Chapter 2

"Damn, these assholes!" Gun cussed hard while exchanging gunfire with their opposing syndicates. Dezrail is hiding one of the barrels scatter in the area while holding his sword. He jumps out of the barrel without making a noise and targets a person near him.
Dezrail slashes his katana to the man, blood scattered on the floor, and some blood fly on his black suit. He lifts his mask before turning his gaze where Gun is and gave him a signal. Gun nodded when he saw him.
He went to the upper rooms where the mastermind is hiding. Their mission is to eliminate these assholes that became bugs in their organization. Being an assassin is a dangerous job for normal people, but for those who face all the struggles from these bitches’ hands – they have no mercy.
"Spare my life." the old man said when Dezrail arrive where this old guy is hiding. He slowly walks as he tightly holds his katana covered with blood – all of this old man's men experience his merciless killings.
He gives a cold look to the old guy while approaching him.
"I…I give you anything just spare my life, please." the old man stutter, and his face is covered with cold sweat as he steps backward because of fear until he reaches the wall and nowhere to run.
"Give me a hundred reasons why I need to spare your life?" Dezrail asked.
From his inner mind, he saw the face of the lady he saw the last time he hangs out in that village park. There’s a sudden feeling inside him that wants to see her again and hear her voice while taking a nap at a tree trunk.
"I give you money, power, even wealth. Spare my life and I give you everything I have." the old guy trying to convince the man standing in front of him. He needs to buy time on how to escape. He cannot disappear from the world!
Dezrail took a deep breath. Without a cue, he slashes the old man's neck as his blood splatter all over his black suit and his face.
"I don’t need you dirty wealth, old man. Say hello to Lucifer for me." He said as he walks away and meets his friends outside the abandoned building. He may be a monster in his kingdom but he has a reason why he wanted to do this job and kill those people that he has no grudge against them.
It’s his nature...
It’s his job...
Just like her song, no one can see his monster side after he saw her at the park.
"My band's vocalist drops his position and I don't know the reason behind it," Calvin said while looking at his hands.
"Find another," Reiden said briefly to his friend Calvin. The guy looks frustrated and he doesn’t know what to do. Reiden sips his coffee as he looks at his friend and from his peripheral vision, he saw his sister walking to the stairs like a zombie.
"That's my problem; no one is qualified for that position. There are hundreds of auditionees but no one caught my attention." Calvin clinches his fist because he doesn’t know what to do anymore. As the owner of CDC Entertainment and as the producer of the band, the board is pressuring him. His band is the one who sold out the most in their market so he can’t let them go.
"If the vocalist is the only problem you have, I know a person who can fit in," Reiden said before placing his cup on the center table and look at his friend’s face.
"Who?" Calvin asks.
"My sister."
Ernaline clasped her hands nervously as she slung the guitar over her shoulder. She didn't know how her older brother forced her to come here to the CDC.
Her older brother even delivered her before he entered the office. The person her brother who’s talking with the other day is the owner of an entertainment named Calvin de Chavez, she won’t be surprised if her brother’s friends are such big people in the industry.
"Seriously, it's scary here." said the woman next to her whom she did not know.
She's wearing a white plain dress and white doll shoes. While she’s wearing a blue t-shirt with a print "Never give up" and black leather pants and sneakers. Ernaline also doesn't have make-up but those with her will be flaunted by her face and hair while she seems to have just passed the corner and made a wrong turn to go to the CDC.
"Oh my God! It’s Blackhand!" The woman exclaimed who sat next to her who was standing due to shock and excitement. As she frowned when she turned her gaze to the four men entering the entrance where there were people who wanted to join their band.
"Black hand? Who are they?" Ernaline asked. She was surprised when she was suddenly slapped on the arm by the person next to her.
"What are you? Don't you know them?" Ernaline shook her head as she held her injured arm.
"I'm sorry, if I hit you, wherever my hand loves to land wherever she wants. Anyway, Blackhand is one of the most popular bands here in the Philippines and around the world. It came out in the news that their vocalist slash leader left without a valid reason." The woman explained.
"So they decided to find a vocalist. They are good at singing but they prefer the band to have an official vocalist for less hassle." Ernaline just nodded at the woman's story even though she wasn't interested in a meeting of those men.
"They're much better in person." The woman exclaimed as she sat next to her.
"Are you a fan of them?" Ernaline asked. She felt close to the woman. She sees Sinji in the woman. They look similar in their attitude.
"Of course! Ever since they started to form a band I've been there, from their first mall shows, TV guesting, commercials even their first-ever concert. I'm too hooked on their song especially Talking to the Moon and Love is Gone. So even though I don't know how to sing, I came here not to be in their band but to see them up close and get lucky. I dream of dating one of them, Kyle, whom I crush."
"Aren't you embarrassed there?" Ernaline doubted what could happen to her seatmate if she continued to want to be in the band.
"It's fine, I don't have a problem with that and I'm not afraid of embarrassment. You know, I live to embarrass myself in public. I have talent but more on dancing, I have a passion for dancing but unfortunately, no one accepts me." The woman smiled but her eyes were sad. She felt pity and admiration for it.
"Anyway, I'm Saviel Hyuga. Call me Savi or Saviel whatever you like." Saviel unfolded its palm in front of her. Ernaline immediately accepted it and shook hands with her.
"Ernaline," She introduces herself to the woman. She was shaken by the name of the new acquaintance and she was nervous again.
"See you later Ernaline. I'll prepare myself for embarrassment when I leave that room." She whispered lamely to her before finally standing up and approaching the staff.
Hopefully, she will also have the same confidence as Saviel. She was not prepared for the possible outcome of her audition here.
