Farewell
"Sir, I have found the person Mister has been looking for. The mastermind behind the slanted news about the scandal that Mrs. Aurora committed, has now been arrested and has even been secured by the authorities."
Alexius looked serious in conveying important information to Tristan before the man ate breakfast. After previously being given the task of finding the person responsible for the uproar that occurred, Alexius managed to find the figure and even handed him over directly to the authorities to be immediately arrested and processed.
Mario, who was also there, smiled broadly. In the end, the business that they have been running for several days has found a bright spot, which can later be used as a basis for clearing the wife's good name.
Until now, Mario believed that by capturing Lucas, he could force the man to make a statement to the public out there that what the man had done was intentional to bring down the good name of his wife and the whole extended family.
"I'm happy with the information you just shared, Alexius. You are indeed the most reliable in anything," said Tristan to his confidant.
In all the years Alexius had been his bodyguard and right-hand man, the man had never let him down once. Ah no. It seems like there was one time yesterday when Alexius also lied about Sophia's pregnancy which was indeed at risk.
"I also thank you, Alexius. With this information, later I can sue the man who deliberately toyed with my family!"
Alexis nodded. Happy because his hard work is again paying off and making his boss look satisfied.
"Whatever the task is, I will gladly do it, even if it means endangering my own life."
Tristan then patted Alexius' shoulder lightly while smiling.
"It is because of this totality that I feel comfortable making you a confidant until this moment."
Believing that there was nothing more that needed to be heard, Tristan invited Alexius to leave, to then standby before going to the police station together after breakfast.
A moment later, from his office, together with Tristan and Mario headed to the dining room. There, Raphael and Aurora and Sophia were already sitting there waiting.
"Where have you two been?" asked Raphael curiously. Of course he was curious because when he left the room and decided to go to the dining room, he only found Aurora and her daughter-in-law, Sophia.
"We both just had an important discussion with Alexius, Pa," said Tristan after he sat down.
"Discussing? What important thing did Alexius convey?"
"This concerns the mastermind behind the news which has been going on in the last few days," said Mario, taking over from Tristan's job.
Raphael was taken aback. What Mario said made him even more curious about the developments in the case that had befallen his daughter. Until one question arises, did Tristan and Mario manage to find the person who had messed up his extended family?
"Why? Has the culprit been found?"
Tristan nodded with a smile.
"Thank God, finally Alexius found the person responsible for this matter."
Aurora and Sophia gasped too. Both of them listened carefully to what Tristan would say after this.
"As we all suspect, Lucas is indeed the culprit in this matter. And luckily, Alexius managed to find that jerk who had been hiding all this time and last night intended to escape to Germany."
"Good grief."
Raphael exclaimed. But afterwards he breathed a sigh of relief because it meant that soon the problems that befell his family, especially the daughter, could be resolved soon.
"Then where is that man now, Tristan? Did you catch him?"
"Of course, Pa," said Tristan confidently. "Last night, Alexius and the authorities managed to arrest him. And now, the man is in prison pending further legal action. I'm sure that man will rot for a long time in prison."
Raphael shook his head slowly. Knowing full well that his son was a vengeful and also temperamental figure, he was not the least bit surprised to see how angry Tristan wanted to punish this figure named Lucas.
"Do your best, Tristan. Papa hopes that after this Aurora's problem can be resolved soon and there will be no more skewed news circulating."
"Papa, just calm down," Tristan said back. "As I promised, an incident like this will never happen again." Then after that Tristan glanced at Aurora who had been sitting quietly, listening. "Don't worry Aurora. I promise, after this no one will sneer or curse at you anymore. I swear to that."
Aurora nodded. In my heart I feel relieved because the struggle that Tristan and Mario did finally paid off. Everything they do is solely for themselves.
While enjoying breakfast, everyone seemed to be deep in conversation. Until finally the food served ran out, one by one began to leave the dining table.
"Honey..." Mario called before the man decided to leave. "I'll go first. Before going to the office, Tristan and I will stop first at the police station to check on Lucas' whereabouts."
Aurora nodded. Reaching out, then fixing the position of Mario's tie which looks asymmetrical.
"I hope this matter is resolved soon. If there are any other developments, please let me know immediately."
"Of course," nodded Mario. "I hope you enjoy your time off at home. Even if you're bored and want to go for a walk, don't ever go alone. Ask the driver to accompany you and don't forget to bring Sophia too."
Aurora nodded with a smile. Looks like Mario can read the situation that he might feel bored because he stays at home for too long.
Even though she believes that there will be no more employees who sneer or gossip about her in the office, Aurora feels that she needs a moment to calm down at home. Maybe the day after tomorrow or wait for his mind to settle down, then he will return to work or busy himself in the office.
In fact, if Mario obeyed, the man even forced him to take leave from now on. After all, the age of her womb has also started to enter the last months.
"No need to worry, Mario. I'm definitely enjoying my time off. I hope all the problems and business that you and Tristan are working on today can be resolved soon."
"Sure," said Mario quickly. "In that case, I'll go first. This afternoon, I'll bring your cakes and your favorite food as usual."
Mario then hugged Aurora for a moment before actually leaving. Kissed him for a while, then headed for the car to leave with Tristan.
After Mario left, Aurora chose to return to the room. Part of his time he used to read the parenting book that Sophia had just given him last night.
Engrossed in eating snacks while reading a book, Aurora's cell phone rang. Glancing for a moment, there was a call from an unknown number calling him.
Initially, Aurora deliberately ignored. But, the call seemed not tired, just kept on calling him. Believing that there might be something urgent, Aurora finally decided to pick up. Spoke a few moments. And after ending the call, rush to the walk in closet, to change clothes afterwards.
"Aurora, where are you going?" Sophia was surprised when she found Aurora who left the room in a neat condition complete with a bag on her back.
"I have to leave Sophia. I have important business to finish," said the woman.
"Important business? Outside? Are you sure you want to go alone? Do you need me to accompany you?"
Aurora shook her head. Politely declined what Sophia offered him.
"No need, Sophia. I'll only be a minute. I promise before lunch I'll be back home."
"But you went with the driver, right?"
This time Aurora nodded.
"Yes, of course. I was escorted by the driver. Then, I'll go first. If I need something later, I will definitely contact you directly."
Sophia nodded. Because he had no power to stop her and believed that Aurora would also be fine, he allowed the woman to go out with one of the drivers who was on standby at home.
Meanwhile, Aurora hurriedly went to a restaurant in the middle of town. As soon as he arrived, he was immediately led by the waiter to step into the VIP room, to meet someone who had previously deliberately contacted him.
"Welcome, Aurora. Nice to meet you," greeted the figure when Aurora arrived at one of the VIP rooms in this typical American restaurant.
Aurora then nodded kindly. Before deciding to sit down, chose to respond to the greeting he received.
"It's also nice to meet Papa after so long. Sorry if I kept Papa waiting."
Aurora then sat herself down on the soft chair that was already available. Hope and anxiety mixed with nervousness. Guessing, for what reason his father-in-law invited him to meet.
"Earlier, Papa apologized for possibly disturbing your time."
"No problem, Pa. Incidentally I'm on leave. So, I'm really not doing activities."
James nodded.
"Then how are you, are you okay?"
"So far so good, Pa. This is all thanks to Mario who always looks after, accompanies and ensures my condition."
"Thank goodness for that. Papa hopes that you and your big family are always healthy."
A moment of silence. Nervousness still haunts Aurora. Especially when his father-in-law threw an unusual look at him.
"Actually, what business did papa suddenly call me?" asked Aurora to the point. Instead of lingering, he thought it was better to get straight to the point. Aurora is also aware that her father-in-law is a busy person and must have a very busy schedule.
Meanwhile, James seemed to smile. He took a sip of the coffee in his cup first, then watched Aurora again for a few moments, before finally speaking back.
"Actually, Papa has heard about the slanted news that was circulating out there."
Upon hearing that sentence, cold sweat immediately poured down, wetting Aurora's forehead. The nervousness hit again. Followed by bad thoughts that now seemed happy to be dancing in his brain. For some reason, when discussing the scandalous news that had been circulating, Aurora felt humiliated.
"I'm sorry if this news has tarnished the good name of Papa's big family. But, really, everything is not as what was reported."
"Yes, papa knows about that. Calvin even defended you repeatedly yesterday," said James, making Aurora gasp.
"Calvin?"
"Yeah," James nodded quickly. "Yesterday we did meet and talk about this. Actually, there are many other things that Papa wants to tell your husband. However, he seemed in a hurry to leave and refused the request that Papa had made yesterday."
"Request?"
Aurora's forehead also wrinkled deeply. Thinking about what kind of request actually his father-in-law had made.
"What did Papa want to ask?"
He smiled. Without the burden of directly answering questions that Aurora asked.
"Papa asked Calvin to divorce you, Aurora. And you don't think that request is excessive, do you?"
