The New Master
In the woods.
~Vulcan~
"Athena!"
He was riding with haste and passion. The horse whinnying through the path, such haste which could make it tumble.
"Athena!"
He called again, urging the horse to the rhythm of his heart. He had been told by the palace groom that whoever wants to connect with his horse must marched his heartbeat to the horse's. And that was what he had been doing.
"Athena!!!"
His tempo laden and sodden this time. The horse snorting at intervals, its eyes dimming, unknown to its rider.
Suddenly, the horse slackened its pace but the force of the haste was too quick to be halted all of a sudden. The horse bumped into something which threw both Vulcan and his horse back and made both crash into the length of the path.
"Arggh."
He groaned, trying to fight his legs on the earth. As soon as he stood up, he helped his horse too and pat it,
"Let's see what happened."
He muttered and tried to pull the horse with himself but the horse grunted and neighed in displeasure.
"Why so scared?"
He argued and pat it by the side again then walked towards the supposed place.
"I think this is the place."
He mumbled, as he drew nearer, not sure of where precisely. And as he got to a point in the open path, he was knocked back again.
"What was it?"
He argued and stood up again. But this time, as he walked closer, he was conscious of his every step, not to shoot himself in the leg.
He used both his hands as the aid to know where the force was issuing from. And finally, his left hand which was choked by haste touched the current firstly and he shuddered.
Then the next time, he used the tip of his finger and got in contact with the fusion. And suddenly, there was like a wave of electrical currents making a barrier before him.
"What's this?"
He argued.
"Athena."
He seemed to had finally convinced himself. Point in time, he heard the tolling of bell from beyond the electrical border. And hurrying footsteps towards him.
"Athena?"
The intonation had fallen to rise which left it as nothing but a question. And his guess seemed to be right.
There was the Kin-Lin running towards Vulcan and Athena behind it. For a moment, even though Vulcan knew that there was an electrical barrier and border holding the two back, he was scared to his soles.
The race towards the border continued as the Kin-Lin charged even closer and closer to the border. And boom! Its single horn coupled with a blue flame of fire from its heavy mouth hit against the electrical border and Vulcan fell on his face instantly. His horse whinnied off.
It suddenly seemed to him as though something just jumped over him. Like a silhouette, and then the howling of the wind swept past him.
"Hide!"
He heard the familiar voice and raised his head eventually. As he looked, he saw Athena running after the creature past him.
He stood on his feet and firstly walked to where the barrier was, there was no electricity coursing from it anymore.
Then as he turned his back, he saw the creature hurrying towards him again. He ran as quickly as he could off the path and sheltered behind a large tree.
"What are you doing Athena?"
He called at her as she ran past the tree behind which he was hiding. Athena said over her head,
"I need to climb on him. If I do, he will be bound to me."
"Climb on him?"
He argued and suddenly, the creature stopped running. It turned quickly and pushed its front hoof back like a bull would do. Spraying the dam earth.
It faced the direction of Vulcan's voice and charged towards the tree with its horn poised like a rhino's when at the prime of rage.
"Run, Vulcan!"
She called as she hurried to the creature, which spun sideways and tossed its head towards Vulcan's direction. But he was swift to had left there and the creature's horn sunk in the stem of the tree.
"Thought you said he hunts the evil."
Vulcan yelled, panting like a hunting wolf. Athena charged at the creature, meaning to hop on it before it could remove its horn from the tree, but as she got to the creature, it pushed the two back hoofs up and kicked Athena in the stomach. She went flying into the air and made a thud.
Vulcan hurried to her as soon as the creature hurried away.
"We're in its way. And potentially, we are now evil."
She explained, jumping on her feet as though nothing had happened. Even before Vulcan could lend a helping hand.
"Fair enough."
He mumbled as she began to ran away from him towards the direction the creature had disappeared into.
"Where are you going?"
He called.
"To do what has to be done. Kin-Lin has had enough of the show."
She replied without looking back, and zoom! She was out of sight. So quickly and smoothly, as though she could speak the language of the winds.
"Where did she go just now? I wished I could be that swift."
He began to run in that direction too. And he hadn't ran for more than two minutes when he heard the tolling of the bell from behind him.
As he turned, he saw Athena riding the Kin-Lin towards him. His jaws dropped.
"How'd you do that?"
He traced the creature's head up to Athena's face.
"My husband seems to had forgotten so soon that his queen is a goddess."
He shook his head,
"Not that. I just would had loved seeing it happen. Too bad I only saw you get kicked."
She smiled.
"Come."
She moved back on the Kin-Lin and pat her front.
"Can you control him now?"
She looked away from him to the creature,
"Go on your front knees to your king."
And at that, the creature bowed, going on its knees with the front two limbs. He was more than impressed.
"Woah."
He let the moment seep in.
"You can control him."
She added.
Then he walked to her after the creature had stand up tall. He climbed on it and she pressed her boobs to his back, wrapping both her arms around him.
"Go now."
She nudged and the Kin-Lin hurried towards the path which led out of the forest towards the village.
"Now tell me how you broke off my charm or I would tell him to gore you."
She threatened. He turned slightly, looking back at her and kissed her lips as the creature galloped through the path.
"I was going to ask you, because even I can't understand let alone explain"
He looked to the front and she pressed her chin on his right shoulder, nibbling his neck with her soft ear.
"I should had told you. As much sex we share, the more of my power you're able to access and counter."
She muttered.
"But you aren't supposed to tell me that. It's like your weakness."
She chuckled, warm breath tickling the path of his neck,
"Yes it is. But so far, you've been my strength, my love."
She kissed his neck, tickling it with her tongue.
"We'll fall off..."
He teased.
"And you think we'll fall down if at all he throws us off?"
There was courage glazed with certainty in her voice.
"Pretend I didn't say that."
He dismissed as the Kin-Lin kept the pace up.
