Elegant and graceful, those were the two words striking the mind of the innocent doe who came infront of the fifty year old French restaurant that was packed upto the brim. Even though the place comprised of many couples and families dining extravagantly as it could be seen from outside yet it was still spacious and luxurious to the very heart of it.
Vivid apricot sunrays grasped its glimmering light before sprinkling it on her ginger hair making the girl glow like an ethereal angel as she stood outside the diner with her bicycle whose basket was adoring exotic flowers.
Roxanne had an habit to go around the town in the very morning for exercise and in the way, while passing through the flower-shop she could not help but buy some of those delicate beauties wrapped up in beautiful colorful foil papers to retain their quality.
She looked at the diner and then at her own clothes, her hands holding the pink skirt tightened. If she would have known that Darius would make her come to such place she would have wore another one of her dresses.
She had been to such places countless of times and by the looks of it, this was no different from others. The girl pouted softly before her palm collided with her head gently as she thought in her mind all the tips she had learned from YouTube to act like a lady and not embarrass Darius. She liked him so much and at any cost did not wished for him to be sad because of herself.
She had been so silly to tell Darius that she liked surprises on the night of the art exhibition, thus the supreme court judge promised her that she would get one so instead of telling her the place he would take her, he made a map for the whole way there.
The next day the girl woke up to a small parcel. It had a handmade map marking several famous places of the city which was very much known to her with the last one pointing and saying 'Food'.
Darius had legislative duties in the morning, an exhibition to attend with her at evening on Saturday and yet the treasure map made the beautiful nymph almost melt into a puddle. He had stayed up the whole night to cut colorful pieces of paper to arrange them onto a carboard to look like a garden with grass and trees made of cotton and wool dyed green, there were small delicate paper flowers and butterflies sticking to it.
Ahead of the flower garden he had made a stick monument that looked more or less like Elsa's castle from Disney's Frozen and the road he made to connect all the paths were so cute with small ballerina dolls placed as pedestrians to indicate.
The last place he made was a small paper Ferris wheel with tiny cardboard shops below it to indicate that the carnival was nearby.
Roxanne remembered that after watching the map she had tears glistening in her eyes and as soon as Darius called her to ask 'Do you like it baby?' hesitantly she burst out into tears making the dangerous six feet four man infront of whom the people shake like a leaf, coo at her.
She had loved it so much. The significance of art was beyond comprehension in her life and the efforts he made for her, to show that he appreciates her presence this much to sacrifice his sleep and make such cute yet silly things with his rough, masculine hands in hopes that she would be happy to see made Roxanne burst out from happiness.
Things made from money were easy to gift, he was a powerful persona with millions of dollars at his name but the thing that he understands that she needed his attention and devotion more than any money could provide was what truly touched her soul.
The thing that he respected her enough to not give her some expensive gift to show off his wealth was soothing and made her put him on a pedestal in her heart.
She was Roxanne Scavo and even though she was always mingling in the shadows and being a wallflower, too innocent to understand how strong she was..... she had enough money to sustain as much luxury as she liked on her own without his or her father's money.
Those forest eyes were immersed in their own thoughts thinking deeply when a palm touched the back of her head before stroking her hair making Roxanne squeal and turn around to see.
"Angel" those platinum irises twinkled when her wide greens clashed with his as Roxanne's heart thrummed erratically.
He looked so mesmerizing with those lazily put black jeans and black leader jacket. The sharp jawline made him appear so sinning. He looked like one of those badboys that she read in novels.....no he looked better than those.
"You forgot your paintbrushes at home my love. Your friend called you multiple times but you didn't picked up so she called me." In reality Senera had wanted to meet up with him to tell him the allergies, likes and dislikes of her bestfriend and specifically to warn him.
"I understand that you are an extremely powerful person officer, much above the common people and even the most influential people to touch but I am Serena Kingman, no commoner and the only daughter of the Bulgarian mob boss Tyler Kingsman. My mother is the only sister of Ajax Waylon- the royal emperor of the mafia dynasty.
I really really approve of you but If you hurt my friend I will leave no stone unturned to crush you and believe me when my uncle wants to hunt somebody down you, even the heavens would not be able to save you."
Darius had raised an eyebrow yet chuckled in delight.
"Have you always protected my baby like this?"
"Its my duty, she is my bestfriend."
"I am really thankful to you, this warning shows you genuinely care about my princess."
Serena's eyes had a sparkling gleam to his answer. "You aren't afraid.....god! I completely approve of you."
Roxanne completely unaware of what was happening around her bounced on her shoes nervously. When she turned around in astonishment Darius was spellbound.
That tiny sparkling bow decorating her styled pink skirt paired with a simple white blouse made her look so.....
god she looked surreal
So much like a princess
While Darius was looking at the girl intensely her own hands were shy to hold her long brushes.
"I...I know I am not dressed properly. Sorry to disappoint you Sir." His heart clenched with how precious she was, such an adorable little fairy who had her eyes casted down as she fiddled with her fingers.
Darius bowed down, his face concentrating on the bow struck on her skirt that was crumpled as he smoothed it down a few times before looking into her innocent green eyes watching him in trance and he was awed.
The moment of wonder changed to an awakening.
The silver irises darkened as if at that moment when she stood in sunlight glowing like a literal nymph smiling at him his darkest parts had stalked a claim on her.
She was his.
