Chapter 48 Fiancee

There's nothing I can do about it, they already made me accept it long ago. My father and I fought about it at first but I can't go against his will. So, I just let things flow.

We are on our way to the restaurant and when we got there, I saw a man and a woman probably in their middle ages sitting at the table.

"Good evening Mr. And Mrs. Sandoval" My dad shake the hands of Mr. And Mrs. Sandoval, followed by mom.

"Likewise Mr. And Mrs. Barren." Mr. Sandoval said.

"Is this your son?" Mrs. Sandoval asked looking at me. They nodded smiling.

"Oh! He's so handsome." She smiled with adoration.

"Thank you." I smiled at her.

"By the way, take your seat." They motioned us to sit in front of them.

"Thank you." My mom said smiling.

"Where's your daughter?" Mom asked looking at Mrs. Sandoval.

"Ow sorry, my daughter is on her way, she just got home from her school." She explained.

"I see." Mom said smiling.

They talked about their business which I seemingly don't care about. I just looked down. Suddenly,

"She's here! Come here, sweetie." Mrs. Sandoval said talking to the person behind me.

I sensed her come near to her mom and kisses her cheek.

I looked up to see a beautiful blue-eyed girl. Shocked to see that it was her...

Still Lucas POV

I suddenly stand up "You!?" We both asked in surprise. The nerd girl.

"You both know each other?" Mrs. Sandoval asked with a smile.

"Yes" "No" we both answered, she denied.

"What?" My mom asked.

She looked down "Ahm, yes."

"We're classmates in one of our classes," I stated.

"Ow." My mom and her mom both reacted.

"That's good that you already know each other, it would be easy for the two of you." My dad said.

"Yes, that's good. You two should get together because by next year we will have to prepare for a marriage." Her dad said but we're just staring at each other's eyes.

Suddenly, my mom patted my shoulder "Honey, why don't you ask Stella out now? It would be good if you too can have a bond." Stella, I like the name. I nodded and walked towards her.

"Shall we?" I offered my hand.

She nodded and took it. Her hand is so soft and warm. Then, we walked out of the restaurant.

The moment we're out she took her hand out of mine, I suddenly felt cold.

"So, you're my fiance." She stated the obvious. Where's the nerd girl?

"I think I am," I stated the obvious.

"Can we just go back to the school?" She asked softly. This is my nerd girl. My!?

I nodded. Sorry Xen, I found nothing. Then I saw her smile, a smile that made my heart beat fast. What is this, do I like her?

We are in my car driving back to school. The drive is so silent. Suddenly,

"Can I ask you for a favor?" I break the silence.

She looked at me questioning. "What favor?" She asked through her sweet voice.

"Don't let anyone hurt you." I looked at her and she turned her head facing the window.

"I can't help it." Her voice was low.

"Then, let me help you." I pleaded which made her looked at me, her blue eyes... it's so mesmerizing.

"Look at the road." I immediately looked straight at the road.

"Why would you help me?" She asked, her voice was too low. She's like glass, so fragile...

"I'm your fiance." I hate it when I saw them hurt you. I hate it...

"Right. Fiance..." She mumbled. "I want to ask you a favor too." She said softly.

"Anything." As long as I can.

"Don't act like you know me in school. Let's stay strangers." She looked down.

"You're my fiance, Stella." My voice was hard as I looked at her.

"You're a member of the Insigma Fighters Lucas." She looked at me with her serious face. She's so cute... why did I just realize this now?

She knew about me, well I'm famous. But, she's right. I don't want her to get involved with us, with the dangers we're facing. I wanted her safe.

"You're famous and I can't handle too much attention." She added as she looked down.

"I understand. Let's stay strangers then." She nodded with a half-smile which made me smile too.

Venice Claire's POV

I go back to school without them knowing, when I reached the school it's almost 4 am so I immediately went to our room specifically in my bed, and sleep.

On our way to our classes, the two keep on talking.

"Hey, Claire! How's your family reunion?" Cassy faced me in front walking backward while smiling.

"Good," I said plainly.

"Just good? Ahm, do you have a handsome brother or cousin?" She's walking forward beside me now.

Then suddenly Drena slapped her at the back of her head "Aren't you still satisfied with Coby?" Cassy fixed her hair glaring at Drena.

"Coby? I didn't even encounter anyone with that name." Frustration is shown in her.

"Oh really?" Drena asked sarcastically.

"Oh well let's talk about Adrian..." Cassy smirked which made Drena let out a snort.

"They said she's the Silencer's cousin, it's hard to believe." I stopped the moment I heard a girl talking with her friend whose passing us.

"What hard to believe you were saying?! The Huntress is the best fighter in the whole nation of Spain! And it's absolutely believable that she's a Tarre, one of the royals." The girl with her exclaimed.

So, Zoey came from Spain... but how do they know?

"I can't believe the Huntress is in our country. She's legendary." Cassy said in low voice.

"Me too and to think she's related to the Silencer, an absolute Legendary. History really runs in the blood. Those two created a history in the world with their incredible strength." Drena stated with a serious face.

"Meeting the Huntress is a dream come true!" Cassy beamed.

"What about the Silencer?" Drena tested her.

"What!? I don't wanna die! Seeing the Silencer is like facing my own death!" She overreacted.

There's a part in me that was thorn slightly, a little bit but still, I felt it, I don't know where and why? Why did I felt it? I can't even feel a stab but why her words thorn me?

I've heard those words many times, and more than those but why? Is this because she's my friend? Do I feel friendship now? Is this friendship that they called?

"Even though the Silencer is a monster that they called it, I still wanted to meet that person. I wanted to know that person. I have so many questions for the Silencer." Drena said in sadness.

I immediately looked at her. No. You should be like Cassy. Never meet the Silencer.

"Cassy is right, you wouldn't like to meet the Silencer. It's death." I said looking away.

"See! Claire also wouldn't like it!" Cassy beamed.

"Have you met the Silencer?" She asked me with her serious face.

"I'm going," I said to them as I walked in a separate path ignoring her.

"Take care!" They shouted in chorus. I raised my right hand gesturing 'okay'

The three classes were done peacefully, Coby is absent again. What might they be doing? Why do I care? Tch.
