A soft smile appeared on Yan Qingsi’s as she watched the mother and son bicker.

At night, Ji Mianmian was hungry and headed out to get some food. As she was riding the elevator, the director, assistant director, and producer walked in with Ye Shaoguang.
At the sight of Ye Shaoguang, Ji Mianmian clenched her fists.
They were in an elevator with surveillance cameras and witnesses. She could not make a scene.
When the director saw Ji Mianmian, his tone turned angry. “When is Yan Qingsi coming back for her shoot? Is she not interested anymore?”
“I don’t know. You should ask Miss Qingsi personally.”
“Aren’t you her assistant? Shouldn’t you know? Tell her to get back to work. After her row with the director and the crew, she still has the audacity to not show up.”
Ji Mianmian huffed discontentedly. “Yes, she’s not at fault. What she did was right…”
A red flush spread across the director’s face. “You’re just a measly assistant and you dare say such a thing to me. Do you still want your career?”
Ji Mianmian eyed him contemptuously. “Why can’t I speak freely? You’re not my boss, you’re not the one paying my wages. I don’t want to be an actress. You may think you’re oh-so powerful but you’re nothing in my eyes.”
“You, you… insolence. You’re just the same as Yan Qingsi. Tell her, if she has the guts, don’t come back.”
The elevator stopped at the director’s floor and the doors opened. He stomped out in an angry fit while the assistant director and producer trailed behind.
Ye Shaoguang did not exit the elevator. Instead, his slender finger reached out and pressed the close button.
A look of caution passed Ji Mianmian’s face. “Don’t think that being in an elevator will prevent me from thrashing you.”
Ye Shaoguang took a few steps forward and cornered Ji Mianmian. “Yan Qingsi is now in a precarious situation. It’s going to be hard for her to get out of this.”
“That’s none of your business.” Ji Mianmian’s words dripped with hate.
Ye Shaoguang’s lips quirked up. “Of course it is my business.”
Warning sirens sounded in Ji Mianmian’s head. “What do you want?”
“I want—” Ye Shaoguang leaned forward and whispered into Ji Mianmian’s ear, “—to bed her assistant.”
The next moment, a loud shriek echoed from the elevator. “WHAT…”
Ji Mianmian gave Ye Shaoguang a hard push. She pointed at the man and shouted, “You… You pervert…”
Ye Shaoguang regained his balance and unbuttoned his sleeves. As he rolled them up, he said, “Yes, you have the honor of seeing what a pervert looks like today.”
Ji Mianmian had a distressed look on her face. “I can’t believe you want to sleep with Lil Xu. I never thought you’d be such a scoundrel…”
‘Wait… who the hell is Lil Xu?’ thought Ye Shaoguang.
Ding! The elevator doors opened. As Ji Mianmian made a move to leave, Ye Shaoguang pulled her back. He quickly pressed for a higher level.
He had her in the elevator now. He pinched the acupuncture point on Ji Mianmian’s hand as a wicked grin grew on his face. “Weren’t you once open to sleeping with me for Yan Qingsi’s sake? Don’t you want to help her now?”
“Of course I want to but you can’t have Lil Xu. I’m not homophobic but…”
Ye Shaoguang went down and bit Ji Mianmian’s lips. He growled, “The person I want to sleep with…is you! Dummy!”
