Waves of Rebellion
In the woods.
"Hey pretty."
Prium heard a group of men calling at her. When she left the palace and was walking towards the forest, she had noticed that the men were coming behind her but she had thought that they were only going of their own wills but now that they had called at her.
She didn't want to stop and she didn't. She didn't even look back. She hastened her pace instead. There was only one thing she could think of, giving by the account of what Tahni and Ayla told father the previous day. Rape. Molestation or more like it.
"We won't harm you, stop."
One of the men called again. Prium's legs were trembling as she walked on. But at the call on the last man, she stopped walking. But before turning to face them, she fixed her face,
"Who told you that I'm scared of you all? Even if you plan on hurting me, it would only end as a wish."
She feigned, turning to them. Her face now long and her legs occasionally doing the wierd dances. But she was well-schooled and could hide her fear under the rude expression.
The group of five men hastened towards her and got to her. The one who seemed to be their leader was thick and firm, his face covered in beards, splattered wrinkles all over his face. He seemed older than the rest.
"That's quite daring of you and we would had loved to test that will and Indifference out to prove your sternness but that isn't really what we've called you for. I believe we share a similar interest and would love us to work together to foster the growth."
Prium looked from one man to the other. She was trying to catch their reactions but she wasn't sure yet. She folded her arms, pressing them on the base of her bosom.
"What can I really share with people like you? I do not even know you and I'm certain that vice versa. So, what are you speaking or is this your own way or conning a lady to lay with her."
The leader chuckled,
"Why do you keep speaking about sex. None of us have that impression towards. We are all married."
"She isn't even busty. What will I suck?"
One of the men behind the leader called and the rest laughed. Prium was really vexed at the thought that she was being mocked. She spewed,
"You lot are not ready to speak."
She turned her back and began to walk away.
"Let her go. We'll find another."
The same guy urged the leader but the leader shunned him,
"The best tool is a family."
The leader had whispered then he called at Prium,
"It's about Athena."
Prium stopped at that. She turned and began to walk towards them,
"Tell him to apologize if you would talk to me."
She pointed at the fellow who had been picking on her.
The leader turned to the fellow and whispered indistinctly. The fellow hesitated firstly but then he stepped forward and muttered,
"I apologize."
He stepped back without waiting for her response. She smiled, standing before the five as though she was the ruler.
Her keen cum rude eyes were on the leader when she found her words,
"You mean your queen? What do you have to say about her because I loathe her greatly and would kill her at all cost."
She wouldn't let the man speak as she continued,
"Wait. Don't tell me that she hired you to talk me into coming to her and do her biddings."
The leader of the group sighed,
"You know I said we share something in common but you made a mistake of not asking what that is. And in your speech you've spelt it out."
Her face tuned at the man's words. You could tell that she was trying to make a meaning of it,
"If I get it right, you mean to say that you all dislike -- no, hate Athena too?"
The ruler nodded his head. Prium probed further,
"And this one too?"
She pointed at the guy who had been picking on her. The ruler nodded in affirmation, in his mouth,
"He is as useful as you are, lady. Believe me, if twerent for him, we wouldn't have been bold enough to make this move."
"Then, I'm out."
Prium threatened. When she saw that none of them called her back, she returned to them and said,
"I'll be mature enough to overlook his faults. What do you need from me, I don't think y'all lots can put up with me."
The leader stepped forward to her and touched her shoulder, though she almost made an attempt to hit him.
"Come with us first. We'll find you a house and conceal you from the eyes of the public, if you don't mind. But first tell me what you think of the lady 'Athena'".
She followed them and walked in the front with the leader while the rest walked behind them. She occasionally looked back at that fellow then rolled her eyes. She sure was problematic.
"That bitch is an imposter. She's nothing close to the Daughter of Zeus and I was so surprised that my father was fooled by her. He doesn't really think anymore though, since he lost his memory. To think of that pisses the hell out of me. How annoying."
The leader nodded his head taking a glance at her. He looked away as they headed out of the forest. He asked,
"Who do you think she is?"
"Isn't it obvious? She's a witch and had enchanted everyone with her magic. She even changed the look of my father to complicate things. But I don't know why people are so blind and foolish not see that the witch had already made her intentions known only by changing my father's form. Who knows, she probably even incited the warriors of Aiowa against us and then chose to come when the land was almost destroyed to give a vain show and proper charade."
The leader looked thoughtfully at her and muttered,
"Never thought of it that way. But about your father, is that really Vulcan, the man who was beheaded? I've been meaning to --"
"Choose your question wisely. Catch up with me."
She snapped and increased her pace leaving all the men behind.
"I'll be the one to kill her."
That same guy promised, glaring at the going Prium. The leader, whom he had addressed turned to him,
"When you have a lion, you don't beat it because it bite you. It has been created with such instinct."
He turned to the front and hurried up to catch up with Prium.
"She's no lion but an armadillo."
The same guy called at the leader who didn't look back.
