Chapter 16
Since I didn't feel like it, I'd better just go up to my room again, maybe I'll just shut up here. As I sat on the bed, I looked at my cellphone and I thought of Smael what he was doing now. Is he sleeping?
I looked at the door because it opened, I thought of Mother Emma. But I didn't expect it is Smael. I was just looking at him as he approached me, his eyes searched for something and I didn't know what it was. Until he went to the bag of clothes he bought me because it was all washed.
Surprisingly I glanced at the dress he handed me, a sleveless red dress. The middle is split so you can see the knee when wearing it.
"Are we going somewhere?" I asked in surprise and stood up as I touched the dress. But instead of answering he lifted my dress and I just let him go.
He looked at me and his gaze dropped to his chest, I don’t know what he was thinking because he wasn’t speaking.
"Smael," I uttered and he looked me in the eye.
"Do you want to know me? Who is Smael?" He asked seriously.
"I'm confused by what you're saying, what do you mean?" I answered and he suddenly turned me around and put the dress on me. He closed the zipper.
"If you feel scared, show it to me. If you get to know me, you can decide if you want to stay. When you choose to leave, just make sure you don't show up to me until you die."
Facing me I looked at him questioningly because I was not confused with him. Why does it seem like someone else is facing me now especially with what he says. He turned to me and I put on my sandals, I saw him coming out the door. So I hurried and chased after him.
"Smael, wait." I called him and he stopped. "Where are we going? And may I know what you mean by what you said earlier?"
"You will know when you see."
My mind was full of questions because of his strange behavior and just in case I knew or discovered something. Expect Smael, what is in my heart will not change and you will remain the father of our future child.
I was quiet and so was he while we were on the trip, I just didn’t speak or ask any more questions. Until we entered something you thought was a cave. I saw men scattered around, stopping our car some men approached us. I looked at them because they all had guns.
Smael came out first and turned around, somehow he opened the door for me but he just let me out.
"Boss, good and you've arrived now. Here are the people you need."
I heard the man say with the beard closed. Smael did not answer and walked away, the men following him. I walked and looked around, there were big cars and there were loads of things that I didn't know what it was because it was a big box made of plywood.
"Hurry up and walk."
I shrugged as Smael's hand gripped my waist, he looked at me and turned around. He let go of me again and we walked together, when we entered the area there, the people there did something. I also hear some noise as if something is being done.
"Boss, have mercy on us. We have a family, what is our fault with you?"
I looked at three men in police uniforms, on their knees and with their faces dirty as they were tied up. Smael pulled me over, I don’t even know why. He took me there to the men on their knees.
"Do you remember her?"
Smael asked and that's when I remembered the three policemen who suddenly took me. The eyes of the three policemen widened when they saw me.
"Boss, have mercy. We're sorry, I promise it won't happen again. Please, we have a wife and a child."
"These bosses are idiots, they will make a fool of themselves and then think that they have a family."
I saw a man with a cigarette and a long gun slung over his shoulder.
"W-What are they doing here, Smael?" I asked in surprise and I didn't expect what he did because he handed me a gun. "What will I do with that?" I asked him nervously.
"What do you think is being done to those idiots? It doesn't matter to them what they're wearing, they should just die!"
I stared at Smael, because he was weird and I felt nervous because even the tone of his speech was different.
"What are you waiting for, do it."
"I don't want to, S-Smael. I can't do that." I shook weakly and he looked at me wickedly.
"Take it, kill those rascals!" He said again and he got even stronger.
"No, I can't. Sorry."
"Boss, have mercy on us. Don't kill us."
I looked at those three policemen who were already crying, even though I knew my first income from them was bad. They still shouldn't be killed, there in other ways.
"I don't want to, Smael. I can't, just let go them, I'm sure they'll change and they'll have family--" I shouted because he suddenly fired at the three policemen one after the other, hitting them on the cement and the blood spread.
I'm stunned and I can't seem to move because of what Smael did, this isn't the first time I've seen him kill someone but the one in front of me I didn't expect.
"Put that away."
I heard Smael say, I was just there to move and I turned to him.
"Tell me what you're thinking? If you want you to leave, I will not stop you."
"Why are you doing this? Why are you doing this to me? What do you want, Smael?" I asked him weakly.
"I want you to get away from me and never show up again."
"Is that what you want?" I asked because I was hurt when he said he wanted me to stay away from him and not show up.
"You're smart." He replied as if he just didn't care what happened.
"I'm your only woman and now that you're tired, you're going to hate me. You want to leave you? Fine, I'll do it. I'll be out of your sight anymore, expect that."
I spoke and as I turned away my tears that I had held back earlier fell.
I don't even want to leave you if you don't want to. But I'm leaving, I love you Smael but I'm probably the only one who loves you. With our son, I will forget you.
