Dylan caught Noah off-guard when he suddenly attacked him from behind. Dylan was in so much rage that he wanted to kill Noah at this moment. He was the reason for all his problems.
Everything had been going so well according to plan. Dylan had struggled for the past few years and worked his ass off to get complete control over the Company. He just had to fit Aiden into his life the same way he was in his teen years, and everything would be perfect. But his plan was ruined by Noah. Not only had he changed Aiden, he even had the audacity to suggest Aiden leave Dylan and stay with him. How dare he?
At that thought, Dylan saw red and began continuously punching Noah in his face.
Aiden was shocked when he saw Dylan beating Noah. His body seemed to be paralyzed with fear. He badly wanted to stop Dylan, but this aggressive version of him was the one he dreaded the most. His thoughts were interrupted when he heard a thud sound. Noah had hit his head on the wall and was bleeding.
Something suddenly snapped within Aiden, and his feet moved on his own accord. He forgot about his fear of Dylan since right now, he had only one thing in his mind; to save Noah.
He approached Dylan and said, " Leave him."
Dylan ignored Aiden and proceeded to hit Noah.
Aiden tried again, this time a bit louder. " Please leave him; he's hurt."
This time Dylan heard Aiden and turned around to look at him. " Stay out of it if you know what's best for you," he yelled, making Aiden flinch and back away.
Dylan seemed satisfied and smirked at Aiden's reaction. " That's how you are supposed to be, meek and obedient."
Noah wiped the blood on his forehead and stared at Aiden in pain. He didn't try to defend himself because he wanted to see if Aiden would fight against his fear for his sake.
Dylan turned to face Noah again and raised his hand to hit him but paused when he heard Aiden again.
" Please...stop."
" You leave and wait for me in my office," Dylan sneered at Aiden without looking back.
" Please don't hurt Noah. He didn't do anything wrong," Aiden pleaded, trying to approach Noah.
Seeing that, Dylan's anger shot up a notch higher. " Don't you dare," he screamed. "Didn't I tell you to leave? Why are you still here?"
" I-I can't leave him like that," Aiden said, pointing at Noah.
" You are defying me again," Dylan said, turning towards Aiden. " Didn't I tell you to break up with him? Why did you meet him again?" He was about to slap Aiden, but Noah held Dylan's hand.
" I can tolerate you hitting me, but I won't let you harm him," Noah snapped, pushing Dylan's hand aside.
Dylan roared angrily and punched Noah again.
On instinct, Aiden pushed Dylan very hard and screamed, " Get away from him, Dylan." He then rushed toward Noah, helped him stand up, and asked, " Are you alright?"
Dylan was shocked by Aiden's reaction. For the first time, Aiden had dared to raise his hand on him, and that too for someone else. He stood there staring at Aiden, looking at Noah in concern, and felt like a dagger piercing his heart. His emotions were all over the place, and he didn't know how to react, so he just turned around and left without saying a word.
Aiden was relieved seeing Dylan leave. He looked at Noah's wounds and said, " You are bleeding. I will take you to the Doctor."
" I am fine now, " Noah said, smiling at Aiden.
" You just got beaten up, and you are smiling?"
" I am happy," Noah said, giving Aiden a peck on his lips. " Love you."
Aiden shook his head and said, " Now come on, let's go."
Dylan walked to his office like a robot. His secretary tried to interrupt him, but he ignored her and closed the door on her face. He was carrying Aiden's ID card in his hand, which he caught when Aiden had pushed him. Looking at Aiden's picture, the events continuously flashed in front of his eyes, and his shock soon turned to rage, making him thrash the items and furniture in his office. The employees were scared at their CEO's behavior, and no one dared to approach him except his secretary.
" S-Sir, what's wrong," she whispered from outside his office door.
" Get away from here," Dylan screamed so loud the secretary cringed in fear. Not knowing what to do, she called Mr. Hunt and told him about the situation.
As an hour passed, Dylan remained locked in his office and did not respond to his employees' numerous requests. Finally, Mr. and Mrs. Hunt arrived, opened the office door with their ID, and entered.
The office was a mess. The laptop, phone, shelves, everything was broken and lying around. Papers were thrown here and there, and Dylan sat on the sofa, looking distraught, staring at the ID card.
" What the f**k happened here?!" Mr. Hunt exclaimed.
" Son..." Mrs. Hunt said in concern and approached Dylan. " What's wrong with you?"
Seeing his parents, Dylan gritted his teeth and said, " It's nothing. You don't have to worry."
" How can we not worry?" Mrs. Hunt said. " Look at you; look at your office."
" Please leave now, Mom. I want to be alone."
" First, tell me, what's wrong?"
Dylan was getting angrier by the minute. " Just go," he screamed so loud the employees were all staring in shock.
Mr. Hunt, who cared too much about his image, quickly closed the door and glared at his son. " How dare you raise your voice? Don't forget we are your parents."
" Oh, I know that very well."
" Don't use that tone with me," Mr. Hunt spat. " What the hell is going on with you?"
" Please don't interfere in my Business. I don't want to talk about it."
Mrs. Hunt then saw the ID card Dylan was holding and suddenly asked. " What is that you are holding?"
" It's nothing," Dylan tried to hide the card, but his Dad snatched it from his hand.
" Aiden Grey...?" Mr. Hunt asked, surprised. "Does he work here?"
" What?" Mrs. Hunt suddenly shot up. " What did you say?" She took the ID from Mr. Hunt and glanced at it. " What's the meaning of this, Dylan?"
" It's what you see," Dylan said casually.
" How can you be so cool about it? Why did you allow him to work here?"
" It's me who got him to work here in the first place."
" Why would you do that? He left our home years back."
" He didn't leave mom," Dylan sneered. " You forced him to leave."
" It doesn't matter," Mr. Hunt said exasperated. She looked around the wrecked office and suddenly came to a realization. " All this... is it because of him?"
Dylan didn't respond and just ignored her.
" I knew it. I always knew that boy was bad news."
" Stop it, Mom. It's annoying."
" Is this the way to talk?" Mrs. Hunt said, appalled.
" You don't have manners, boy," Mr. Hunt roared.
" I am not a boy anymore, Dad. Don't treat me like a child."
" You are arguing with us for that orphan?" Mrs. Hunt said. " That guy is trying to ruin your life."
"It's not him; it's you," Dylan said, looking from his Mom to Dad.
" What do you mean?"
" If you hadn't sent Aiden away, all this would have never happened."
" I did it for your own good, son," Mrs. Hunt said sweetly. " Look at what all you have achieved in the past few years."
" I could achieve everything only because Aiden was my driving force."
" What nonsense? It's because of us. We sent you to an elite University."
" Oh, come on, Mom. You are the one talking nonsense here."
Mr. Hunt was so angry at his son's behavior that he raised his hand to slap him, but Dylan held his hand and spat, " Don't try to hit me. I already told you I am no longer a child."
" How dare you?" Mr. Hunt yelled. " Don't forget I made you the CEO of this Company. If I wish, I can throw you out of here anytime."
" Please calm down, honey; he's our son," Mrs. Hunt tried to appease her husband.
" How can I calm down? He's an ungrateful brat. After doing so much for him, is this how he treats us?"
" I will talk to him, honey." Mrs. Hunt turned to Dylan and said, " Dylan, you have been misguided by that boy. Get rid of him, throw him out of your life, and everything would be alright."
" No, never."
" Try to understand. He is not a good influence."
" You try to understand, Mom. I am no longer a teenager whom you can control."
" Don't be under the impression that we can't control you," Mr. Hunt interrupted. " This empire still belongs to me. I am the Chairman here."
Dylan chuckled at his Dad's words. " Are you sure, Dad?"
Mr. and Mrs. Hunt looked at each other in confusion. " What are you trying to say?"
" You have been away from the Company for too long, Dad, so you don't know what's happening here. Good for you; You should concentrate on your political career."
" Is this some kind of a joke?"
" No, it's not. Both of your shares are now under my name, so I am the new Chairman," Dylan smirked. " You never wanted a son, just a hier who could take care of your Business. Finally, your dream has come true."
" Y-You... H-How?" Mr. and Mrs. Hunt couldn't believe their ears.
" It's not a big deal, Dad. Are you more upset about losing the Company or your control over me? "
" D-did you do it for money?" Mrs. Hunt asked. " Everything belongs to you, Dylan. You didn't have to go behind our back."
" It's not the money, Mom. I am capable enough to earn it myself. The thing I can't tolerate is someone else having control over me.
