Chapter 62
———————Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur.
—————————Al-Hussein Orphanage homes, 10:00pm.
" Check the news Zarah" I panicked as I drove away from the Orphanage. All our hard work couldn't be gone in a minute, who could have done this to us. " You're trending on the news, your warehouses in Australia, Germany, Mauritius, China, Mexico, Turkey, South Africa and Los Angeles, they all blew up at the same time" What.
What!!!.
" How did that happen?" I snapped. " I'm still reading, it's what Al-Jazeera news are currently talking about, apparently as at 9:30pm, Saturday, Malaysian time, today, eight time bombs went off in the major branches of the Olyster Textiles Warehouses, it's a mystery how they all went off at once and the military are doing the best they can to get to the bottom of this, many workers and civilians were lost, there were a lot of casualties in each country" Why was this happening to me.
Everything we worked for can't be gone in just a few minutes.
A lot of people were lost and people died. We're going to have to compensate all of them, each and every one of them and we were going to end up loosing resources and funds.
Oh no.
This was very very bad.
" Sir, this is honestly bad" Zarah panicked as I drove faster on the road. " Sir please slow down" She panicked again as she patted my arm. " is that all they said?, they haven't found any traces on who planted the bombs?"
" They believe it's a terrorist attack"
" if it's a terrorist attack then why, just why did it affect only our warehouses, I can be put in Jail for this" I yelled as I drove faster. " Book us flights back to LA now, this instant, we're leaving" What was going on.
Our competitors would never result to setting bombs in our warehouses.
We didn't have any enemies at all.
We really needed to get to the bottom of this.
" The next flight going to Los Angeles from Kuala Lumpur is by 5:00am, I've booked flights already" Zarah answered with a shaky voice. " Good, I'll drop you at your hotel, pack your things and make sure you're ready before 4:00 am, I'll come pick you up, prepare my car for me immediately we reach Los Angeles tomorrow okay?"
" yes sir" she answered as I sighed out loud.
I really didn't know what to do anymore.
Why was I losing everything I had.
Why.

————————————— Faryah's Apartment, 10:00pm.
" Are you sure you don't need me to help you upstairs?" Khalifa asked and I nodded. Najmah was already asleep and all I wanted to do right now was to take a shower and rest. At the end of the day, Khalid managed to ruin my night. " Thank you very much Khalifa" I said as I picked up Najmah and her bag from the car seater. " You're welcome, I'll see you tomorrow okay?, please sleep well, everything will be fine" He said as he kissed my forehead and Najmah's.
" I'm not ready to give up on you Faryah, I'll always love you and take care of you okay?" He said with a deep contagious smile. " okay Khalifa, I love you soooo much"
" I love you so much more" he answered and pinched my cheeks. " come on, you need to get some sleep okay, I'll text you before I sleep"
" I'll be waiting for your sweet text" Khalifa said as he got back into his car. " Sure, Ma'assalam, drive safely" I called as I waved at him. " In Sha'a Allah, Bissalam" he answered. " Bye" I called as he drove away.
I walked into the lobby after greeting the security guards and got into the elevator, taking me to the third floor. Khalid said I was sleeping around with Khalifa.
He still didn't trust me one bit.
How angry could he be to say such words to me. It was my life I was living and definitely no one else's. He had no right to accuse me of acting immorally. It was best to pursue the divorce case in court.
It should have been what I did right from when he told me he wasn't going to sign the papers. I was definitely going to win. I had witnesses to what happened that faithful day. Khalid had no chances of winning the case.
I was being too nice considerate with him and all he did was fight for what he wanted, what about what I wanted?.
It was going to be hard to get him back on track honestly. The Khalid I knew was buried deep down in him and now a jealous and annoying freak existed in him. I got out of the elevator and headed to my apartment as I fondled with my bag and got the house keys.
The door wasn't locked. I was very sure I locked the door before we left. I was more than sure that I did.
Or maybe I didn't.
I walked in carefully and turned on the lights after closing the door behind me. The air in my apartment didn't feel right at all. Something was different. Someone or something was in here. I looked around the living room as I walked in further, everything seemed in place but something just didn't feel right.
I looked at the wall I was standing in front of closely and I found a shadow behind me. Very close to me. Was there a ghost here?.
I swiftly turned around and miraculously ducked a glass jar from being hit on my head.
Who was she?. She was obviously a woman, her dark-haired ponytail was more than obvious. She was wearing a mask. I watched as the woman brought out a knife from her boots and turned back at me. All I could do was scream. She wasn't a burglar or anything, she wanted to kill me.
I screamed and took to my heels with Najmah in my hands as she followed me. I rushed into the storage room and locked it so she couldn't try and enter.
My heart was pounding.
I didn't want anything to happen to my daughter. " what do you want?" I screamed as I took out my phone from my bag. I was calling Khalifa. " surrender the child and you'll be fine" May Allah forbid that. Over my dead body. I knew it was a female. She had a very funny English accent." who sent you?"
" Surrender the child" she answered back as she tried opening the door. I was scared honestly.
I didn't want to lose Najmah and I didn't want to lose my life. " Khalifa, please come back to the apartment, we're in danger..." I screamed my lungs out as I watched the door to the storage room open up widely in front of me and the woman walked in holding a lighter she had kindled. My phone fell right out of my hands to the floor. I couldn't let her take Najmah away, I was definitely not going to let that happen. There were some insecticides around and I grabbed one as I held Najmah tightly because our lives depended on it. I sprayed her face as I watched the fire she kindled combine with the insecticide and burned her face. She screamed in pain and staggered back and I found my way out. I ran to the kitchen and took my car keys and ran out of the apartment and into the elevator. I needed to leave the building as fast as I could.
I got down the elevator in the parking area and ran to my car. Najmah was still very much asleep so I carefully and quickly placed her on the front passengers seat, buckled my seatbelt and quickly drove out of the parking area with full speed. I didn't have any gadget to use to call anyone, my phone fell in the storage room. I didn't know what to do right now, I had to inform the police and I had to secure Najmah's safety. I wasn't sure if we were still safe.
I drove to Ummah's place, that was the only place I could sit down, think calmly, inform the police and ensure Najmah's safety.
What was happening?
I honestly had lots of questions floating inside my head.
Who would possibly want to take Najmah away from me?.
I was more than sure that I had zero enemies so who would possibly want to take Najmah away.
———————Jalan Pantai Dalam, Santuary Park Pantai, Kuala Lumpur, 11:00pm.
I got to my parents place safely and rushed in quickly, I had already made sure no one was tailing me. " Oh my Fauziyyah, how're you?” Nanny Aisha asked immediately she opened the door for me to enter. Khalifa had probably called them to inform them. I gently caressed Najmah's back as I walked into the house with her. It was very hard to wake up Najmah from sleep. She needed a shower and a change of clothes so she could sleep well. She had a room here with clothes and everything she needed.
My room was opposite hers, I had enough to wear here also. There were days when Abbah travelled and Ummah needed us to keep her company. Ummi enjoyed staying at home on her own, she said it was much more peaceful.
" My daughter, are you alright?, Khalifa called us and he's on his way here, what happened?" Ummah asked immediately I walked into the living room. She collected Najmah from me as Abbah gave me a warm hug, I really needed it. " we called the police and sent them over to your apartment, what happened Faryah?" Abbah asked as he sat me down on a couch. " someone broke into our house and she wanted to take Najmah away, we're not safe if that person is still lurking around"
" oh my Allah, who would do such a thing?" Ummah exclaimed. She was frightened. " I luckily managed to get away from her, she had this really funny Korean or Chinese accent when she told me to surrender Najmah" that was the only thing we could use to find who she was. " did you get to see her face?" Abbah asked and I shook my head. " I'm sure the police are at your apartment already, you'll go over there tomorrow for questioning, you and Najmah are safe here, I'll get bodyguards for you" He added as he turned ok the television. " We're all not safe until that person is caught, don't you have any idea who would do this to you Faryah" Ummah asked as she patted Najmah's back. " No idea Ummah" I answered and looked at the television. It was at Al- Jazeera news.
There was something about Olyster Textiles on the news. " I'll just change this.."
" No Abbah don't, wait" I snapped and stopped him from changing the channel as I got up from where I sat." Olyster textiles" I gasped as I read what was on the headline of the news.
Eight bombs simultaneously went off in eight branches of Olyster textiles.
In Mexico, Los Angeles, Australia, South Africa, Germany, Turkey, China and Mauritius.
Many civilians lost their lives and the minority were injured. They believed it was a terrorist attack and the Military was doing their best to get to the bottom of it.
It couldn't be a terrorist attack, if it was a terrorist attack then why bomb almost all the warehouses of Olyster textiles. This was personal. To think this also happened when Najmah was about to be taken away from me.
They were related.
These incidents were definitely linked to each other.
Why the both of us on the same night?.
" Oh my, Zainab's family is in a lot of trouble, I'd better call her up" Ummah said as she took her phone that was on the couch.
" How could bombs go off at the same time in multiple countries at the same location, there's more to this that isn't being told to us" Abbah commented as my mind raced. " isn't it weird that this is happening on the night Najmah was almost kidnapped" I said as I paced around the room searching for answers in my head. " Zainab isn't picking up" Ummah said with an extremely worried look on her face.
" You both have a common enemy?" Ummah asked. We didn't have enemies at all I guess. We didn't do anything wrong to anybody. " of course we don't" I answered.
Khalid must be going crazy right now.
All his hard work, everything disappeared in just a few minutes.
He was going to have to compensate the families of the deceased and take care of those that were badly injured. They were going to spend a lot of money.
I was imagining the pain he was feeling. This was a really agonizing phase for the whole family.
Everything was going to be fine.
In Sha’a Allah.
" I'll try calling Zainab again, I'll clean Najmah up and put her to sleep" Ummah said and I nodded and smiled a bit at her. " Thank you Ummah" I answered and hugged her. " You'll have to stay here for the mean time okay my love?"
" Yes Ummah" I returned and she smiled at me as she walked up the stairs.
" You'll be fine okay Fauziyyah?, In Sha'a Allah, you'll be fine" Abbah said as he came closer to us. I honestly had no idea who could cause this great damage to Khalid all by a snap of their finger. They had to be very influential and could carefully do things like this.
The green viper.
A heard a tiny voice call in my head. She wasn't dead and the police hadn't found her, that was what Khalid told me when I woke up from coma.
The Chinese voice was a Korean accent and the lady that attacked probably worked for the green viper.
It all made sense now, she was definitely the only one that could set bombs to go off like that at the same time and at different locations.
Khalid had to know about this.
It was the green viper, she lost her son because he wanted to kill me but it ended up back firing and he died instead. " Abbah, I need a phone, I need to contact Khalid now" I said as I slid out of his hug. " Do you have his number off hand?"
" I don't" He needed to know about my findings. " Abbah do you remember how I told you I went into coma, I was stabbed and hit in the head by the son of a famous child trafficker?, the green viper?"
" oh yes I remember and the police haven't caught her so she's probably the one doing all this for revenge, we're all in great danger Faryah" He was trying so hard to look strong but he was scared. Who wouldn't be scared.
All our lives were in danger. " Yes Abbah, not probably, she's definitely not the one doing this, and this is probably just the beginning" I couldn't believe this. I was so scared. " she's going to kill us all" I added as I broke down. I didn't want to lose my family. I knew we were all going to die eventually but it was going to be by the hands of a brutal child trafficking queen.
" Faryah no, we're all protected, Allah is protecting us you know that so please don't panic, be strong for Najmah" he was right and I knew it but Subhanallah.
What did I get myself into by talking to the police that day?. " you're right Abbah, but I really can't help but worry, we're talking about someone involved with child trafficking, drugs and the cartel, they can do a lot of bad things to us Abbah" I couldn't help but feel terrified. " Faryah listen to me, Allah is above all of them okay, just put all your faith in Allah and everything is going to be fine okay?"
" Yes Abbah, you're right, thank you very much" I answered and sighed deeply. " Everything will be fine okay? In Sha’a Allah" Abbah said as he opened his arms for me and I fell into his warm embrace.
I just had to put my trust in Allah, everything was definitely going to be okay.
In Sha’a Allah.
——————————Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysia, 5:00am.
" Mr Olyster, everything is going to be fine okay" Zarah said as the plane took off. I couldn't stop looking at the news on my phone. Mother sat behind us on the plane. I was ready for another long journey back to Los Angeles. I was going over to the police or whoever that was in charge of the bombing case. I tried calling Brandon to talk to him but to no avail. Even mother tried to call him but we still got nothing. I couldn't handle everything on my own. It was too much for me, Ethan didn't have any idea on how to control everything and Zarah was new, she didn't know the do's and don'ts of the organization. Everything was going to be on me, any single mistake was going to pinned on me.
I was stressed honestly, I was going to go crazy eventually with everything.
"Thank you Zarah" I answered as I kept my phone back in my pocket. " The culprits will eventually be caught no matter what happens and no matter how long it takes"
" I honestly hope so"
" Are you sure you don't have any enemies sir?, no one. I mean you're in a pretty competitive business, you're supposed to have someone" I didn't even have enough time to think about it. " We don't, our competitors won't go this far"
" They won't but someone they know can" She answered and I immediately remembered the incident we had Mr Gabriel. Yes that was it.
The Green Viper escaped the police and they still hadn't found her.
She was definitely behind all this. Why didn't I think about this earlier. Just why
It was clear that she was the one, she was a child trafficker, of course she had every resource to bring us down.
We were in great trouble.
Faryah and Najmah were definitely in great trouble.
Our whole family was.
" Don't worry Zarah, the police are definitely going to find out who's behind all this" My findings were too personal for her to handle. " In Sha'a Allah"
I had a whole lot to handle when I got down the airplane in LA.
We had to calculate the budget we could use to pacify the casualties and the families of the deceased. We were going to have to pay the hospital bills of everyone that was injured.
It was definitely going to cost us a-lot, we had to rebuild warehouses and definitely it was going to cost us a whole lot.
We probably had enough but we needed a lot more hard work and dedication so we could get back on track.
I really hoped I was going to able to do everything on my own.
I've been doing it for a while now so nothing was going to stop me after all. Nothing.
