CHAPTER 7

Ala runs through the woods up to her back door.

Thank goddess the door is open.

She creeps in and up the stairs without being seen.

Her mom must still be at work and Jeremy must've left the door open, AGAIN.

Ala gets to her room and is looking at herself in a floor length mirror.

I’m beautiful!!

Now that's more like it. Teala said.

We are unique.

I have white paws and dark and light red fur.

Can I shift back now?

I need a shower.

Yes.. Just concentrate on your human form and you should shift back.

I’m still looking in the mirror when I start shifting back.

It will be easier the next time you shift.. It shouldnt hurt like today.

Thank Goodness, I really don't want to go through that again.

I need a shower and some rest before mom gets home.

Ala’s POV

I take my shower and put on my night pants and a tank top.

While combing my hair out I notice small sparks running through my hair.

Small sparks of electricity running through my fingers.

Teala told me it’s my magic.. That sounds weird, but I won't question her.

I head to the kitchen to grab something to eat and a water bottle.

I’m starting to feel sleepy and head back up to my room.

Crawling in bed. Placing my water on my nightstand, I turn off the light and I'm out.

-DREAM-

I’m running through the woods and I am being chased by something.

I fall and my leg is hurting.. I’m scared and crying..

I look towards the bushes and see a shadow.

Two shadows come closer to me and, one of the shadows grab me from behind

I feel a sharp pain in my neck and I’m out.

End OF DREAM.

I woke up scared. It felt so real.

I looked at the clock and it read 11:00pm.

I took a few sips of water and felt a little better.

I'm still sleepy and after a few minutes I fall back to sleep.

-DREAM-

I’m in a room I've never been in before.

Wait, it looks like a room in the pack house.

I see Eric laying on the bed staring right at me.

I was hoping you would come. Eric said.

Am I doing this or are you? He asked.

I’m not really sure but I think it’s me doing it.

Dream walking is very unusual. Eric tells me.

I crawl up on the bed and Eric makes room for me.

How did you jump so high today?

I’m not sure how many times someone has asked me that today.

Eric, can I just lay down with you and we will talk about it later..

I had a bad dream earlier and I

Just feel safe with you. Is that ok?

Eric nods and wraps his arms around me and pulls me down to him.

I place my head on his shoulder and my hand on his chest.

It just feels right when I'm with him.

I know he feels the same.

We have done this so many times.

He kisses my forehead and says, Get some sleep, I'll see you tomorrow.

END OF DREAM.

I woke up back in my room.

Why can’t I wake up just once and still be in his arms.

I sigh and look at the clock.

It’s Seven in the morning..

I go to the bathroom and brush my teeth and wash my face.

Heading down to the kitchen, I can hear mom and Jeremy talking.

Jeremy is telling mom about what happened at training yesterday.
