Out of nowhere, Yan Qingsi stepped real close to Qu jing, this had startled him and caused him to step back. He said nervously, “What are you doing, I never thought about taking advantage of you.”

Jiang Lai noticed Yan Qingsi’s sudden arrival and said, “Miss Qingsi, what brings you here?”

“Is he free?” Qingsi asked.

“Of course he is. He will always have time for you,” Jiang Lai replied.

This remark made Qingsi smile a little. She thought to herself just how nice for Yue Tingfeng to have a couple of competent people by his side.

Jiang Lai escorted Yue Qingsi into Tingfeng’s office, he knocked on the door twice to make sure Yue Tingfeng was aware before allowing Yan Qingsi to enter.

Still thinking it was Jiang Lai, Yue Tingfeng looked up and said, “What’s wrong?”

Hearing no reply, before he could resume on his work, he felt a hand gently tilting his chin up out of nowhere and a voice simply said, “Here to see you.”

Yue Tingfeng was completely caught off guard by her sudden presence, he was forced into an awkward head tilt as he could only look up at Qingsi. Both of them were in a very weird position, he could not help but burst out in laughter. He said, “Wow, I am so surprised right now. You actually came over for me.”

Yan Qingsi simply shrugged at his comment and said, “I waited a whole night for you to climb in my bed, since you kept me waiting and never showed up so I figured I bring myself to you!”

After hearing her playful reply, Yue Tingfeng grabbed her arm and gave it a kiss. He then said, “You know, I truly hope that was the truth but seeing how my recent luck had turned out, I refuse to believe that’s true. So tell me, what brings you here?”

“I need you to lend me fifty million. After I’m done with what I’ve planned, I will return it to you,” Yan Qingsi replied.

“Sure not a problem at all. But before I hand you the money, could you at least let me in with whatever it is that you’re planning to do with this much out of the blue?” Yue Tingfeng said.

“Let me guess…” Yue Tingfeng said while pouring a glass of water and placing it in front of Yan Qingsi. With a slight tug, Yan Qingsi was now sitting on Yue Tingfeng’s lap, he kissed her gently on her ears and whispered, “Yan Songnan came looking for you didn’t he? The industry and commerce bureau would be investigating all of his company’s accounts. He owed them a hundred million. If he could not somehow pay up the money he owed, it does not matter how many strings he pulled, no one in the living world could save him. So I’m guessing that you promised to throw him a lifeline and worked out an agreement with him, didn’t you?”

This very comment caught Yan Qingsi completely off guard. She could not believe just how accurate he had guessed on a whim. He had known since day one that Yan Songnan would shamelessly ask for her help and she would be the only person who could find him.

Yue Tingfeng was no simple man. In fact, he was quite the wise one.

“Don’t you think that perhaps he begged me with his life, and I think that he may be my dad, he is known to make rash decisions on a whim so I decided to help him?” Yan Qingsi shot back at him.

Yue Tingfeng had kissed Yan Qingsi’s ears quite flirtatiously to the point of discomfort. Yan Qingsi retaliated by pushing his head playfully away.

This caused Yue Tingfeng to retaliate harder by biting her ears. He snarkily remarked, “If I had known you to be this kind-hearted, I would have long since taken your heart away and I wouldn’t have been taken advantage of by sleeping with you only to be chased away the next morning.”

The fact that he would not stop mentioning that incident pissed her off and she simply replied, “You know, I am not as shallow as you think I am. I don’t just sleep with anyone.”

Yue Tingfeng pinched her chin forcing Yan Qingsi to look him straight in his eyes. “Just tell me the truth, what is your endgame dealing with him?” Yue Tingfeng probed further.

“I gave him several options. Whichever option he picks is up to him, I’m not forcing him to do anything,” Yan Qingsi said playfully with a smile.

Yue Tingfeng knew from the look of her eyes that she was not telling him the full truth so he probed even further and pinched her chin harder, he said, “You, Yan Qingsi, why did you reduce yourself to deal with these scumbags waste of space. You are above this, dealing with them will gain you nothing you know?”
