Chapter 26 : Intimate Moments 3
Xavier
Karen, though surprised by his sudden action, did not cry anymore. They felt closer and their emotional bond grew stronger. She could only think of him, how his scent filled the room and how his body felt warm and comforting. She realized how close they were, how her body felt warm from the man's warmth seeping into it. She tried to catch his words.
"Um, what?" she said in a low voice, trying to understand what was happening.
He smirked, not caring that she had just witnessed an expression of emotion he rarely showed. He was happy to make her forget everything but him. Without further words, he tilted her head further back and kissed her soft, pink lips.
Karen didn't resist, but melted into him, her right hand moving across his body to grab the few strands of his silver-black hair that fell over both of their shoulders, squeezing them gently.
He stroked his tongue over her lower lip, silently pleading for entry, wanting to taste her sweet mouth. Karen opened with a small moan of acceptance, further fueling his lust. He pushed his tongue into her moist cavern, dominating her lips with ease. She felt so small and fragile in his arms. Xavier had an insane urge to protect her from all threats and injuries, not just physical.
He wanted to touch her, to stroke her body, but he resisted the urge, not wanting to frighten her, so for now he was content to caress her jaw and neck. He felt her pulse throbbing irregularly under his fingers and smelled her arousal growing.
Then he felt her kiss him back, her tongue coming out to caress his. Xavier growled in satisfaction, approving of her actions. He held her even tighter, kissing her harder as he prepared to bond with her once more.
Her mind went blank as his lips touched hers. She was flooded with sensations she couldn't control. She reached for something to anchor herself to when her fingers found something soft - she clung to it as if it were her lifeline. Her heart was beating so hard it was like a thunder in her ears. Then she felt his hand run from her jaw to her neck. His touch felt light as a feather; it tightened her lower abdomen strangely, making her want more.
She kissed him back, wanting to feel more. Xavier was addictive, he was like an opiate to her, something she couldn't get enough of. In her innocence she reacted instinctively to the new demands of her body.
As she felt the power of Xavier's aura rise, she felt her sanity return as her eyes opened wide, her lips and tongue unresponsive as the familiar, painful burning of his power entered her mouth, flowed down her throat and fused deep within her. She realized how strong this bond was, how long Xavier had held them in it. She had a hard time forcing her spiritual power to yield, her spiritual power instinctively rising to protect her from the dangerous power of the aura.
Xavier had decided to force more of his power into her body, trying to force her body to adapt to the wolf that was in the girl's body. He would not let the girl slip through his fingers as this stubborn woman refused to submit to him. After a while, he felt his lips begin to burn. He knew that the girl was struggling to suppress her spiritual power, but it seemed that she was losing the battle to suppress it.
He gave the girl one last powerful burst of energy, breaking contact with her mouth before letting the pure energy of his wolf subside and withdrawing back into himself. He was a powerful Alpha, immune to most spiritual energies. The fact that this sneaky girl was able to make him feel uncomfortable with the spiritual energy she gave him proved how powerful she was. He was not angry that the girl had set him on fire. She didn't mean any harm. In fact, he was very happy about having found this treasure, Karen was his mate, and his Luna was like hitting the jackpot for him.
The girl's eyes were closed tightly, her hands clenched into fists against her chest as she rolled onto her side, trying to curl up into a ball against the strong chest she was leaning against, her body feeling strangely burned and not as pleasant as it had been when he first started kissing her. This exchange was much more painful than the last, and she was still trying to adjust as she gasped for much needed air.
It was several long minutes before Karen realized that there were hands stroking her hair and back while she heard purring sounds and vibrations in her ears. When she opened her eyes, she saw herself surrounded by white. It was Xavier's shirt. She was still sitting on his lap, leaning against him. After her ordeal, she could not help but feel a sense of shame at this moment, finding herself still in the arms of the notoriously cold and cruel Alpha.
It was strange that she felt safe in his arms. He had a firm, broad chest. A pat on her head brought her attention back to him.
"Are you all right?" she heard him ask.
Nodding her head against his muscular chest, she murmured, "Yes, I'm fine."
The two of them sat like that for an unknown amount of time when she suddenly felt very tired. Her body had been under a lot of stress to receive the energy from Xavier and she just wanted to sleep, wrapped in his warm embrace.
She vaguely noticed that she felt light when Xavier lifted her from his lap and stood up to embrace her. She hadn't even felt him lift her clothes to cover her again and button them up, but Xavier had already done that.
He moved to her side of the bed, unfolded her blanket and gently laid it over her bed, covering her up to her chin. He stood and watched Karen for a few minutes. He smelled her scent again. Xavier felt strange, as he had the last time after their bond, although he could smell himself, he did not feel the power of her aura that she had sent into his small body.
He was sure that Karen had not purified him, as the wound on her shoulder clearly showed improvements that no human could achieve in such a short time, but he was still unsure where the power of his aura had gone.
He placed his hand on the girl's head one last time and left her before the urge to curl up next to her overcame him.
