Tears were flowing out of her eyes. She couldn't help but reach out to touch it. However, the 3D light beam rippled and tore the enormous body of the Void Hunter into mottled pictures.
It was exactly the case for the Void Hunters in reality.
With its body that was as enormous as a mountain, it stood between human beings and the space ripples and endured most of the destructive force from the 'space quakes'.
Although the Void Hunters were talented and had keen senses about space, allowing them to adjust the frequency of their cells so that they could adapt to the various kinds of twisted space, the damage of the 'space quakes' was still beyond their limits. Within several minutes, their enormous bodies were cracking at a visible speed, spurting out thick bodily fluids that looked like the blood of human beings.
Protected by Shanuya, the panicked human starships accelerated their escape.
However, such a speed was destined to be unable to escape the clutches of the red and blue swirls.
Shanuya's skin was as red as possible, like a burning torch in the universe.
The flames even reached the space next to the beast and spread out dazzling ripples, giving the hideous beast bright and glamorous wings.
Peipei's eyes widened. She immediately realized what Shanuya was up to.
It wanted to enter the space jump state and bring all the human beings through the four-dimensional space to avoid the 'space quakes'.
It was an extremely dangerous action!
Even though the space was stable and the environment was peaceful, space jumps were still dangerous enough, not to mention that the space was collapsing because of the 'space quakes'. Invisible space cracks were harvesting all the lives nearby like sickles.
Under such circumstances, a space jump was like a high-speed storm in a city that was about to experience an earthquake.
But they had no other options. It was their only way of escape.
The surviving human starships realized what Shanuya was up to, too. Like drowning victims grasping a life-saving straw, they hurried to Shanuya and tried to hide among the tentacles of the Void Hunters.
Everybody seemed to have forgotten the purpose of their trip and that they had come to this dangerous space zone to kill the 'demon' that was Shanuya.

Peipei stared at the fleeing starships, not knowing what to say.
For a moment, she even wanted to spit on the starships and the commander, her father, and her brother.
Those shameless bastards were not qualified to accept the protection of Shanuya. They were not qualified to take advantage of Shanuya's innocence and kindness and even sacrifice her!
Peipei even hoped that Shanuya would leave them alone and that she could run away on her own. With the natural talents of the Void Hunters, there was a good chance that she could escape from the 'space quakes' if she abandoned all human beings.
As for them… Peipei would rather die than to face Shanuya again with such contempt!
It was a pity that Shanuya could not hear her screams or curses.
The tentacles of the Void Hunters, which had been opened to the maximum, had covered dozens of human starships and fixed them to themselves with the suction force of the sucking discs.

His body and even his soul turned transparent. The wall and the deck that separated him from Shanuya were all melted. He seemed to be able to touch Shanuya and communicate with it telepathically.

About two thirds of its tentacles were withered and torn off. The remaining one third were riddled with holes and twitching nonstop.
His body, which used to be healthy and glamorous, was now covered in ugly black spots. Many parts of his body were dented, as if his flesh and blood had been burnt by the fire of space.
There was also a shocking scar at the center of its body, which must've been left by the tearing of space and almost tore it in half.
Although its body was still intact, a lot of body fluid was spurting out of its wounds and floating around it, turning into pearls.
Shanuya was no longer able to protect all the human starships. It lost all its strength, and all the starships were blown hundreds of thousands to millions of kilometers away. Under its careful protection, most of the starships were miraculously not hurt in the 'space quakes' or the space jumps. They were still able to cruise normally or even fire.
But it was floating quietly in the sea of stars, not moving at all. There was no telling whether it was breathing or…
Peipei did not dare to think any further.
The girl was enveloped in an inexplicable emotion. Her every nerve was trembling. She didn't know where she got the courage from, but she made up her mind to do something 'treasonous'.
Peipei suddenly pulled open the cabin door and lunged towards the escape capsule.
