Chapter 2
The hours pass and everyone was dirty, tired, but happy. We decided to wash up to go to Don Genaro's restaurant and enjoy a delicious freshly made pizza.
"My heavens!" I complain as I sit down, from my position I can appreciate the beautiful crystal clear waters.
"You should stop with the crazy paintings,” recommends my sun.
"I know, I know. I am nowhere near having my tenderness," I sigh, "I get more tired," I caress my belly when I feel my baby move.
"Have you seen the mega belly you have?" Micaela asks, “is it normal woman? I say that belly is not normal,” she looks at me almost with pity.
"It's not normal," says Fatima, "it's too big for her body," She gives me a look of displease.
"She can't walk well," Steve looks at me, “you should stay home waiting for zero hour." I roll my eyes.
"I say she still has stamina," I see Roderick shrug, “what? Don't look at me like that. When have you seen a pregnant woman so active? Olethea even runs with the pregnancy.”
I smile, my friend lacks a little gray matter, he is the most carefree of all, but the most physically attractive. He's tall, blond, his hair is as yellow as the sun, he has blue eyes that kill and a little pink mouth that makes you want to kiss him, and he has well-defined muscles, come on, he's all pretty.
"Truly, if you weren't an excellent artist, you would have starved to death," Fatima denies.
"You had to speak," my friend reproaches her.
"Well come on, you're not going to argue either," my sunshine cuts them off, “and our friends are right, you should already stay calm at home, without effort, just calm and relaxed.”
In total agreement I look at them, “what do you all say about one last time of dancing and fun?” I smile at each one, “it will be a farewell, after this no university, no days of crazy paintings and no leaving the house. Just wait and that's it. Isn't it a good idea?” My friends look at each other and then look at my sun, he has the last word, according to them. Francesco is the owner of several well-known brand clothing stores in Milan, he is almost always on the road.
"Don't look at me, this woman could never be dominated," he jokes, "well, we'll go have fun as a farewell." Everyone applauds, starting from me.
Dinner passed between laughter, mockery and bad words from Fatima, the woman has a dirty mouth and she does not care what is thought of her. She never cares!
"Wow, I’m full," Micaela whispers almost nervously.
"That's when it's best, men and daddies to eat." Mica, looking at her with eyes the size of the planet says and gives her a shove.
"Damn, today there are no flirtations, this is just to fire Olethea and that's it," she reminds him annoyed.
"My life. If you continue like this, ignoring me, you're going to die a virgin." A horrified Mica turns from white to a garish and scandalous red.
"You should lower your shamelessness a bit," Steve says in a joking tone, "not everyone is so ..." he looks at her with disdain, “like you.” When he sees Fatima's face, he starts laughing.
"You're an idiot," she pushes him.
“Come on, stop fightin,” Roderick said, moving next to me. I, without cutting a hair started to dance ‘Bad Romance’ by Lady Gaga, people look at me almost horrified, a woman with a belly bigger than her body is moving her skeleton as if nothing was happening. Without paying attention to anything, I continue my fun, being with Fatima has taught me to ‘screw up’ with everything.
"Fuck, I hate going to the bathroom so often," I complain, looking at Mica, "this pregnancy is not easy," I smile, "it's magic and so on but ..." I snort and bite my lip.
"Do you miss them?" She asks without letting me continue.
Frowning and feeling a slightly accelerated heartbeat, I sigh, “every second, every minute, every day and every month.” I swallow the lump that forms in my throat, without taking my gaze from her eyes, I smile. “But everything is part of the process, now my sun is with me, my tenderness has come. And you, today I can say that I have been happy again and the truth is not worth suffering, I have already said it before,” my friend who is very sentimental gives a sob and hugs me.
"Is the world crazy?" I hear the voice of an annoyed man, when my friend moves away from me, I can see how he look at me.
"What did you say?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Olethea enough, don't pay any attention,” my nervous friend says to me, I shake my head and smile, I still use my smile for everything.
"What is a pregnant woman doing in a place like this?" The boy asks superiorly.
Widening my smile and tilting my head, I say, “the same thing that a troglodyte like you does," I say cocky. "Why do you also come to have fun and not say stupid things?" The man stiffens his face, "what did you expect? What would make me feel bad about what an ignorant macho says? No my dear, this is what it is and you should get used to it.” I cross my arms, “I can already pity your wife,” I say looking at the ring on his finger, “a macho, who thinks he has power, but only shows lack of how intellectual he is,” a girl comes out of the bathroom, “now I bite my tongue or an insult is the least you'll get.” My friend, who is as pale as a paper, pulls me, the idiot stands before the gazes of the girls and boys.
“You can't hold that tongue,” my friend growls when entering the toilets, “you're just like Fatima. You don't measure the danger,” she yells hysterically, “you can't insult everyone for heaven's sake.”
I laugh when I see her like that, “calm woman, what I told him was the truth, besides, how did you expect me to stay with that? Come on, forget it now,” I say entering the bathroom.
