Beautiful days turned into deadly nights. Nights of horrors and nightmares. I could not control it rather I was under its influence. This hunger consuming my soul. A ravaging hybrid was what I had become. Seeking prey to devour. Not just to drink blood or drain energy but to take lives and eat fleshes.

This was not me but this was what I had become since the night I was taken to lure Lucifer into a trap set for him.

He had his demons to battle with and here I had mine too. In the mornings, after coming out of his, he tries to fix and salvage mine.

Whenever he places me in restraints to keep me from leaving the house to go hunt, I see naked pains in his eyes which he always tried to mask. He could hide his feelings very well from me then but now he was failing.

Ripper, Rage, Stealth, and Kill could hardly believe what I had turned to, including Roselia who tries to feed me real food just so I could forget about blood and flesh. It did not work.

The instant it went in, it was out. I was too deep into my cravings for blood to hold in any real food.

These were the happenings of the mornings and at nights, Ripper blindfolds me to avoid me compelling him like I did a particular night just to run away to hunt which was against the orders of Lucifer locked away in the passageway fighting his demons.

Ripper blindfolds me and he and the rest of his comrades take me down to Lucifer's secret underground and then lock it up once they were out.

Yes. Just as Lucifer had said, we'd fight these demons together and heal our tormenting souls.

Tonight was just one of the countless nights we had spent together underground. I lay flat on the ground staring at him. The raw hunger in me to feed trying to overwhelm me.

He lay beside me still in his beast form but not as ferocious and vile as before. He was becoming calmer than before.

I had many things to ask him. Why was he this way? And why does he often say he was conceived from hell? I wondered as I recalled what Roselia was yelling after me. What did she mean by he was in the bondage of his birth stars?

I felt his large claws covering my hand and holding it in his. The demonic beast was getting weakened by this connection Lucifer and I were sharing. I was joyous of it but still was curious to know why it was with me.

I placed my other hand on his and smiled despite wanting to flee from this place to relish in the blood of a human. He smiled through the demonic beast too.

"I have a lot to ask Lucifer," I said to him.

He rolled his eyes and grunted. "What is it?" He asked telepathically communicating with me.

"How did you get here? I mean, how are you under the spell of the moon to transform into this?" I asked him.

He took away his hand from mine and turned away.

"Do not do that," I said to him as I moved closer to him placing my head on his large fur arm. "I did not mean to upset you. If you do not wish to speak about it, then do not." I said to him.

"It's not that. It's just hard for me to say." He said in my head.

"Then do not. When it becomes easy for you to say, I'll be right here." I said to him. He turned around and held me to himself and I placed my head on his chest and I could hear his heartbeat.

"Just know, I did not choose this path. It was chosen for me." He said to me and I paid attention to him.

"There's a solution to every problem init?" I asked him.

"There is." He said.

"And what is it?" I asked him. He growled a little. He did not want to tell me about it.

"The remedy is right where it is, all that is left is for me to accept, and I do not just want the remedy because it's a remedy for me. I want to need the remedy because my heart calls out for it truly. Not just because it cures me but because it soothes my condemned soul." He said to me in parables I did not understand. It was a big puzzle I had to figure out. Just a few pieces here and there and I would arrive at an answer.

I said nothing any more but lay there with intense hunger. "I do want to feed," I said to him.

"Control it, love. Only you alone can do this from within." He said and all my head could pick out was the endearing word he called me. I beamed.

Months ago it was whore. Wanton. Mistress. Slave. Spineless vampire. A few weeks ago it was Ashlyn Ambrosia and now it was love. Was this progress? I smiled again and closed my eyes. I thought so much of the tender words he used on me that I forgot about my hunger during the night.

The next thing, I was dropped into the water and I fell with a thud. I opened my eyes sharply. "What the bloody hell, Lucifer!" I yelled and he erupted into laughter.

"Done pretending?" He asked still laughing at me. Bloody hell, he knew I was pretending! Yet he did this to me.

"How could you?" I asked him staring at him with accusing eyes.

He did not stop laughing. His laughs were genuine, reaching up to his eyes as the corners cringle. His laughs were infectious and I found myself laughing at myself too.

He stepped into the water. "You were trying to trick me, hm?" He said.

I chuckled and turned to leave the water when he pulled me back placing his lips on the corner of my neck.

"What if I do not want this?" I asked him despite knowing that it was exactly what I wanted.

"You have no choice." He said firmly as he lifted his head from my neck, pulling me closer to him at the same time.

I raised a sharp finger and traced lines on his neck with a saucy smile. "I scratch and bite now," I warned him.

"You'll crawl and beg too." He promised. His eyes filled with languid passion and a devilish twinkle in them.

He reached for the zipper at the back of my wet dress and as he slowly unzipped it, his lips caught my chin and as his lips caressed, his teeth grazed.

He pulled the dress down and it caught at my hips. He forced it down and when I slipped out of it, he threw it away. There was nothing in his way to stop him from taking me here and now.

Lucifer cursed under his breath and so did I. They were about to ruin the moments we were anticipating for.
