Chapter 68
While in the room we wait, the operation lasts from 6 to 7 hours, but I refuse to leave the hospital, I must be here when my sun leaves that room.
“It's been a long time Lucy.”
She looks at me, “it has only been 3 hours Sweet, we should go buy something for your feet.”
I move my bare feet which is cold, “I don't want to leave here, I want to wait, I can't with this anguish.”
She hugs me, “everything will be fine,” we sigh together.
“There they are,” Carla's voice is heard loud and clear as always, Lucy and I break our embrace to fix ourselves. Carla, Loan and Kahin appear at the end of the hall, Lucy gets up and takes refuge in the arms of her brother. Me, I look away and focus on my feet, when I see some sandals fall next to them I look up and find my friend, I start to cry again, my friend sits next to me and hugs me tightly. She gives me the support I needed, “everything will be okay skinny, I know that asking you to calm down is a bitch, but you must try to calm down and breathe, that state does not do the babies any good.” I sob like crazy, the hiccups shake me.
“Marilí,” called me the dummy, “I will take you and Lucy to eat something, come on and I do not want refusals and less from you.”
My friend helps me to get up, “I can’t have them,” I whisper, “my feet are very swollen.” Kahin approaches me, but I push him, “do not touch me,” I warn him with hatred.
“Put on mine,” Carla gives me hers and I put them on, although they were a little big for me.
After eating and enduring Kahin's intensity of talking to the girls, we return to the hospital, Mom is with Aunt Lourdes taking care of the babies.
"Damn it's late, when the hell are they going to tell us something?" I growled at the woman at the reception. "It's already been 7 hours and we're still not knowing anything. When are you going to talk?"
Lucelia takes me away from the place, “you must calm down, that way you will only get worse, you have not stopped vomiting and do not think that I do not notice your expression of pain, stay calm, if they still do not say anything it is because everything is fine so far.”
Sitting down and feeling helpless, I cover my face with my hands, “I don't know what I'm going to do if something happens to him Lucelia, I promised him I wouldn't make him suffer,” I let out the tears, “if he dies in that operating room, I'm never going to forgive myself, never.”
She hugs me, “well, you shouldn't think like that, if you gave the order to put him to sleep you would have disappointed me, you're giving him a new chance to live.” I want to believe her, I want to listen to her, but it's difficult for me, I'm doubting my decision.
"Relatives of Mr. Francesco Leone?" A woman stands in front of us, wearing the outfit they use in the operating room. We all approached her, Lucy and I being the first.
"What's wrong?" Lucy asks almost in a threatening tone.
“We have had some complications with the operation and that is why we are taking a long time, we are doing everything possible, but you must be prepared for whatever it is.” I do not listen anymore, everything turns black and shortly after I feel as if I am floating in the air.

“She's awake,” I hear Loan's voice, the headache makes it difficult for me to open my eyes so I just frown so the pain subsides and allows me to open them.
“Aaahhh,” I complain about the blinding light on the ceiling, “what happened?” I ask trying to sit up.
“You have fainted from the tension,” Kahin responds next to me, “you gave me a scare Dulce,” seeing him worried eyes tells me that he had a hard time, “you slept for two hours,” he helps me to sit up.
“My sun, how is my sun?” I look at them all, they look at each other, “talk! What happened?” The heart begins to pump with force.
“Quiet, he's already in recovery,” Lucy answers, “we can't see him yet, the doctors have suggested that we go home and come tomorrow. It's late and you should rest.” I breath out in relief, my sun is fine and that's the only thing that matters.
When we got home under Lucy's car, Kahin followed us, Mom and my aunt Lourdes leave with Carla and Loan, I stay at home with my son and Kahin.
“Kahin it is not necessary for you to stay, if I had wanted someone to accompany me I would tell my mother, now please leave me alone, I must rest you heard what the doctor said,” I see him approach me, I turn away, “bye,” he stops briefly and then leave, I close the door and sigh, this is difficult.
Entering the kitchen I go straight to the counter to have a banana, the doorbell rings and I curse, I don't know what to do to make Kahin leave me alone, “I told you I wanted to be alone,” I yell opening the door, but there was a surprise waiting for me. I gasped and he makes me go back, confused I look at him, “what are you doing in my house?” I bark on her face, she laughs and pushes the door hard. She is a little more stronger and she hits me full in the belly, “what the hell Cristina?” I yell at her, I don't understand what she's doing here.
“Shut up the fucking mouth,” she punches me directly on the mouth, the taste of iron reaches my taste buds, backing away I hold the table in the hall.
“Damn you bitch I never liked you,” taking the ceramic that adorns the table I smash it on her head, she backs away and I try to get away from her, but she grabs my hair.
“I didn't like you any less,” she pulls my hair hard, I hold on to the table so as not to fall, “now you're going to pay for what your damned husband did, he didn't want to believe my threats so he will pay the consequences.” I hear a gun cocked.
“I can do everything,” I feel liberated to hear that and when I turned, Kahin was pointing the gun at his secretary. He closes the door and when I tried to speak, he shakes his head at me. He approaches me and whispers in my ear, “I want you to check her, take off her clothes and look for the microphone.” Looking at him strange, I'm wanted him to explain to me what the hell is going on, but his gaze tells me that he's not joking.
