Human Potential for Evolution is Limitless is not the real name of Perth's underground organization. They do not have the power to investigate cases, nor do they have the obligation to save but the opposite in the eyes of justice.
They called themselves assassins ... they can kill thousands of people ... they kill a person without hesitation; they think they are an obstacle to their work.
But in Ernaline’s case now it seems that the law can be twisted within their organization that only they know because of Ernaline.
"When did it start Miss Montenegro?" Rent asked her. She tightly grips her both hands under the table because fear envelops her.
"From the moment I stepped foot as the Blackhand’s vocalist, they started sending me letters and death threats. I have no collisions or enemies. I don’t step on anyone either" he said softly while bowing to his hands still cold.
Ever since Saviel told her about the letter they haven't left here at HuPoFEL which is supposed to be she has a shoot today with the band.
"How can you face this kind of situation if you don't know who's your enemy" ani ni Ten. Isa rin itong myembro ng HuPoFEL
Ernaline did not speak. There's no way she can imagine who could do this to her. She just felt a warm hand land on her hands. She lifted her face, Perth's serious face was exposed to her.
"Don't think too much about it. I have to keep you safe. Whoever he is, he won't escape. If he wants a game, I'll be on it"
"No! Ayokong mandamay ng tao" Why would people want to meddle in things they no longer cover?
"I'm your bodyguard Ernaline"
Ernaline was busy practicing their song when Saviel approached her. It just stood next to him while holding the microphone stand. The first-ever major concert is coming up because he will sing in front of thousands of fans.
"I wish all of the people voice blesses like you?" Saviel says.
"What's the matter?" Ernaline was left speechless.
"Nothing" the woman sat down on a speaker scattered there before crossing its long legs and folding in front of her.
Saviel is sitting like she owned everything in her surroundings. Ernaline wonders about this woman's behavior, She means Saivel is too flawless and looks like a Goddess but why does she offer herself to him as her Assistant?
"So, what are we doing there?" Ernaline rolls her eyeballs like there's no tomorrow. It's just gossip.
Saviel pulled a chair close to them before she slumped to sit right in front of the girl and she mimicked its position.
"You know Marites, I'm practicing here in case you disturb,"
"My gossip radar is strong, Maria,"
"I don't care about your radar Marites, all I need now is peace of mind,"
"I'll give you Maria, but to a question an answer?"
"Shoot"
"Where did D and you come from yesterday?"
Ernaline was devastated to draw the goofy grin on Saviel's lips. She asks permission if she could go to her brother’s office because they couldn't talk anymore but the truth is that Perth took her to HuPoFEL.
She averted her eyes from the maiden's critical gaze. "We're from my older brother’s office."
"Don't lie, Maria, Rent called me last night from HuPoFel,"
Ernaline let out a sigh. Maybe she has nothing to hide from this woman! She was about to open her mouth to speak when a creature approached them.
"What are you doing in that kind of place?" Senri's serious face startled the two of them. The man sighed as he leaned against the microphone stand that Sav had made to lean on earlier.
"Don't gossip with us Cardo," the man frowned as Saviel called him by a different name.
"That place is forbidden for an innocent person like you. It's too dangerous" Senri turned to Ernaline.
"Danger is my middle name, Senri. I accept what may happen in the future,"
Until they got home to the apartment, Saviel didn’t stop asking her what she was doing at HuPoFEL.
Ernaline knows it is a dangerous place, but that kind of place gave her warmth and peace. If only she could live there, she would love it.
She was about to sleep when her phone rang. Her forehead furrowed as she realized who was calling. She presses the answer button before put it on her ear while staring at Saviel's astonished face.
"Hello?" she asks.
"Hey Ashi, long time no talk" Ernaline signaled to Sav that Renal was calling so the woman just nodded.
"Same here, why were you called?"
"I would like to invite you if it's okay?"
"What occasion?"
"Ah, it's my birthday. You can include the band if you're all not busy. I'll just send you an invitation"
"Sure. When is that?"
"Two days from now"
"Thanks for inviting, expect us to be there" he immediately turned off the call after saying ‘that.
Saviel immediately climbed into her bed and seemed to have activated her gossip radar again.
"What did he say?"
"We were invited to his birthday party," Sav muttered because of what Ernaline said.
"Is that okay? I mean, their band considers our rivals,"
"Renal insisted it. It's probably not a big deal because he's my childhood" Ernaline just shrugged from Saviel.
Ernaline knows that the four idiots won't agree with it because the other group considers them rivals. They don't need to compete because they have their talents to be proud of.
"I have a bad feeling about what will happen" Ernaline ignored what Sav said. The woman left her bed before returning to her bed and covering her back with a blanket.
She'll just leave it to fate, just like what Perth said. "Fate is like a strange, unpopular restaurant filled with odd little waiters who bring you things you never asked for and don't always like."
After Ernaline cut the call, Renal let out a sigh as he faces Kate who was in front of him while drinking her glass of wine.
"Did she agree to your invitation?" Kate asks him.
Renal sat on a high stool before pouring his glass of wine.
"She said yes" he replied lazily. He couldn't understand what this woman's motive was in Blackhand since he heard that Ashleigh was a member. It is not unknown to him that the two women will meet even though he met Ashleigh in America once when he was on vacation with his father.
"That's all I want to know Love, I'm going first" he kissed her on the woman's lips but he felt like his heart was bored.
He just nodded here and just looked at the departing woman out of his condo.
He didn’t want to party but Kate insisted on it so he doesn’t have to choose but to obey her. He’s like a living robot who always followed his Master’s request from him.
