Epilogue
“Love always wins.”
~~~
Kisses littered all over my neck, Lionel’s body spooning me as his fingers drew soft circles on our baby bump. Nothing could beat the sensation of waking up to this every morning.
“How are my angels doing?” he whispered into my ear, his raspy morning voice sending tingles all over me.
Twisting to face him, I cupped his cheek and pulled him in for a kiss but paused on second thought. “I have to brush my teeth,” I said, attempting to get off the bed unsuccessfully.
“Your teeth can wait. I want to explore the whole of you first.” His lips claimed mine, his hands roaming around the hem of my sexy nightgown as he called it. Getting on his knees, he helped me lay on my back so he could access his assets easily.
My fingers weaved into his hair while his cupped my bare buttocks, moving up to my back and down to my ass again. His lips left mine to litter kisses all over my jawline to my chest before sucking on my nipple through the thin fabric of the dress that was taken off me within seconds. Goosebumps scattered all over my skin but the arousal in me could only care less because I knew he would soon heat my body.
His eyes found mine, his hand softly landing on my swelled tummy. He was a proud father, showering us with love ceaselessly. As if on cue, I felt a gentle tap, earning cheers from him. “Did you feel that?” he asked, his orbs dancing with affection. I nodded, a smile never leaving my lips.
He placed a kiss on my belly button, another below it, and more all over my bump before moving up to claim my nipple again, his hand massaging the other. I arched my back, my soft moans filling the air.
My hands found his briefs, dipping my fingers in to take his shaft out, his eyes darkening with desire. Wrapped my palm around it, I moved it up and down in slow and circular motions. He stopped to gape at what I was doing like it was the first time, a giggle escaping me. A tug at his briefs had him sliding them off effortlessly.
His shaft stood at attention, a snicker from him ending my stare at it. His lips devoured mine again, his fingers rubbing softly on my wet core. My hands circled his neck, lifting my waist as he dipped one finger inside me, adding another when I moaned his name. Slow yet sweet thrusts of his fingers had me gripping the sheets tightly, I wanted him inside me.
“I want you,” I whispered into his ear, earning a guttural moan from him. He positioned himself at my entrance, grazing his cock around my clit to tease me before easing in slowly. My eyeballs rolled back at the rush running through my body, my toes curling as I took in the whole of him. His thrusts were gentle at first, speeding up at my request. Shutting my eyes, I moved my body in rhythm with his, running circles all over his skin and pulling him in for light kisses.
He was too careful with my bump but nothing could go wrong in this position, with him on his knees and my legs spread wide to accommodate him between me. Staring lovingly into each other’s orbs, we explored different kinds of pleasure
“Mommy?” our three-year-old son Leon cried out, banging at the door repeatedly. We froze in place, a frown overtaking the grin of satisfaction he had seconds ago.
“What should we do?” he asked, pulling halfway out then back in, a small smile now playing at his lips.
“He can wait.” I spanked his ass as he resumed thrusting into me, sending ripples of pleasure all over my body.
Leon’s cries were getting wild, impelling his father to go faster. My release came first, his following shortly after. He placed a quick kiss on my lips and covered me up before hopping off the bed. Hastily cleaning his shaft and hands with wet wipes, he pulled on his shorts and yanked the door open.
“Hey there, buddy?” he took Leon into his hands, a knowing smirk on his face when his eyes met mine.
Leon tried to push himself out of his father’s hands, howling for me to take him. “Want mommy!”
Draping a towel around myself, I rushed to the bathroom to rinse off. By the time I put on a clean dress, Leon was screaming his lungs open. “Why are you crying?” I asked, taking him into my arms.
He rubbed his tiny balled fist into his eyes. “I hungry,” he hiccuped.
“Oow, you poor little cutie. Let’s go make you a sandwich, yeah?”
His lips curled into a grin and for a moment, I thought I was staring at Lionel’s younger self.
“What is going on?” Claire walked in with a frown on her lips and eyes heavy with sleep.
“Daddy refushed to open door.” Leon pointed an accusing finger at his father whose eyes widened in disbelief.
“You’re such a big baby,” she teased, tickling him till he was out of my arms.
“Race you guys downstairs,” Lionel said, Leon bolting out of the room before his father’s sentence was completed, Claire hot on his heels.
Lionel hugged me from behind, placing his arms on my bump and his lips at the crook of my neck. “I love you, baby. What can I do without you, Claire and Lee?” he murmured.
“Nothing,” came my reply, his giggle tickling my skin. “What can we do without you?”
He sighed, spinning me around and crashing me into a hug. “I wouldn't want to visualize that.”
“I love you so much, Lionel. You have no idea,” I said, getting on my toes to peck his forehead.
“I know. You guys mean the world to me and I will always work towards making sure you grow old with a smile on your face.”
My eyes watered, a sob escaping my lips. I now believed we deserved each other, our destiny was meant to be like this. It was extremely beautiful.
“Hush now, don’t cry. You deserve everything nice.” He wiped my tears, pecking every inch of my face. “Let’s go now before Leon starts-”
“Mommy!” Leon’s wails had us cracking up as we headed for the door and down the flight of stairs.
“Mommy’s here.” I opened my arms for him and Claire who fell into them without hesitation, Lionel wrapping us in his embrace.
“How about I make you three something to eat?” Lionel asked when we pulled apart.
“Yesh,” Leon exclaimed, sprinting to the kitchen with us trudging after him.
We were colouring book pictures on the kitchen island when Lionel announced that he was taking me out after breakfast. My insides bubbled with joy as my gaze landed on him, questions ready to spill from my lips.
“No questions cause I’m not telling.” He passed me the plate of pancakes he’d just cooled for Leon, poured some milk in his spiderman cup, and helped me set him up at the table.
We spent the next couple of hours binge-watching animations and playing family games. Claire, Leon and Lionel were a handful, I could only imagine how it would be with the new addition. Would he or she add to the mischief or take my side? I couldn’t wait to put to bed and find out.
“I got you this.” Lionel lifted a sexy off-shoulder red mermaid gown, a smirk adorning his lips. “You like?”
I placed a hand on my chest, blinking back my tears and staring at him with adoration. My pregnancy was making me so emotional. “I love it, babe. Thank you.”
“Anything for my baby.” He covered the space between us. “How about you try it on?”
“I’d be happy to.” I let my towel fall and squeezed him into a hug. Once I’d dried myself up and lotioned my body, he helped me fit the dress.
“How do I look?” I twirled to give him a better view.
“You look stunning and all the sweet words rolled into one.”
My cheeks heated up. “You’re exaggerating.”
“I’m not. You’re too gorgeous. Everyone’s eyes will be on you.” He stopped unwrapping the contents in the box before him to send me a wink.
“Everyone? Where exactly are we going?”
“You’ll see.” He disappeared to the walk-in closet to come back clad in a maroon tuxedo.
I dropped my make-up kit to walk up to him. “You’re so hot I could eat you right here, right now.”
His grey orbs turned a darker shade, lust filling them as he pulled me into his embrace. “Don’t tempt me cause I don’t think I can control myself.”
“But I don’t want you to,” I groaned.
“I will keep this in mind so I can ravage you later.” He placed a soft kiss on my lips. “We have to go now.”
After donning the pair of earrings, shoes, and necklace that came with the gown, I intertwined my fingers with Lionel’, marching out of the house with exhilaration.
“I don’t understand why you have to cover my eyes,” I whined, finding it hard to walk with his guidance.
“Because it’s a surprise, baby. Just a few more steps, we’re almost there.”
He slowly eased his hands off my eyes, my family and friends coming into my view, every one of them dressed to the nines.
“Surprise!” they screamed in unison, clapping their hands and grinning from ear to ear. I glanced from them to Lionel and back, a wide smile on my face, matching the enthusiasm in their cheers.
“Are we celebrating something?” I asked Lionel who circled his hand around my waist. “It’s not my birthday nor our anniversary. What’s the occasion?”
He just replied me with a smile, gesturing to the crowd who stepped aside, putting some space between them to reveal an entrance with an enormous ribbon and numerous colourful balloons.
“Welcome to the grand opening of your clothing line. I haven’t chosen a name for you because I would like you to do yourself the honour.”
My eyes watered, my lips quivering as I tried to voice out my thoughts of appreciation. He leaned in to kiss me, whispering words of encouragement to calm me down.
“I don’t know what I can possibly say to match my gratitude,” I said amidst sobs.
“You don’t have to say anything. Being by my side for the rest of my life is enough for me.” I bobbed my head as he wiped my tears. “Let’s go say hi to our guests.”
After exchanging hugs and accolades with our loved ones, Claire, Leon, Lionel, and I finally stood in front of the ribbon, a pair of scissors in our joined hands. At the count of three, we sliced the ribbon apart, hurrahs filling the air, mixing with the congratulatory messages.
When the glass doors opened and we made the first step inside, my heart leapt with joy. Neatly arranged and exquisite clothing lined up in different sections of the massive room. Shoes, jewellery and beauty products were not an exception, they made the store much more appealing. Everything was perfect, it was the photocopy of all I ever dreamed of.
Settled at the VIP table, we popped open a four-year-old bottle of wine symbolizing the sweet number of years we’d spent together. Pouring it into two glasses, he handed me one and lifted his to the joyfilled guests.
“I am a happy man today,” he started, stealing a glance at me. “Having such a beautiful family is a dream come true for me, and I am thankful to each and every one of you for being part of our success and pushing us to keep going. Cheers to great beginnings.”
“Cheers,” they all said in unison, their glasses emitting clink sounds.
“To us,” Lionel murmured.
“To us,” I repeated after him.
Our wine glasses clinked to finalize the toast, admiration in our distinct shades of orbs as we held on to each other. When Ed Sheeran’s perfect song came on, we knew we had to grace the dancefloor. With my head on his shoulder and his hands encircling my waist, we revelled in the unforgettable moment. I was finally whole. I had found my better half, my soulmate.
