Be Gone, Creep!
Under a tree. A forest.
"For how long will we sit here?"
Tahni asked the barely clothed Aynea who was picking some crushed twigs in the earth. She didn't know why the lady was quite creepy and spent her time doing dirty and pretty crazy things. Things you can't possibly explain its reason of being.
The stooping Aynea looked up at her, her back to the stretch of shrubs and woods. Then she said, her dusky face fawning her words,
"Aynea be sit here all day. If you be want, you be sit with Aynea."
Aynea had that naughty and childish face that Tahni found appealing which was one of the reasons she hadn't decided to let the wierd dryad be all by herself.
"Aynea!"
Tahni called immediately, distracted from her precious thoughts. She was jumpy, wishing she could break into the bark of the tree and enter through.
"Be scared for Aynea?"
Aynea said without looking at her back, unaware of the black panther behind her.
"Aynea!"
Tahni called again in scream wishing she could save the dryad but then, Aynea spun around and was out of Tahni's sight immediately. Tahni gasped. Not in surprise or shock anymore but in terror.
She was all alone with the snarling black panther. The prey of the panther had switched from Aynea who had just disappeared, to the helpless Tahni, who wished that she could enter through the tree like the lady who Aynea stabbed the previous day.
"Aynea, help me!!!"
Her voice was beginning to break into syllabic confetti plagued by the terror and fear. She was squatting both physically and in fear. She wished she had some magical prowess too.
The panther was moving closer to her, snarling. Its yellow eyes flaming the husky face. The whiskers heaving light dances to the rhythms of the snorts and flexing of the jaws.
Then suddenly, even before she could close her eyes to savor the wiles of the pain and rage and terror and fear, she felt the strong whooshing of the winds and then she heard the panther growl loudly and in strong displeasure.
As she looked keener, she saw Aynea on the back of the panther. The panther struggled really hard to throw her off its back, but it seemed like Aynea was but an elastic solution and only dangled to the sway.
The panther went on and on for long but no change. It began to run towards the wild then, while Tahni stood up and did the usual,
"Aynea!"
But both the panther and the rider were off from sight. Twas hard to judge or tell whether or not Aynea was really responsible for that scene. Like she had thought it out herself and made it happen. Well, if a dryad had such quality.
Then again, the two came back running down the path. That time the panther was hopping and swinging and swaying and shaking and twirling, and spinning, just to hurl the dryad off its back.
But that wasn't all, the panther at that moment, was headed towards were Tahni was. Towards the tree on which Tahni was leaning.
"What are you doing, Aynea?"
Tahni muttered to herself not sure if that was wise. But that didn't stop the panther from drawing nearer and nearer.
Tahni knew that she ought to leave that spot at that moment. She ought to avoid the attack or collision but she didn't. Probably because she was damn scared outta her wit. Probably because she couldn't use her brain to her own benefit at that moment.
But bless fate for her, the panther crashed right before her on its front limbs. The pressure of the speed and the force of its stop bothered the eerie earth so much that, lone and gaunt holes were dug.
The force also tilted the panther upwardly that its last two limbs were raised up and it seemed like both the panther and Aynea would tumble. But that was just another sham. Another sham that fiddled with the levels of Tahni's emotions. From shock to disappointment. Tahni swore to herself at that moment that she would never be scared by such annoyingly and well thought pranks. Because technically that was what that was.
"This is so barbaric, Aynea. You have a part of a human in you, stop acting like an animal."
Tahni let her rage off. She didn't want to put up with the nuances of the Dryad anymore. That was the same thing she did few days ago, making her collapse under the weight of a super expensive prank.
Imagine waking up to see a snake wounded around your whole body, up to your neck. And its venomous and threatening face hovering over yours. Sticky tongue tracing light dances across your face. Only for it to melt into a rope after you've screamed the fuck out of your ass.
"Aynea be play."
Aynea said finally, climbing off the panther as the panther scrambled off.
"That's the fucking thing you keep saying. These plays are too expensive for me. Don't you get it!"
Aynea kept moving towards her, that childish stare and cute smile tugging at the side of her gullible lips,
"Aynea be friends with you. Aynea be show friends magic. Aynea be teach friends not be fear. Aynea be do more."
"Enough!!! Mrs bee."
Tahni snapped immediately. She didn't seem to be ready to be appeased. She seemed to had been enraged beyond merits and wouldn't be talked into being sane for that moment.
"Keep your pace there. Don't come any closer."
She shot, her face smothered by anger and resentment. Aynea halted, just few steps away. Tahni's back was till pressed to the tree.
She scoffed then continued,
"I was the one who had been stupid to had believed your animal sense. Thinking you would bring me to my father and sister. First you fooled me and took me to a fucking sorcerer who had sex with me instead. Well, his dick was worth it but what that wasn't enough."
She paused and continued, Aynea still had the peaceful face and childish stare,
"As if that was not enough. You said you knew a Nymph who stole your house and is living in it with my family. It's been two days since you stabbed her and since we've been waiting, yet nothing to show for."
Finally she walked off the tree and hurled,
"Go fuck yourself creep and let's never meet. Ever!"
She spat on the earth and stomped off, while Aynea stood there watching her go. At last she heard Aynea call,
"Aynea still be friends."
She hmphed and gritted her teeth in irritation. She muttered to herself as she kept on walking,
"Creep!"
