Vengeance Unfolds 3
On a path.
"If you don't mind telling me, is the king having an affair with his daughter?"
The young sister asked, her face keen on the guard who was on the other side of the carriage beside her at the front. They were two more guards at the back. While the King and the elder sister were in the carriage with one guard.
The guard who had been asked the question was the same one who had been nice to them in the palace. The same one she had been rude and somewhat sassy to.
There was every possibility that he would pick on her and seek a revenge but she was still waiting. His response should say it all. Or better still, his reaction.
"And why should I reply or give you and answer?"
He shot her a glare and looked back at the gaunt but throdden path. They were walking through a forest. The forest at the outskirt of the village. And the trees were growing taller and the shrubs, thicker.
"It's your choice man."
She shot back. He smiled and scorned,
"You've got that attitude. Isn't it?"
She scowled at him and rolled her eyes. He chuckled and snorted. That irritated her.
"I'm sure you're a pain in the ass to your sister."
He dared. She looked towards him, weighing him from the head to his toes with her rude gaze. He found her amusing. He liked her. But she seemed rather tough and he might not get to meet her ever again.
"As you are to me at the moment."
She shot. Then he sighed and asked,
"But would you give a price for this knowledge?"
She shot him the curious gaze, probably trying to read his intentions through his face, if that was in any way possible.
"What do you want?"
He chuckled and looked forward. Then he looked back at her and bit his lips,
"A kiss, maybe."
She shook her head and scoffed. She looked away towards the West, the sun was indecisive and its splattered were not getting the best of the day.
She ignored the distraction and looked back at him. She looked straight down at his lips which were covered half through by the helmet he had on.
"Remove that shit."
She ordered. He was so jumpy that he quit looking at the front. He removed the helmet immediately and doubted,
"Seriously?"
He asked looking at her. But she just grabbed his face and tilted her body. She pulled his face closer to hers and wounded his lips with hers, dragging in a long warmth of his breath.
He didn't want it to stop, he held unto her face and left the horse which was pulling the carriage. He sucked her mouth as though he had been wanting to all his life. Like twas his last opportunity.
Then the horse bumped into an obstacle and it tumbled, the house of the carriage rolled over and bounced off the long two iron which supported it; the carriage was built such that, the house, built with oak, was in the middle while there were two long rods reaching from its front to the back. At each end was an open seat for the warriors.
As if that was not enough, suddenly, there came a noise from inside the carriage. The warrior who was just standing up from the fall hurried towards the the carriage to see what was wrong.
But then the young sister, hurried past him and got to the carriage before him. She stood in the way of the other two warriors who were meaning to enter into the carriage.
"What are you doing?"
The warrior who had been with her questioned, not sure of what to think. Of course he was confused.
The lady didn't say a thing till the two warriors advanced to knock her out. But she was swift and ducked two swinging of the swords and grabbed the sword of one of the two.
She swung it and had the head of the first warrior chopped off, then ran the sword through the chest of the other warrior.
The guard who had been with him only stood there trying to understand what was happening. But then he stood a fighting position and gave the lady a game of her life.
As the two kept fighting, swinging their swords, the door to the carriage opened and stepped out was the king who was at the mercy of the elder sister.
The elder sister had her sword drawn and placed on his throat, his back pressed to her chest, his face forward. A medium of caution of course.
"Kill her and get rid of this retard too."
The king called at the guard determinedly fighting the young sister. But then, the elder sister called,
"End this."
The young sister looked towards her and looked back at the guard. She swung her sword in sequence, made a body movement then swept the guard off his feet. Her sword drawn, the edge pointing at the dancing throat of the guard.
She looked towards her elder sister and sighed. Then looked back at the guard on the floor.
"Run as far as you can and do not return to the palace."
She warned and withdrew her sword. The guard scrambled to his feet and ran away as though he was being hunted by a panther.
The elder sister shook her head in surprise but dumped the thought. She said instead,
"It's time."
Twas an order to the young sister. The king gibbered,
"I'll give you whatever you want. You don't want to kill me. It'll be foolish of you knowing what you've had missed if I were alive."
His old face squeezing, emphasizing his fear and want. The young lady dropped her sword at that and looked directly into the eyes of the elder sister who began to speak in ancient tongue.
Then suddenly, a strange wind blew and the both of them were transformed. The young sister transformed into Prium, while the elder sister into Ayla.
"The gods be damned."
The king cussed as soon as he saw what had just happened.
Prium bent and picked up the sword again.
"Well well, Jumho. I could say that about you."
She began to walk towards him as he shuddered in fear.
"Is it true?"
He stuttered, not sure of what question to ask.
"As true as what is about to happen to you."
She got to him and ran her sword through his stomach then drew it out.
"You get what you deserved. But tell me, what good did it do you to watch my father die? For no damn reason!"
She walked over him, his unconscious body between her legs. She put the edge of the sword to his throat and drove it through.
"Give the answer to Zeus. If at all you meet him."
She sighed as he watched him gag to death then walked off his body. Then she heard Ayla say,
"What was that with the guard?"
She raised her head and looked at Ayla. She dropped her sword and walked to her, matching up her face,
"I do not owe you an explanation. You know your place. Remain there!"
Ayla scoffed and walked away in the direction which led towards the village. The village which probably would had heard of their recent deeds?
"And where do you think you're going?"
She called at Ayla. The latter didn't stop, she said over her head instead,
"To act as the king for the meantime."
Prium hurried towards her in rage,
"Are you kidding me?"
Ayla stopped and turned to face her,
"Or would you go. I'll give you all the resources."
Her face indifferent, wearing out Prium's pride maybe. Prium sighed and thought of Ayla and her father being alone for few days. Nah! She couldn't stand the thought.
"Go to your own detriment. But how am I supposed to enter into the tree again."
Ayla scoffed and said,
"Ain't you the mistress? Ah."
She turned and began to walk away. Prium called, rage stalking her tone,
"You're not walking out on your mistress, are you?"
Ayla halted abruptly and turned to Prium,
"Of course I'm not."
Then she disappeared. Prium stood there chanting,
"Are you kidding me? Come back here now?"
She wasn't sure who the order was meant for. Probably the trees or the dancing Jay on the neighboring tree.
