The day bleeds

Lucifer's POV

Once again, she defied me and stayed with me throughout the night and in the early hours of the morning, she was gone. She had left clothes beside me too and as I donned them, I wondered what she was thinking and I wondered why my heart quickened at the thought.

"Isn't she so nice?" Steel said to me and I could hear the twinkles in his voice.

"What's wrong with you Steel? You've been acting weird lately." I said to him as I did my buttons.

"I'm not being weird. I'm only saying she's nice. Nice enough to stay with us during our dangerous moments and get us clothed before the sunrise." He said still speaking in that dreamy voice of his.

"Do you love her?" I asked him.

"I do not know but love is a strong word." He said and retreated without further words. He was not telling me the whole truth and I could feel it. We were one after all but in matters like this Steel always had a mind of his own.

I walked out of the secret passageway and at the same time the door to the weapon room opened.

Kill had a look of surprise on his face. "Dressed up already?" He asked and Ripper emerged from his back too with a surprised look.

"Clothes were lying beside me so I had a dip in the spring rock down there and here I am," I said with a smile.

"Turns out your mistress is very, what's the word?" Kill asked looking like he was in thought.

"Caring," Ripper said chuckling.

"That's it." Kill said smiling and I rolled my eyes.

"I do not mean to question your authority or interfere in your matters Helldog, but you should reconsider treating the lady as your mistress, she's been so supportive of you," Ripper said and I raised a brow while staring at him.

"I should treat her as what then?" I asked him.

"More like your mate and the future Lady of this pack." He said and I just stood there unable to respond to his outburst. I did not glare at him or threaten to cut off his tendons for saying such to me instead I found myself pondering his words. This was a usual thing for me to do.

I shook my head mentally shrugging the thoughts off. I refused to fall victim to the trap she has laid for me.

"Where's Rage?" I asked changing the subject.

"Preparing the saddles for the horse riding events today." Kill said.

"Did he find out who made that outburst yesterday?" I asked him.

He had a frown on his face and so did Ripper.

"What? Who is it?" I demanded urgently knowing they already knew who yelled Ashlyn was my mate.

"Madame Sofia Vergara," Ripper said and I stared at him expressionless letting his words sink into my head the blank look on my face slowly turned into a hard expression as I clenched my jaw.

How dare she?! What was she cooking up in that brainless head of hers?

I walked past them and they followed behind me.

"Where's she?" I inquired.

"In the house but her particular location cannot be pinpointed." Kill said and as I walked down the stairs, I saw her seated on Hawking's lap and being so seducing. I seethe in fury. Women! All the same! Typical whores!

I walked up to them.

"Mon Cheri," She said the instant she saw me.

"Dear friend, would you like to join us?" Hawking asked with a huge grin on his face.

I ignored both their remarks and pulled her roughly from his body and she gasped in surprise at my sudden reaction. I only mishandled her in bed but not this way.

"Mi Amore, why are you so angry?" She asked.

I hissed and pushed her away from me and she stumbled backward falling to the side of the sofa. She raised her head and stared at me in shock.

"Aye Helldog, why are you doing this?" Hawking asked getting up.

"Stay out of this or I'll put you in a fucking coma that you'll never wake up from," I said with a clenched jaw.

He looked at me and then backed off. He knew I did not make an empty threat. I turned back to Sofia.

"What gave you the audaciousness to make such an outburst yesterday?" I demanded.

"What outburst?" She asked getting up to her feet I grabbed her arm tightly at that point.

She whimpered.

"Do not play dumb with me Sofia. You know I do not like to make repetitions of my words." I said glaring at her.

"But I do not know what you're talking about." She denied.

"You're saying you do not know what I'm talking about?" I asked.

She shook her head.

"Alright then," I said letting go of her. "Kill," I called who was standing a few feet away.

"Yes, Lucifer?" He said.

"Get the boiling ring and the coal iron. My dear madame Sofia Vergara has no idea what I am talking about." I said having a wicked smile on my face.

"Yes, Helldog." Kill said and walked away. Sofia stared at me in shock.

"You want to hurt me after what we've been through?" She asked and I raised a brow.

"What the fucking hell have we been through together?" I almost lost my nerve at that statement.

"Listen Helldog, you shouldn't," Hawking began and I turned sharply at him.

"I said back off Hawking!" I yelled glaring at him. "I let you share my mistresses does not give you any right to interfere when I'm talking to them. Am I clear on that?" I said to him and he moved backward not saying a word. Kill returned with the boiling ring and coal iron.

"All hot?" I asked and he nodded.

"Shall we show Sofia that she knows what I'm talking about?" I asked him and he smirked.

"What are you doing Lucifer?" She asked in a panicked voice as Kill walked closer to her with the hot flamed ring. The redness on the ring showed how hot it was.

"You have such smooth skin Sofia, imagine it scarred for eternity?" I said to her and watched as she shrieked the moment Kill grabbed her.

"Alright, alright! I know what you're talking about and I did it!" She yelled out before Kill burn her flesh.

Kill hissed. "You really should have kept denying." He said and left her alone.

"Why?" I asked her as I stared at her trying to piece two and two together.

"I wanted you to lose and see Ashlyn as your distraction." She said and I stared at her. If she wanted me to lose then she was not on it alone.

"Who made you do it?" I demanded.

She stared at me in shock her eyes almost betrayed her as she looked past me. "I swear Lucifer, no one made me do it. I did it on my own." She said to me.

"Having Ashlyn as my mate was not for the rest of the world to know about but you made it known to them," I said to her. There were so many enemies around I could barely tell some. At this rate of them finding this out, anything could happen.

"I was jealous Lucifer. How could such a pathetic vampire be your.."

I did not let her finish when I growled at her and she shivered. "Never in your entire life call Ashlyn pathetic. You do not have that right." I said glaring at her.

"Vino! Vino!" I called out. "Where the bloody hell is Vino?! Someone call me Vino!" I yelled out and Ripper rushed out of the house and a few seconds later returned with Vino.

"My Lord," Vino came quickly lowering on one knee. I looked from him to Sofia.

"Go to Sofia's room and pack all her belongings out of this house. She's leaving the territory of Nightwing never to return." I said to him while my hard glare was focused on her. She was shocked beyond words.

Vino immediately left.

"Lucifer you should not take this..." Hawking began and I did not let him finish as I turned around and dealt him with a sharp blow shutting him up. He staggered back.

"I said you should stay out of this," I said to him.

I turned to see Rage walking towards us. "Are the events about to begin?" I asked him.

"Yes, Lucifer." He said.

"Good," I said and turned to Hawking. Blood trickled down his nose.

"You have a fierce grip Lucifer." He said chuckling.

"I await your presence at the events," I said to him smirking as I walked away from him.

"Take her out of my land," I said to Ripper and he nodded as I walked out of the house.
