36 FINDING SEB

ABBY

They’re all good people, and I’m so horrible. I don’t deserve like them.

“You need to take a rest, darling. We still don’t have news. You better go up to his room and get some sleep,” Jules says. The way she talks, she reminds me of my mother.

“I don’t think I can sleep for as long as I don’t know where Sebastian is. I’ll wait for him.”

“You need your strength, darling. I don’t think he let you sleep when he comes home. You’ve been far from him for days.” She gives me a teasing smile, and I just blushed, oh God.

“I promise to wake you up as soon as we hear the news.” Trix winks.

“Have you eaten something, sweetheart?” Dad asks.

I don’t even feel hungry. The last time I had was breakfast.

“I’m not hungry, Dad. I just want to know that Sebastian is okay. Then that’s the time I will eat. He’s probably starving or worse, hurt. I don’t know what to do if something bad happens to him.” My chin trembles again.

“It’s all my fault. All of you should be angry with me. He drunk to stupor and drove by himself because I was such a stupid, stubborn, and I don’t deserve your kindness,” I say guiltily.

“Abby baby, your husband won’t die until you two talk. How many times he said last night that he loves you and misses you, you have no idea. He won’t give up until he makes things right,” Patrick tells me, but still, I feel guilty.

“Did they check his house?” I ask.

“Yes. They check the security feeds, and he didn’t go there. He usually informed before he went to his house during weekdays. The housekeeper didn’t receive any call from him last night,” His dad explains.

“Why did his car stop outside the road, or what is he doing in that place? Run out of gas? Or what?” Trixie questions, then she looks at me.

“Do you know any place he usually goes when he is upset?” I ask everyone.

“Not that I know of. He never gets upset. He gets mad about works, but he never gets drunk to oblivion. We always meet at Night Stalker, it’s Paul’s nightclub, but last night nobody saw him there. When he’s angry, he calls me, and I come over. He’d never been upset about a woman before,” Patrick explains and shrugs.

“Is that make me feel better or makes me feel more guilty? “I stare at him.

“Abby baby, I’m just telling you where he would possibly hide.” He rolls his eyes.

I suddenly remember. Oh, my God. I cover my mouth and look at them one by one. My hope spikes up.

“I need a car. I know where he’s hiding. Oh, my god, Sebastian.” I am already on my feet and run towards the door.

“Wait. Where are you going?” Patrick yells.

I stop. “To find my husband, duh!” And they just look at me as if I’ve gone insane. “Are you all coming or not?”

I groan, and that’s when they follow me.

“Are you sure he’s there?” Peter asks.

“I’m sure. When you’re upset, you drink, right? And that part of his house nobody knows it exists, only him and me. I know he’d go there. That’s where he proposed.” I look at them.

Chris finally says, “Then let’s go.”

We decide to separate rides. I stay with Trix, Pat, and Mason. Mason takes the driver seat, and Pat is in the passenger seat. Trix and I are at the back.

“Hi, Mason. Good to see you again,” Trix says to Mason while twisting her hair with her finger.

“Hello, Trixie. Good to see you too,” Mason says back.

“Both of you stop flirting while I’m around,” Patrick snarls.

“Oh, stop it, Patty. They’re just saying hi and hello,” I deadpan.

“Huh, Abby baby. That’s my sister, and I can feel that these two are about to attack each other,” Pat snorts.

“Wow, brother. We’re both the same age, and don’t you think you’re overreacting?” Trix glances at Mason.

Mason clears his throat. “I don’t have bad intentions towards Patricia.”

“What do you mean by bad intentions, Mason? And now, it’s Patricia, huh? That’s sweet.” The sarcasm in Patrick’s voice is so thick, but I want to giggle at Trixie and Mason.

Mason just drives calmly, ignoring Patrick’s glare.

“I still have a husband to find. Will you two calm down?” I glare at both of them.

“Keep your dick inside your pants, man.” Pat scowls and looks outside the window.

“That’s not nice, Patrick Brandt, and I can sleep with anyone I want. I don’t need your permission, brother,” Trix banters back.

“Whatever,” Pat says dismissively.

Mason looks at Trixie through the rearview mirror, and then I see Trix smiles while looking at the window. Hmm, the plot just thickens.

We arrive at my husband’s mansion, and everyone is already there.

I rush to his office immediately. “I need a password. What are the possible combinations? I don’t know his birthday?”

“You don’t know your husband’s birthday?” Pat asks but more like a yell. Yeah, why I didn’t know his birthday?

“Nope. Now think of a password. When is his birthday?” I ask back.

“July 13th, Abby baby. Mine is on July 10. I’m three days older than Seb.”

I press in 0713. Wrong. I feel hopeless.

“Try 1119,” Trix tells me.

“1119?”I ask.

She rolls her eyes “It’s your name, Silly.”

“Oh, okay.” Then I press, it opens.

I laugh out loud. “Thanks.”

“You’re welcome.” I Flip the light open, and Seb is not here.

Please, Sebastian, be here. I mentally pray.

“He’s not here, Abbygail.” Patrick sounds irritated and hopeless.

“I know he’s not here in his office,” I tell him calmly.

“Then what’re we doing here if he’s not here.” He glares at me, and I glare back.

“Do you think I don’t want to find my husband? I can’t even stomach my guilt right now, Patty, and I might be the reason why he’s missing.” I walk to Seb’s desk and run my hand underneath.

“Bingo.”

They just give me a blank look. After pressing the button, I hear the click sound. The door of liquor cabinet unlocks. I pull the door open and press the shelves—it swings open.

“Whoa!” they chorus.

I want to jump up and down, but not yet.

“Motherfucker! He has a secret place, huh. And his best friend doesn’t even know about” Patrick shakes his head and looks amused.

“Let’s find my husband, shall we?” I get inside and flip another light-it starts to illuminate through the spiral stairways. My heart beats fast in my chest.

Please, Sebastian, be here.

I lick my dry lips and take a huge breath.

“This is the only place I know where to find him. If he’s not here, I don’t have another in my mind.” I face the twin, and they both nod.

I slowly follow my step down the stairways to avoid missing a step. The light in the cellar is open. My hope rises, and my heart flutters more.

I look around until I find him. His body is resting on the table, his arm under his head.

My smile grows wider.

“Sonofabitch!” Pat spits behind me. I walk towards my sleeping husband, and he must be too drunk and sleep here. I notice a wine bottle and a used wine glass.

“Babe, wake up.” I nudge his shoulder, and he sill sleeping soundly. I move forward to face him.

“We’ll go up and tell them he’s here. I guess both of you need some time to talk, okay?” Pat says and kisses me on my cheek. “Thank you.”

“Thanks.” I sit beside Sebastian and swipe some hair away from his face. I kiss his forehead and on his cheek.

He stirs and mumbles something.

“Babe, it’s me, Abby. Wake up, babe. I’m here now.” I swallow as I try controlling my emotions. I’m just so relieved he’s okay. Everyone is worried about him, and I thought I lost him.

“Babe, come on, wake up, please? Everyone is worried about you.” I close my face to his and kiss him on his lips.

God, I missed him. I missed him so much. I rest my head on his shoulder and whisper in his ear.

“I miss you so much, Sebastian. I love you, and I will never let you go again. You’re stuck with me for the rest of our lives. No more running away or staying away. And no more three-year condition.”

He freezes. “Abbygail? Baby, is that you?” he whispers with his husky voice, but doesn’t move.

I raise my head. “It’s me, Sebastian.”

He sits up straight, blinks, and looks surprised. He rubs his eyes with the back of his finger, then he cups my face.

“Do I look real to you now?” I smile at him.

A smile spread on his lips. “Baby? My Abby? You’re real, right?” He looks directly into my eyes, down to my face to my lips. He traces my face with his thumb.

I roll my eyes. “Allow me to prove it to you that I’m real.” I kiss his lips like my life depends on it, and he signs before he kisses me back, and every cell in my body comes to life.

I miss his taste, his touch, his smell, and everything about Sebastian. Now he’s in my arms again, I will never let him go. He slips his tongue into my mouth, and I squeeze my inner thighs that have been aching for days. I moan to our kiss, and he groans. We break the kiss and stares at each other.

“We should go up. You made everyone worried. How long have you been here?”

“I don’t know, baby. I can’t remember. Wait, who’s everyone?” He creases his brow.

I chuckle. “They informed your security team to search for you because your car was found in the clearing four miles away from here. They even searched for this house, and they can’t find you anywhere. I thought I lost you, Sebastian.” I realize I haven’t apologized for my stubbornness. “I’m so sorry for—”

He presses his lips on me again, and I can’t help to kiss him back. “No more sorry, baby. We both made drastic decisions. And I should be the one apologizing, and I let you worry about me. Did you really come all the way here for me?”

“No. I came here to search for my ass.” I roll my eyes.

He chuckles. “God, Baby, I miss you like crazy. I don’t know what I’d been doing for days without you. I can’t remember most of it. I’m drunk and talking nonsense. I—” He grins.

“And you drunk your ass off and drove to that place. Don’t ever do that again, Sebastian. Thank God, you didn’t get into an accident or swallowed whole by a bear.”

He presses his finger on my lips to stop me. “Okay, I’m sorry. I was just broken and devastated. You want to divorce me. I love you so much, and I can’t just let you do that, and I can’t think of anything but you. I can’t see straight. I can’t think straight. I’d rather die than not being with you, Abbygail. I’m already crazy without you these three days.” He sighs.

“Four days,.I’m crazy about you too. I can’t imagine how I even survived to watch you leave me that day. It broke my heart, then when I found out that you’re missing, it’s worst than watching you go away. I love you. I promise I will never do that again. I’ll be with you for as long as you want me.”

His grin even spreads wider. “Really?”

I nod. “It’s hard to live a life without you. I’ll make it up to you for the lost days, promise.”

“Tell me, how are you gonna do that, Abbygail?” He wiggles his brows.

“Do I have to tell you? Or I’ll show you instead?” With a devilish grin on my face.

“You little minx.” He gives me a peck on my lips.

“I’ll give you four orgasms for four days.”

“It’s more than four orgasms for you, Abby.”

“Christ, can you two talk about orgasms later. That’s disgusting.” Pat peeks his head from the spiral stairs.

“Then stop eavesdropping,” Seb says without even bothering looking at Pat. We both rise from the bench and head upstairs.

“Don’t you have a hangover?”

“I’m good now, Abby.” He touches my back and gives me another hug.

“I’ll kick them all out soon. I can’t wait no more.”

I giggle. “Me too, bad boy.”
