New Full Moon.
The D-Day.
~Pallas and Zeus~
"Whoosh!"
The gentle rhythm of the muttering branches of school of trees in the forest swept dirt with them towards the Colosseum in complement of the whipping winds on which Pallas and Zeus rode.
Thick fog of clouds was writhing in tampered pace across the lawn of darkened sky, lit by the swelling ball of moon, taking its full form as the ravenous rage of the ravens built in creepy melody, and crows sent shrills down the spines of wandering reptiles.
A wave of thick darkness paced the lips of the forest, bordering the path which led to the Colosseum, and travelled in crazed velocity as bade by the sways of the father of all gods. Until both his soles and his daughters' consoled the eerie earth.
"She knows we are here."
Zeus turned to his daughter. His young, comely and mysteriously lit face betrayed the thick, porous and aged voice. He could take whichever form he deemed fit.
She looked at the large gate of the Colosseum. They were directly outside it. She turned back to her father,
"It would be rather annoying and unworthy of it all, if she doesn't. Stealing my form alone was a long way to go. Let alone keeping it for this long."
He pushed a smile at the side of his lips and muttered,
"But she's not alone. We have company."
He walked away from her towards the gate as she tried to catch up, arguing,
"There were a lot of magical creatures we hunted. I'm sure they are all here. She sure is ready for the great battle. And what time is great for such fray than now, when the deadliest of the cats, makes the shadows of a tiny hickory his shade."
Zeus had gotten to the gate, his right palm pressed to the gate. He nudged her with his head and she took suit. He added,
"That isn't my argument."
And at that, they both vanished, melting into the gate and out. They reappeared in the arena.
"Quite a view."
Athena sighed as she looked to her front. Up ahead to the front were the archetype and Vulcan. Behind the two were a Kin-Lin, Lamassu, Griphon and Kyeryong. All tools of the archetype.
And standing in front of the king and queen were a group of people, with a few metres intervals between the both group.
Tension was swelling between the both party as Pallas and Zeus stood afar off leaching off the malady around which the moment was wounded.
Zeus considered the view from distance, twas very clear to him. Looking from distance to him wasn't a mill around his neck. An event several kilometers away from him was like the closest he had seen. His sense of vision was wild and conspicuous. Why wonder? Do you think he's called the father of all the gods for the title?
He could see the lips of the archetype moving slowly to the dark spells of her heart. He knew too well that in no time, if he didn't step in, the creatures would go rogue and only few of the contenders would survive.
He looked quickly away from her to the group without catching a sight of Vulcan. Probably twasn't so important to him.
His eyes widened at the sight and he resumed walking,
"You have so many sights to catch up on."
"Other than the surrogate?"
Pallas quizzed as he stopped suddenly. She got to him, heating up the side of his face with a quick glance.
He held her hand without warning and looked to his front suddenly. He began to walk in the air with her and in no time, they got to the middle of the spot.
Zeus and Pallas took a position where they could hold both parties in their gazes without having to turn ridiculously.
Pallas looked to her left and saw Vulcan next to the archetype. She was moved to go to him. To hug him and kiss him passionately. She had missed the warmth of his lips and body. She had missed the grip of his back, her fingers digging into the curve of his back.
"Seen the wonder yet?"
Zeus knocked her out of the thoughts. She looked away quickly to her right and saw someone that looks exactly like her amidst the group.
"Prium."
She muttered, shaking her head softly. She knew too well. She couldn't look through the remaining group when Vulcan raised his voice,
"Be gone from here and do not bring a wrath upon yourself. We have no business with you and your surrogate... we will destroy the other group, but that won't happen if you're in the way. Make your choice wisely."
But the surrogate tapped him in the side and whispered to him,
"Do you have a death wish? That's Zeus!"
And then Zeus stretched his arms and raised them in suit, and suddenly there coursed a great wave of current like a whooshing wind from his body and swept across the whole place. And forcefully, all the people present, including Prium's group went on their knees.
Twasn't something neither of them could fight. Twas as if they were all under a spell. A spell they could never fight back or break out of.
"Ayla, tell me."
As he called her name, Ayla was back to her form. Zeus now was cladded in a purple robe, with laces of gold at the tip of the openings. His face old with comely wrinkles, his eyes blue, drooping white beards with rings at their bases.
Vulcan gasped at the view,
"Ayla?"
The spell had washed off his face. But his confusion wasn't anything close to what he would get rid of anytime soon, as he looked to the front and saw Athena, then away from her up ahead and saw another which looked exactly like Athena.
"It's hard to judge what you've always wanted before now." Zeus continued, everyone still on his/her knees.
"The love of your mistress or an excuse for betrayal. But what shall I say, that already hasn't been said."
He sighed,
"I won't make a mess of your freedom. I'm a generous god. But you shall be locked away in gloom for several decades, until you've been purged of all the evil forces bargaining with the good forces I leased you."
And as he finished talking, a dark hole appeared in the earth and gobbled her up. It closed immediately as though nothing happened.
Vulcan flinched and crawled to the front. Zeus called at the creatures,
"What are you doing standing there? Go keep your mistress company."
And the earth opened beneath them again. It gobbled them up.
He looked to Prium's group,
"Where is you son?"
He asked the princess. She stuttered,
"In the fairy land."
"Keep him alive. Away from the watch of evil eyes. I shall appoint to him, a hellhound who save serve his functions until he's strong and old enough to rule this land. For that is his destiny."
Vulcan was quick to argue,
"But isn't my --"
Aynea cut in,
"How dare you interrupt the father of all gods?"
Vulcan glared at her. But before he could look back at Zeus, the latter had continued,
"Son-in-law, I know what you've ever wanted to be all your life and that is what you would be. A Doctore. Groomer of gladiators. And you shall not be renowned only here, but all over the worlds. For even gods shall descend to fight in your Colosseum."
Vulcan couldn't had been happier. Zeus turned to his daughter,
"And you shall choose whether to stay by your lover or return to your stead."
"I'll come and go, father."
Pallas promised. Zeus looked away from her and pointed at Prium,
"Have you cut out the odds with your sister-in-law, Prium, yet?"
And at the call of the name, Prium, Prium took her real form, shedding off the Athena's form she was wearing. And then popped up the pregnancy.
"She wouldn't have an excuse to fight me over her father anymore."
Pallas looked down at Prium's stomach.
"Farewell then!"
Zeus's thunderous voice came as he started to float in the air, his cloth set on blue flames as they all heard a loud screech in the clouds hurrying towards them.
"I live blessings with the rest of you. Give me no reason to be back on earth. And learn! Peace has its own trick. War is a charade!"
After those words of his, there appeared a great dragon in the sky on which he climbed and straight into the endless clouds, the dragon zoomed.
While the rest of the group gasped in shock, Vulcan stood to his feet and hurried to his Athena. He hugged her heavily and tightly without warning, grabbing the taste of her lips he had craved for all this while.
"Oh... I'm sorry."
He muttered and kissed her again,
"I love you so much."
He promised and stole her lips again. She moved slightly in his arms and muttered,
"You'll push the baby out."
"Huh?"
He quizzed, staring keenly at her face. Then he felt something tugging at his stomach. He looked down her body and caught the pregnancy. The pregnancy that wasn't there few seconds ago. He began to cry as he went down on his knees and began to nuzzle the mound, kissing it repeatedly.
"Happy are we, aren't we?"
The remaining of the group joined them in pairs.
"Bunch of couples you meant?"
Joyo called. Prium shot,
"Go get pregnant too, Tahni, so you could fit in the group."
Tahni sneered,
"Tell your princess to get married."
They all laughed as glee paced the Colosseum and the clouds rumbled suddenly. Then rain.
"Father."
Athena muttered. Aynea complemented,
"Quite a package for blessing."
