John said. The tiara indeed had the design of leaflets and roses. So she looked like the Goddess instead of the bride. John cleared his throat and said, "Shall we go?"
Rose placed her hand on his forearm and said, "Yes, let the party begin."
Yesssss!!!! I always wanted the bride to wear something other than white. I know white symbolizes purity. But to me I want the bride to wear another color.
And the most important part is will they get married? Do you think they will? To know it just swipe to the next chapter. Keep reading and keep enjoying.
