Chapter 15
Infuriated was the word Jason would use to explain his present emotion as he ransacked his live-in closet for his passport and money, yet found nothing.
It was obvious his tenacious mother and over-prioritized father had invaded his privacy once more, dashing all his immediate plans of eloping with charlotte to the mud.
Jason groaned in frustration, he flung some clothes off the hanger, furiously dragging his expensive leather box out of the wardrobe, and began tearing out everything in it without a second thought.
Seeing red, Jason marched down to his parent's quarters in the east wing muttering incoherent words to himself as he ignored the weird looks by the servants around.
"Where is it?!" He exhaled watching his mother carefully like a predator.
Olivia stopped applying her night lotion and smiled once she saw her son came home.
"Jason you're home! Your father and I were worried, we thought you were in trouble" she squealed in relief caressing his cheeks.
Jason slapped her hands off his face in an ungentle manner taking Olivia by surprise.
"Do not play coy with me mother!! Where are my passport and money? You guys think am a kid?" He yelled, his bass reverberating through the huge house.
The young maid cleaning inside the bathroom excused herself in fear and jittery while Jason cared less, he was blind with rage.
"How dare you, Jason?!" Olivia choked.
"You're an ungrateful son, how dare you use bass on me and hit me? Have you suddenly become a monster who run over innocent people and beat women?! Eh?!... No, tell me Jason, haven't we done enough for you? Or you want us dead before you'd get some sense?..." There was pin-drop silence, Jason said nothing with his head bowed low while Olivia relived the incident.
"Get. out. now!!" She spat icily. "I don't want to see your pity face again, leave!!!" She yelled shocking her son.
Jason stood his ground not shaking. He felt ashamed of himself. His sweet mother was livid with anger all because of his tethering fury and attitude.
Olivia waited for him to leave but he wouldn't, she picked up her night jacket and zoomed off officially done with her son's ineptitude.
His phone buzzed intermittently, Jason was in no mood to speak with anyone. he felt ashamed of his irrational behavior. His mother as he'd known had never raised her voice at him nor had he ever witnessed such pain and disappointment he saw in her eyes.
The caller was persistent, Jason groaned and without a second thought fished out his phone and flung it as far and as hard as he could with the gadget shattering. he strode off and down the fleet of stairs. He could afford thousands of them without a hitch to his account.
No place was home to him, he thought as he drove in his car oblivious to where he was headed.
