Inside A Tree
Inside a tree. A forest.
"Woah."
Was only the thing Prium could say. She seemed to had allowed her ego to be crushed by the odds. Her indifferent side had been smothered by the view before her. The waves of the change were too ferocious for her pride to withstand. It didn't stand a chance of survival.
Both Prium and Vulcan were standing by the door of the room, backing it. Ayla had taken few steps forward and was already in the heart of the room.
"Is this really inside a tree?"
Prium made a question of her awe. She obviously couldn't help being quiet anymore. She wasn't sure to whom she had directed the question.
"I guess only a Nymph holds an answer to that."
Vulcan seemed to find his words at last. Though he hoped that that new environment would make a friend of both his daughter and Ayla.
"Not bad a place, eh?"
Ayla turned to the both of them. And Vulcan scoffed. How could she had said that?
How could a room lit with golden rays, marbled floor, transparent walls, and oval and moving ceiling be a bad place?
He was sure that no king, of which he knew had ever lived in such luxury.
On specific parts of the walls were arts and paintings etched. Majority of them were of naked ladies. Probably Nymphs and goddesses. At least, twas quite a means of distraction and somewhat, entertainment.
There was a bed to the corner of the room to the North. Before the bed towards the door were chairs. A two seater and another single seater. It seemed exactly like the room was made only and specially for them.
"Make yourself at home."
Alya called again and collapsed into the bed. A side of her turned in their direction.
Vulcan was the first to move forward. He allowed himself to wander off the trail of thoughts he had been tracking. He retired into the single seater. The foam of the chair soothed his hard butt. That was quite a rare feeling.
Prium still stood at the door. She kinda seemed to be finding it quite hard to believe if that was really true or just some trance, fantasy or some other things.
"Maybe dad, I'm now an escort in the wonderland."
Prium admitted to him. He smiled at her and nodded towards the chair opposite the one in which he was comfortably seated.
"You ain't an usher, are you?"
More of an order from him than a complaint. She reluctantly left where she was and walked to the chair. Her eyes running around the place in crazed velocity.
"You probably don't trust me, Prium."
That was Ayla. She disappeared from the bed to the two seater even before Prium could sit. Prium freaked out and shot,
"You don't do that. At least, make me have a knowledge of what you can do before flexing."
Ayla smiled instead and looked towards Vulcan who only shook his head. Twas hard to judge what he meant by that expression.
"So, now we have a home."
Vulcan swept the atmosphere. Prium sat and supplanted her gaze on her father.
"Not really a home. Just a place to stay."
Prium corrected. Vulcan kinda felt confused why she behaved so oddly. When they arrived the room, she had acted so surprised and enthralled, but then she was being the beast.
"Whatever you make of it is what it makes of you. Nature is quite sensitive, reflective and confined to some sequence of action."
Ayla explained. The look on Prium's face said it all. The, who-asked-her-to kinda glare.
Vulcan was tempted to give up on making the two go along. Plus he couldn't possibly push his daughter away from him. He owed her. Neither could he send the Nymph away. She had everything they needed to survive.
He was caught between long and dirty claws of choice. He had to cut them, slid his way through, or suffer pores. He wasn't sure which would be his fate.
Ayla stood up immediately and began to walk to a cupboard by the bed to the right. Twas hard to judge what was by the left of the bed. The golden rays couldn't traverse that corner, hence, twas plunged into a silhouette of gloom.
"While we stay, I'd love to bring to your notice few things."
Ayla stopped before the cupboard and stooped.
"There we go."
Prium muttered. Ayla did a sharp turn at her. A note of being aware of the mutter. Prium owned up to it. Vulcan kept up with the pace of the drama.
"There are more than enough food in the cupboard to serve us for as long as possible. Even if we stay here for millennials. All you just have to do is think of what to eat then open the cupboard."
Vulcan looked towards Prium to pick her expression. She didn't seem intrigued or moved. In the good way, you might say.
"The second thing, we can make as many rooms as possible from this room. Such rooms which would be of same size and qualities as the present."
She paused and stood up. In her hand was a roasted thigh of a deer. A venison. She took a bite and walked to the bed instead. She sat.
"Lastly, there would be updates and advances in the room which would be done by nature itself. By the room itself. And when I say advances, I mean, the golden rays might change anytime to any othe color. The arrangements of the room also would change by time automatically. And several other natural qualities would be seen. Don't be surprised when you wake up and see a swimming pool few metres from your room. In short, this room could grow into a community."
Vulcan didn't know what to think. Prium sat their smothered. Twas as though she had just listened to a fairy tale. Probably somethings which were only meant to be in the scrolls.
"Is that all?"
Prium was forced to ask.
"Like you're expecting a don't do or taboo? "
Ayla teased and she could see the approval in Prium's face. She continued,
"Sorry to disappoint, there's nothing as such here."
Ayla was tempted to continue but tamed her beast. She smiled instead and went on her back into the bed. Her eyes feasting on the now rolling ceiling.
"How about a toilet?"
Prium wouldn't give up. She kinda was bent on finding a fault in the Nymph's invention.
"Just think of it Prium and quit being a bitch!"
She shot without looking up. She didn't care whichever way Prium took it.
And how about Vulcan? He's kinda a puppet.
