Twenty three

"Well, why am I not surprised!" Draco drawled as he wasn't surprised.

"I could immediately tell they weren't behind it. For some reason, I had a feeling that something was most definitely off and I know for a fact that you knew this too. I mean come on, the dead bodies were so skinny and dry almost as if their blood was drained out completely and such a thing cannot be done by any werewolf." Draco stated.

Damien rubbed his eyes with his index and thumb. He was so fucking exhausted because he had little to no sleep.

"Apparently Draco, there's a new villain in town and they're called the creatures cursed by the sun." Damien said with a sarcastic tone and Draco frowned.

"Huh?" Draco asked as he was confused by his statement.

"Creatures cursed by the sun? What are you talking about? What is that?" Draco asked.

"You know what, nevermind. It's just something Kira mentioned to me and she believes they have something to do with the death of our men." He explained briefly before letting out a yawn and stretching his hands tiredly.

His head was starting to ache terribly as he had been thinking of Kira's words and how to reveal to his pack members who his mate was and also deal with Sheila's reaction to the decision he was about to make.

He definitely wasn't going to let her go for Kira but at the same time, he knew there was nothing he could do to fight this fate. She was his mate and the moon goddess supposedly always knows best.

The fact that he hadn't spoken to Sheila for a while now was really bothering him and he was somehow reluctant to speak to her knowing well she would shun and send him off.

"I'm confused with everything you just said but I'm still gonna ask, what is it you plan on doing? What happened in the forest and why didn't you return earlier as expected?" Draco asked.

"Listen bro, a lot of things happened and I can't explain everything but there's actually something that caught my attention during all that happened and I know you might find it weird and all that I'm saying this but I'll tell you anyways. Kira is definitely not an ordinary wolf." He said, peaking Draco's curiosity.

"Really? What makes you say that?" He asked inquisitively.

"Well turns out she's an Eurasia wolf." He said and Draco gasped.

"You have got to be kidding me. You guys got into a fight?" Draco asked.

"No, no, no...not us. We were attacked by some rogues but not just any regular rogues." He replied, shrugging the topic off as he didn't want to tell Draco it was Kira who had done the most and had saved him. He'd be way too embarrassed if he mentioned it.

"I never expected less from her. As much as I hate the Redmoon pack, I know there is something she has that not many of us do." Draco said, feeling proud of himself for not doubting her one bit.

"Yeah yeah yeah, whatever! And what is it you have that no one else does?" Damien fired back at him jokingly with a lopsided grin formed on his face as soon as he spoke.

Draco laughed, "Fuck off you crazy idiot!" Draco replied to his friend jokingly, earning a light smack from Damien who was also laughing.

He knew Damien wasn't one to compliment others and he loved to be the one at the receiving end of compliments which is why whenever someone else got complimented Instead of him, he would make it into a big issue and even go as far as throwing childish tantrums just to get complimented as well. Those who didn't know him thought of his attitude as selfish but he better than anyone else knew his best friend's attitude didn't come from a bad place at all.

Kira walked out of the bathroom naked after what felt like hours of her scrubbing both the visible and the invisible dirt off her body. She couldn't stand the idea of being dirty and recalling what she had gone through earlier made her skin crawl.

She walked to her room to put on some clothes but then the door to her room suddenly flew open with whoever barged in not having the courtesy of knocking first and to her surprise, Damien stood at the door while she stood in the middle of the room completely naked.

Damien's eyes widened as they moved up and down from her face and body. He could not believe what he was seeing.

"What in the actual fuck are you doing here?" Kira yelled at him furiously, hating the fact that he had invaded her personal space like a crazy dog and now there he was in front of her, staring back at her naked body.

"Eew!" Damien replied, faking a gag and Kira's eyes immediately turned blood red.

"Turn the fuck around you stupid, useless pervert!" She yelled at him furiously and Damien, without wasting any time, did exactly as told. He tried as much as he could not to think about what he just saw but he just couldn't help it.

Kira's blood boiled as she hurriedly put on her clothes. She could already envision herself beating the living daylight out of him and boy oh boy was he a dead man.

"Aren't you done already?" Damien asked, getting tired of having to stand around with his eyes closed.

"You better shut your trap hole you idiot!" Kira yelled back at him and that was when Damien realised it would be best if he said nothing at all instead of annoying her even more. He knew it was wrong of him to barge in like that but then again, how was he supposed to know that she still hadn't wrapped up her bath for the last hour and who in the world still comes out of the bathroom without a towel wrapped around their bodies. He already knew she was weird but little did he know that she was also stupid.

Kira, not wasting any time as soon as she wrapped up with her dressing, walked behind Damien and smacked him on the head as hard as she could.

"Holy fuck!" Damien hissed in pain as he wasn't expecting to get hit.

"Are you insane?" He asked furiously.

"I should be asking you that question you idiot! How dare you walk into my room without knocking first? I know you have no brains and I can attest to your thoughtlessness but really you idiot? You lack courtesy as well? To what length is your stupidity for goodness sake? How fucking dare you?" She yelled so furiously, shocking Damien to the point where he didn't know how to reply to her.

"Okay fine, I admit it was wrong of me to have barged into your room like this but you also have no right to hit me like I did it on fucking purpose. I mean, no disrespect but there's absolutely nothing special about seeing you naked." Damien hissed and without wasting any time, Kira sends her right hand flying across his left cheek hard.

Damien staggered in shock as he was not expecting to get it at all. Never in his entire life had he ever been hit by a woman and surprise would definitely be an understatement to describe how he felt at the moment.

"What in the world did you just do?" He asked in a low voice, trying as much as he could to refrain himself.

"What the fuck does it look like I just did you perverted sicko?" She hissed a reply and Damien took in a deep breath to calm himself and avoid reacting in a way he'd end up regretting.

"Okay fine, I guess I deserved that. I apologize again for walking in on you like that but let me be kind enough to repeat myself, there was absolutely nothing to see there. I mean, have you seen yourself? Everything about you is completely unattractive. Seeing you naked is no different from seeing Draco naked so how about you just take a chill pill and relax yourself cause there's really nothing fantastic about your body." He said to her, purposely lying to her face so he could get under her skin and make her feel even worse.

Just because he couldn't hit her back doesn't mean he wouldn't hit her where he knew it would hurt.

Kira stood silently for a few long seconds as the words he had said slowly sunk in. Damien would definitely be the first man beside her father to see her this way and the fact that he just compared her body to Draco's definitely didn't sit well with her and as much as she hated to admit it, she was hurt. Her pride as a woman was hurt and her mind was immediately clouded with anger and pure disgust.

"Get out Damien." She muttered calmly, trying as hard as she could to stop herself from crying but her stupid tear glands had refused to cooperate with her and she didn't even realize when tears slowly start to roll down her cheeks.

Damien could not believe what he was seeing. Yes, his aim was to hurt her but what he wasn't expecting was for his words to have hurt her to the point of tears. He most definitely did not plan to make her cry and seeing her like this made him feel both guilty and uncomfortable.

"Hold on, did my words hurt you that bad? That was only a joke though! Since when did you take me seriously?" He wondered but Kira wasn't having it.

"I just asked you to politely get out, Alpha Damien." She replied, laying emphasis on her last words.

"You need to relax Kira. You're being so unnecessarily dramatic." Damien replied with a scoff and what happened next was definitely not something he was expecting.

Kira already had enough of his blabbering and without bothering to repeat herself, she grabbed him by his arm and dragged him out of her room with all the strength she could muster.

"Stay away from me you terribly sick and demented bastard or the next time, I promise I won't just be kicking you out." She threatened, immediately shutting the door in his face and Damien was beyond shocked by this. The last thing he expected was getting thrown off a room that originally belonged to him and he also didn't like how upset Kira looked.

He knew he was in the wrong but he had absolutely no idea what he could do to settle this cause by the look on Kira's face, it was more than obvious that he had crossed the line and she would not be forgiving him very easily.
