Chapter 26 The Favor
On the way, some students are roaming around, most of them are still having their classes. They give glances at me for a moment and went back to their businesses. These incidents are normal as it happens every day seeing a bruised person.
"Next time please fight, or at least try to dodge, or just go away! You'll get yourself killed by that bitch!" Drena has been yelling at me all the way, her tears constantly flowing down her cheeks. She's been lecturing me what to do, well, I wasn't really listening.
We are on our way to the clinic but when I sensed no students around, I get out of Drena's hold. I took my arms out of her shoulder and walked straight to our room.
"Hey! Where are you going?" She asked following me, her face held confusion from my actions as she wipes her tears using the back of her hands.
"To the room." I plainly answered.
"But you're wounded! Don't you even feel it!?" She yelled angrily, wanting me to go into the clinic. My medicines are much more effective than theirs.
"I don't," I told her the truth. There's no reason for me to lie to her. And I hate lying, it's different from hiding. Isn't it?
"What!? Are you serious!?" She looked at my face to see me wearing a serious look.
"You're serious." She said lowly more to herself. "You need to explain once we get to the room, I can't ignore it anymore!" She's clearly frustrated.
I know she had already sensed something about me, that's why I already stopped pretending to her. But I won't stop hiding, not yet.
As we reached our room, I went in front of the mirror to see a bruised line near the side of my lips. It looks small, just an inch, probably her ring that caused the bleeding. I don't see any scars, my body is immune to them. So, weak hits like that can't cause bruises or scars on me. No marks from her except this thin line near my lips.
Drena also looked closer at my face searching for something. She let out a small gasp "How come you didn't have bruises on your face?" She looked so surprised.
"Her punches are weak." It's true, I have received so many punches and her's didn't even reach half of any of them. Uncle Dos and Carlo.
She let out an O-face and "You're kidding me right!? You're talking about the strongest girl in this academy, her punches can kill! And by the looks of the punches she gave you, you might be dead by just three of it!" She looked at me up and down. "I won a Judo competition but I can't even compete with her! And looking at you, it seems like nothing happened!" She snapped at me.
"'Coz' nothing happened." I simply stated as I took a bottle of cream in my closet, and put some of it in the wound near my lips. I decided to lay down on my bed and closed my eyes.
"Don't leave me hanging! I'm talking to you, can you please talk to me properly, who are you?" I felt her closed her eyes and take deep breaths calming herself.
I opened my eyes to see her staring at me intensely "Just ignore me and mind your own business." I stated blankly, I don't want to hear anything, anymore...
"Tell me I heard it wrong." She seems a bit sad as she sat down on her bed still facing me.
"Just exactly what you heard," I said lowly.
She just met me yesterday yet acted like we've met years ago. Friend.
"Exactly," I said blankly sitting up and looked at her eyes "You're my friend," I stand up facing her "but you are dead the moment you'll know who I am," I said lowly to her.
I saw her face held fear for mere seconds as she stumbled back. Suddenly, it changed with nothing but understanding. She sighed and nodded at me.
I turned my back and started walking towards the door. "I won't hurt the two of you." I stated lowly telling the truth "I'm your friend right?" I asked not facing her. I sensed her nodded.
"Yes." She said with determination in her voice.
"Can I ask you a favor?" I simply asked.
"I don't know who you are but the first time I saw you, I felt so warm, and from that moment I made you as my friend... and trusted you..." her voice held seriousness "so, yeah."
When I reached the knob I faced her. She's staring down on the floor, her hands were put together.
"Don't ask questions about me, set aside your curiosity. And, don't tell Cassy what happened." She looked at me quickly with curiosity.
"I can do the first favor but not the second one. Cassy is our friend, she deserves to know what Daniela did to you!" She said her voice went louder.
"And cry as you did?" There. It struck her as she tried to open her mouth to talk and close it, not knowing what to say. She lowered her head and nodded.
"But, promise me don't let Daniela hurt you again like that, try dodging her, I know you can." She bargained looking at me.
I put my head down as I shake my head "I need it." She was taken aback, shock is obvious on her face.
"I'm going out to get some fresh air." I opened the door and walked out.
Drena is a smart girl but she doesn't have any friends except Cassy. That's why I'm assured she will tell no one about what she saw and felt.
One thing I chose her to be my roommate is that she has her words, what she stated is considered as done. That's what she learned from her father.
Cassy, on the other hand, is very sensitive, she doesn't want anyone close to her to get hurt even with her flirtatious act, she's the softest person in heart. Her own history told me.
Told ya, I didn't expect myself to be this good in psychology but I've been a spy, and I never failed a mission.
I think I need 3 days to break for school. She has been needing to wake up. So, I decided to go out of the campus still in my PE uniform.
