That night, Yue Tingfeng went home.
Finally seeing her son home, Mrs. Yue rushed over to Yue Tingfeng. “Son, have you been busy lately?”
“Not too much, what’s the matter?” Yue Tingfeng replied while taking his coat off and tossing it to Aunt Wu.
Mrs. Yue pulled him over to the sofa. “Did you know that slut, Yan Qingsi, has become a movie star?”
Yue Tingfeng loosened his tie. “What about that?” he asked nonchalantly.
“Did you know she’s been very close to that singer recently? Can you believe her taste? How is that singer better than my son? Oh, and have you heard the tabloid gossips too? Some say she had an abortion to be somebody’s mistress. Rumors about her are everywhere on the Internet now.”
Yue Tingfeng’s face darkened. “Those are all fake news, can you not just simply believe any hearsay out there? Which movie star has never had any gossip before? You, of all people, who have had tertiary education, how could you blindly believe all those hearsay like a sheep?”
“Why would it be fake? I saw people presenting all sorts of evidence to back up their claims,” Mrs. Yue retorted before continuing, “Now, why would you be defending her? Don’t tell me you went frolicking with her again?”
Yue Tingfeng stood up and proclaimed, “Yeah, as a matter of fact, I just came back from frolicking with her.”
Mrs. Yue quickly tried to talk him out of it. “You better cut off ties with that little slut, son. Just the Yan family and their mountain of debt is already a handful to deal with. If we’ve rejected Yan Ruke before, we will have to reject her too.”
“Mum, how many times do I have to tell you?” Yue Tingfeng shot back, shaking his head. “Stop messing around with my affairs. You can’t tell me what to do, so why even go through all that trouble?”
“You… You… How could you talk to your mother like that?”
Yue Tingfeng slowly unbuttoned his sleeves. “I’ve always talked to you like that. You should’ve gotten used to it by now. I know what’s going on between Yan Qingsi and I. If all those comments on the web were true, I would’ve kicked her away from the beginning. There’s no one in this world who is capable of taking advantage of your son yet.”
“I’m tired, I’ll take my leave first,” Yue Tingfeng added, leaving with a wave of his hand, stranding Mrs. Yue alone in the living room, helpless.
After shutting the door behind him, Yue Tingfeng quickly fished out his cell phone and gave Yan Qingsi a call. The line went through, but it was quickly rejected by the other side.
Yue Tingfeng glared at his cell phone, daring a flower to sprout out from Yan Qingsi’s number.
Hanging up on her boss, she must not want to live anymore.
Yue Tingfeng quickly gave Jiang Lai a call, sending him to check Yan Qingsi’s work schedule for tonight.
Jiang Lai promptly reverted with answers. “Mr. Yue, I just asked Director Chai, he said Miss Qingsi had no scenes for tonight.”
“Got it.”
Yue Tingfeng was starting to feel uneasy. If she was not shooting on set, then why was she not picking up her phone?
It was the middle of the night, what was she up to again?
Meeting other guys? Or…

In the dark of night, Yan Qingsi rejected Yue Tingfeng’s call and continued to question Tang Yuyao, “I’ll ask you one last time, are you really sure you don’t want the baby anymore?”
Tang Yuyao shook her head, answering adamantly, “No.”
“Good. We shall proceed with our plan then. Starting the day after tomorrow, take action when you have the chance, and let there be no mistakes.”
“Don’t worry, there will be no mistakes, I’m definitely going to grab this chance with both hands. Thank you so much for all this.”
“Nobody needs to thank anyone. We are comrades. We strive for the same goal.”
After sending Tang Yuyao off, Yan Qingsi checked her phone to see four missed calls from Yue Tingfeng.
Yan Qingsi could not help but smirk under her facemask. ‘Yue Tingfeng oh Yue Tingfeng, let us see how many more of my games you can take.’
Yan Qingsi could pretty much confirm now that Yue Tingfeng’s interest was no longer just simple curiosity. When a man has started to become jealous, how far could he be from love?
