“BAY WINDOW”
Lara did not expect Joaquin to refer to their original destination as his home in Baguio. The house where they spent their honeymoon.
“Ah so, you really plan to take me here? Why?” she asked smiling and then eagerly traveled her sight to the whole house.
Joaquin shrugged his shoulders and then lowered the suitcases he was carrying.
"Because when we first came here, I didn't tell you the truth, didn't we?" he replied then hugged her tightly from behind.
Lara was thrilled with that gesture so she turned to face her husband. After that, she lovingly wrapped her arms around his neck.
"Yes. And also, I can still remember what you told me before. That you wish you can give me everything I want?”
“Yeah. I told you that because I can't really give you everything since you know something different. Just in case I don't want you to be surprised where I get it all.”
Lara nodded and with her eyes glistening that was when she pinched Joaquin’s perfect nose.
“You don't know how much I love you. So maybe I haven't been able to fall for others since that night that something happened to us. Because since then I was unable to get you out of my mind. I thought it was just a simple infatuation. Cynthia always told me that I was in love with you. But I couldn't believe it. I just believed her when we met again and you started courting me,” Lara told her husband.
Joaquin did not speak in those moments. He just kept listening to her as he stared at her face. But the pleasure she knew was in his eyes because of what she said.
A few moments later Lara released herself from Joaquin. Then she approached the fireplace and began to light it.
"Are you hungry?" Joaquin asked as he started to help her.
Lara shook her head. "Coffee maybe," she replied.
"All right, just a moment," he quickly headed to the kitchen afterward.
The fireplace was beautifully lit when Joaquin returned with two mugs of hot coffee.
"Thanks," she said accepting the mug that Joaquin had given her.
The silence engulfed the whole place as they sat side by side on the wooden bench opposite the fireplace.
"It’s always raining when we're here," she said followed what she said by a weak laugh afterward.
Joaquin also laughed softly at the fact and then sipped coffee in his cup.
"How long are we going to stay here?" she asked her husband.
“A couple of days, maybe? We need to get back before Sunday. Remember we have a compromise with Patrick and his wife?” Joaquin reminded her.
Lara nodded. "It seems like I'm not ready to meet the girl your father wants for you," Lara said. She also couldn't help but feel sad and that cannot be hidden from the tone of her voice.
“Hey, don't be like that. You know, really, Tanya and I are not actually close. We are friends but that is not the same as my closeness with Patrick,” Joaquin explained to her.
That was when she stared at Joaquin. "Was she your girlfriend too and you are hiding that from me because you think I'm going to be hurt?"
"No!" Joaquin's immediate protest is to correct what she thinks. “And another one to tell you I didn't really have a girlfriend before you. They are all bed partners,” her husband added.
Lara's eyebrows raised at what she heard. “Really? Does that mean?”
“That means you're the only girl whom I courted and who became my girlfriend. Yes, you are my first girlfriend. That's true. Even if you ask dad when you guys meet,” Joaquin told her with a smile.
After hearing what Joaquin said. That was when Lara tenderly leans her head on his shoulder. Then she glanced at the watch she was wearing.
“Past five in the morning. Let's go to bed first? I'm sleepy,” she told her husband.
Joaquin nodded and took her mug with half more coffee in it.
"Do you want me to give you a lover’s carry as we go upstairs?" he asked her.
Lara's lips fell open because of that question. "All right, so we can pretend to be on our honeymoon again," she said.
Joaquin just chuckles softly and after a while, she was already in his arms. Not long until her husband lowered her to the bed.
As usual, Joaquin turned on the bathroom switch. That gave them the right amount of light they needed. Then he approached the bay window and opened it.
At that point, there was an emotion that touched Lara's heart. She got up and approached her husband who at that moment was busy opening another window.
From behind she hugged Joaquin. Somehow the natural cold of the weather in Baguio reduced, which is still accompanied by a heavy downpour.
"The smell of the wind, the smell of pine trees," Lara commented and pulled her husband to the bay window.
"I thought you were sleepy?" Joaquin asked her as he touch her hand and then gently squeezed it.
Lara didn't speak anymore and instead, she grabbed Joaquin's face and kissed him.
"I don't even know if until when will I be more than willing to give you myself over and over again, Joaquin," she whispered before he pushed Joaquin.
"Lara," Joaquin said who immediately got what she meant.
The temperature in Lara's body was rapidly rising because of it. So before her husband moved, she had already started it.
She acted and sat on Joaquin's lap. As her husband, his hands were so fast that he was able to strip clothes immediately.
Joaquin's immediately passed his scorching tongue to both of her breasts. He eventually began to be flirted away by his expert mouth.
Lara knew they were both tired.
But she could see no reason not to take advantage of this romantic night as usual, as the two of them.
The rain outside is strong and the surroundings are still dark. Only the forest of pine trees could see what the two of them were doing.
"Let's get rid of this," she told Joaquin as she was referring to his pants.
In a hurry, she was able to lower her husband's pants. And shortly after that, they both had no covering on their bodies.
“Mmmmnnnnn…” Lara moaned as her husband was busy loving both of her breasts.
"Let's do it now, sweetheart," Joaquin whispered to her before kissing her.
Lara just nodded as she raised herself to unite their bodies.
“Ahhhh…”
"Keep going," said Joaquin. He grabs her face before kissing her on the lips.
Joaquin really gave her that opportunity. Because he let her work the way she wanted to and she would be happy.
"Make me come," Joaquin whispered as he perhaps felt as if she is now getting closer.
Lara just nodded and hurried her movements. A few moments later, her moans and loud gasps seemed to have a mind of their own as they became uncontrollable.
Joaquin grabs her waist. Then he took the tip of her left breast again and started sucking it.
"Almost there," Joaquin told her.
When she heard Joaquin say that, Lara became more aggressive with her movements. Until they finally reach the climax of their lovemaking.
Both of them are catching their breaths when she stopped moving. But what she thought was the end of what should be a quickie was not yet.
From his seat, Joaquin stood up. And for a moment she had just found herself being in her husband’s place earlier.
"I thought?" she said.
"I think I can still make it," Joaquin replied.
Following that statement was Joaquin’s powerful beat of a delicious deluge in her womanhood.
"Oh, I remember you wanting this, right?" Joaquin asked her, then put a hand on her belly and continued his intense destruction of her sex.
She knew what he was talking about. After all, she understands what is happening to Joaquin because the same thing happened to her earlier. That's why she didn't stop him.
After all, they are both tired and need enough rest. But they will never run out of energy if this method of making them feel how strong their love for each other is to be discussed. Especially her husband.
Joaquin had told her before. He knows how to keep his promises. She likes this. They make love in the bay window. She asked for it. But he failed to do it.
She seems to want to think that this moment just waited for enough time and perfect timing. Because she likes the idea that now this happened where everything is fine between the two of them.
"Coming," Joaquin said then emphasized the destruction that followed.
"Yes, mmmmnnnn," Lara's confirmation was to let Joaquin know that she was the same.
"Hold on tight," he said, speeding up his next move.
The loud cry that she had been controlling was finally released. And because it was raining heavily, the surrounding noise also swallowed it up.
"Oh sweetheart," Joaquin's heavy words then accompanied those words with a final thrust. And that thrust brought them to the other side again.
*****
The days went by fast.
Their two-day stay in Baguio ended immediately, so they returned to Manila to resume their normal lives.
But before that, Lara knows that she and Joaquin still have something to fix. And that is to confess to their daughter what is true.
That's why when they arrived that night, they made Callie sleep in their room.
"Callie, Mommy will talk to you first, okay?" she said to the little girl as she turned off the TV.
Callie nodded then turned to Joaquin who at that moment was just looking at the two of them.
"Didn't you ask me before who is your real daddy?" Lara started.
"Yes, Mom. Didn't you say he was the one who saved you from the bad guys?" Callie asked her back.
That's when Joaquin sat on the edge of the bed and kept listening to their conversation.
"What if I tell you that your Daddy is back, and he wants you to meet him?"
Callie's eyes immediately widened when Lara said that. Something that made Joaquin and Lara both smile.
"Really? All right, I want to meet him! I want to meet him! But Mommy," at that point, Callie's facial reaction changed as she looked sadly at Joaquin.
"Oh, why?" Lara asked her daughter.
"I have a daddy already," she said, looking at Joaquin again.
At that point, Lara saw Joaquin's eyes clouding as he quickly looked away from Callie. Then he successively swallows and stands up.
Joaquin was about to turn around when Callie suddenly stood up. The girl got off the bed and ran to her father.
"Daddy!" Callie shouted.
*****
Joaquin did not know what hit him when he heard her daughter's small voice calling him.
That's when his tears finally flowed. He looked at Callie who ran up to him. He picked up the child and hugged her tightly.
"I don't want another daddy, Mommy," said Callie, sobbing and hugging her father.
"Baby," Joaquin said then caressed the back of the child who was crying as she hugged him.
“You don't need another daddy, Callie. Because Joaquin is your real father," at that point Lara decided to explain and tell her daughter the whole truth in the simplest way that she knew.
"Daddy Joaquin is my real daddy?" Callie asked in surprise.
That's when Joaquin acted. He sat down and then held the little girl in his arms. "Yes, I am your real daddy, Callie," he said answering the child's question.
"You're the one who saved Mommy from the bad guys?" even though the tears were glistening at the corners of Callie's eyes. The true happiness that she could see in them is still unmistakable.
"Yes, baby, he is your father," answered Lara.
As soon as Lara said that, Callie suddenly hugged her father tightly again.
"Daddy, what took you so long?" the question that brought tears to Lara's eyes.
When Lara looked at her husband, she saw that he was crying too.
"I'm so sorry, Callie. I'm so sorry," she heard Joaquin say.
Lara just let the two for a few moments. She was content to watch them. When her husband signaled her, that's when she came to join them.
Locked inside Joaquin's big arms were two of them.
"I promise to protect both of you with my life, always," he said, kissing Callie on the forehead and her on the lips.
Lara closed her eyes tightly. Then she let her tears flow. Tears of joy.
She was really happy. And in these circumstances, she can say that she could not ask for more.
