Chapter 21

"Just give me to him, Francis,"  I said because I was scared for him because maybe that’s what Javier would do.

I went with Francis when he asked me to leave because I also wanted to and so that my mind and heart would be calm.  Too much has happened to us, lately, I feel so bad because of what Christine did to me, I didn’t fight back because I was thinking about the baby I was carrying in my womb.

I felt Francis’s tight grip on me which was something I was worried about because there was a trace in his eye the determination that we would get stuck here despite the disaster we both faced.

"You're stubborn, I told you."

I looked at Javier with a serious face, I glanced again at Francis and the hand we were both holdings.  Until he pulled me over and I didn’t expect what happened next because I heard a bang and my eyes widened screaming because of Francis leg with blood flowing.

"Francis!"  I uttered his name but he still held me tightly until a series of gunshots I heard was the reason and our hands parted.

I was stunned as Francis's bloody body slowly collapsed until it hit the cement.

"E-Eli-sssa ..."

He said my name despite vomiting blood my body trembled and slowly sat up.  I took his hand and gently brought it to my cheek.  It was there that my tears fell one after another.

"F-Francis, Francis. Please wake up."  I spoke and my tears kept falling as I watched him close his eyes.

"Why did you kill Francis!"

I was distracted by the loud voice and none other than Christine, while furiously forcefully slapped Javier.  I turned my attention away there because I didn't care about those demons, they weren't as bad as what they did to Francis.

"Your useless wife! Francis should die, you saw that his life will be risked for that woman until the end!"

I heard Javier say, I was angry because of what I was hearing.

"In that case, she should just die too so they can go to hell together!"

"Christine! Put that gun down!"

I looked to my side and saw Christine standing here near me as the gun she was holding was pointed at my head.

"You must die too because I also wouldn't be quiet if I knew you were alive!"

"You demons!" I said and I quickly picked up Francis' gun that he had released earlier and even though I didn't know how to use it I picked it up.  But I hadn’t even focused it on her when the gun Christine was holding spewed out.

Shock flashed across Christine's face and so did I.

"One wrong move of yours, I'm sure this will be the last of your life."

I couldn't believe what I saw in the distance and even though he was a bit far from us and a long gun covered his face I knew him.

Smael!

My mind screamed because he was here, there was some joy in my heart and all the pain in my heart was gone because he was here.  But to my surprise, Christine grabbed the gun from me and aimed it at my neck.

"All right, Smael. Make this woman die first with me as well as what she's carrying."  Christine spoke to me.

I saw Smael slowly lower his gun and I could see the shock on his face because of what Christine had said.

"You're already here friend, you're too fast. Is that woman that important to you?"

I heard Javier say because I couldn’t move because of the gun pointed at me until my eyes widened when Christine suddenly fell, it hit something in the chest.  Blood spread throughout his body.  Until there was a commotion here and suddenly someone took my hand.

"Smael! I want to play, let's chase until you get this girl!"  Smiling Javier said and pulled me away.

"Smael!"  I shouted as Smael ran to chase us.

"Let go of me!"  I shouted as we walked fast because he was pulling me.

"Shut up, just obey or maybe you want to die?"

I was silent and scared when he pointed the gun at my forehead, I saw Smael out of the corner of my eye.  Javier fired at Smael and Javier pulled me again, I didn't see Smael until we got out and I saw that it was just a car.

"Get in!"  Javier gave me a strong command, even though I didn't want to ride but the gun was pointed at me.

Javier and I stood side by side and I turned my back to see if Smael was still there.

"Let stupid Smael chase us, Randy."

"Yes boss, a chopper also followed us."  Answer when called Randy.  "There are two costs that are available to us to block Smael,"  Randy said again.

"Let me be sure of that Smael. Only now have I seen that Smael like this for a woman."

I just quietly listened to what Javier said while looking back.

"Boss, Smael is there," Randy said as if he was talking to someone.

I looked behind me because I wanted to see Smael, I couldn’t explain the pity I felt even though I was in danger.

Smael, are you here to save me?  And do I feel right now?  If so, I am very happy and for our child as well.
