CHAPTER 18
CHAPTER 18
ALEX
“Stop it guys!!”
“Don’t Growl at me!” She pointed a finger.
“I have to tell you something.” I turn around and shut the door.
“I have been friends with Teala for a long, long time.”
“How old are you?”
“I’m eight hundred years old.”
“Not bad for eight hundred.” Mikah said with a smile.
“Thanks!” Alex gave him a wink.
“I have powers also”.. I have been awaiting Teala’s rebirth.”
“I sensed Ala was going to be the carrier.”
Because only her mother carries the gene that Teala needs to be reborn.
“I’m so happy to have my friend back..” AND WE ARE GOING TO GET HER BACK!”
Alex's voice booms.
“Now Boys, I think I can help.”
“I may be able to wake Teala.”
Since we are connected through the moon goddess.
I sat down in the middle of the room.
Drawing a big circle around me.
“Guys. I want you to stand at the four corners of the circle.”
“It’s a circle. I don’t see any corners.” Mikah said smiling.
“You're such a smart ass Mikah.” Mikah’s smile widens.
“OK, just spread out around the circle.”
“I’ll be right back.”
I leave the room and come back a few minutes later.
Everyone is still in place.
I look at Mikah. “ Good dog.” I smile..
Mikah growls at me.
I turn and put dirt in Adam's right hand.
turning to Kenon, placing a glass of water in his right hand.
Jeremy, I place a feather.
And Mikah, I give a matchstick..
“HEY! Why are theirs bigger?” Mikah asked, pouting.
Ok, Mikah. If you are done measuring who's is bigger, Can we get started.
Mika smirked.
Mines bigger. Wiggling his eyebrows.
Then he looked down at his little match and his smile faded.
Everyone burst out laughing.
“Guys, can we get started? This is serious.”
Everyone stretches out their right hand towards Alex in the middle.
I start chanting.
Earth, wind, fire, water
I call upon the Moon Goddess.
Please help me connect to Teala, your servant and friend.
Alex touches the dirt and a leaf sprouts from it.
Touching the feather, it starts floating .
Touching the match, it sparks.
Touching the water, a bubble appears.
SHOW US TEALA! MY MOTHER MOON GODDESS. Alex chanted.
A picture, like a silent film, appears over Alex’s head.
Everyone's eyes go big.
Ala is sitting on a cot. Shackled to a wall.
There’s a female with her.. Pulling her hair and yelling at her.
“Does anyone recognize her?” I ask.
I noticed a dark blue tattoo on the woman's wrist.
I recognize it, “I’ve seen that symbol before. It’s a coven in Tyler.”
The picture disappears.
JOSHUA POV
I’m standing with the rest of the Warriors,
while Adam tells us. That we need to be ready.
Because he’s not sure if the threat on Ala is isolated.
Adam said, A threat on a pack member is an attack on the pack itself.
“Whoever it is thinks we’re weak.”
“We will show them who's weak!!” Adam yells.
Cheers and growls erupt from the crowd.
I need four groups and two trackers in each group.
First group takes the south border. Second, take the North. And so on..
Don’t leave the cave or basement unchecked. Adam said.
Adam tells the warriors he will question them to see if maybe they heard or seen something that can help in the capture of the ones responsible.
I need to get out of here.
I look around and everyone is listening to Adam and not paying any attention to me.
I duck down and make my way to the tree line.
I look back and everyone is still looking at Eric.
Except for one guy. And he is staring right at me..
I turn and run.
Not looking back.
I arrive at my uncle's house and Alaina isn't anywhere in sight.
I wanted to see her.
My mind has been on her ever since I left.
I open my uncle's office and he is there reading his grandfather's logs.
Come in son. He tells me.
“How is Ala?”
“And where is Alaina?” Damn, my hands are sweating just thinking about Alaina.
“She’s in the cells.” My uncle said..
“Why? “
“Have you taken a liking to her and are ready to toss Ala aside?”
Why are my hands so sweaty? I'm thinking.
Rubbing my hands on my pants.
I tell my uncle “ I’m just going to check on Alaina., I mean Ala.”
Riker’s laughing at me.
Not funny!! I’m thinking.
Well, It’s kinda funny.. I smile.
Walking down the stairs , I hear Ala yelling in pain.
I can’t show myself or she will know I had something to do with this.
I peek around the corner, just out of view.
