Chapter 97 Uncle

Xenon suddenly stands up facing me "There's no way I'll ask them for help."

"Claire is right Xen, I can't think of anyone other than them." Lucas interfered.

"Things would be good if we have them on our side." Coby agreed.

"I said no." Xenon hardly stated while looking at them, "Blue Fire Gang is working for the Tarre and you know what happened last time... Nicholo set us up, he worked for Marco." He said.

"Speaking of Nicholo. He has been missing and no one ever found him. He does not also belong to the Blue Fire Gang anymore." Martin interrupted which caught their attention.

"What do you mean?" Adrian asked out of curiosity.

"I don't know what happened. It's just that, one day... he disappeared and no one ever saw him. Blake has been their leader ever since." After Martin said this Xenon looked at me once again.

I can feel curiosity building upon him from the look he is giving me.

"Still, they are working for Tarre and Tarre are the underground royals... they are definitely connected with Marco's illegal works." Xenon said.

But I know more than enough that we, Royals aren't involved with Mr. Baron.

"They aren't." Stella suddenly popped from the kitchen holding a tray with glasses of juice.

Lucas quickly walked towards her and grabbed the tray as he placed it on the table. Those nerds are perfectly fit for each other.

"What do you mean they aren't?" Xenon asked Stella.

"I know Tarre more than enough." From the look of it, the Insigma Fighters knew that they are now facing... Uno.

Bryan and Martin wearing confusion out of their faces.

"But isn't Tarre involved with every illegal activity? They are Royals and they control criminals including dark jobs... in fact, they are the law of the dark world." Lucas stated wearing curiosity on his face.

Stella suddenly looked at me and I secretly nod at once leaning back to the wall. I sensed Xenon saw it but then ignore it as he listened to Stella with so much curiosity.

"Exactly, the law of Dark World. They have existing codes to follow as the Royals in the throne and any criminals who try to deviate will definitely face punishments..." They watched her intently, waiting to continue her words.

"And?" Coby asked impatiently but Stella looked at him with shyness masked her face.

"Ahm... I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said it." She stated and run towards our room. The boys were stunned on their spot with mouths widely agape from what just happened.

So I continued "And... from the look of it, Mr. Baron deviated more than what is written on the code."

"Fuck!" Lucas cursed.

"Why didn't I know about that!?" Adrian asked more to himself.

"We've been idiots all along!" Coby exclaimed.

"Who's that girl?" Bryan asked pointing towards Stella who's hiding in our room.

"Woah! That was... amazing! That girl is peculiar!" Martin exclaimed still processing what he witnessed.

"Don't dare cross the path Martin. She's mine." Lucas threatened.

"Do you know what is written on the code?" Xenon suddenly asked.

That is what makes me like him more. He's the guy who will assure of things but if I tell him, he will surely be curious of me more than he is.

"Why don't you ask Stella? I bet she knows it." I stated shrugging.

"With her state earlier I don't think we can persuade her," Lucas stated losing hope.

"Stella!" I yelled and in just a second she was running faster down the stairs.

Lucas stood agape once again. "What the heck..." he murmured.

"You have incredible girls in this house. I can stay here for centuries." Martin said grinning which made him received a glare from Lucas and Xenon.

Adrian and Coby laughed at the scene.

"Yes?" She asked softly facing me.

"They were asking," I stated pointing to the boys.

"I'm sorry, what was it again?" She humbly asked.

Suddenly, Drena and Cassy walked out from the kitchen holding a tray of foods each of them. Coby and Adrian were fast to help them.

"Ahm, we were asking what are the laws written in the code of Tarre." Bryan asked.

"Oh, killing innocents is prohibited..." She humbly answered but her aura suddenly turned dark "Especially children." Her voice was hard.

Lucas immediately walked towards her and hold her hand.

She looked at him and her eyes turned soft as she smiled sweetly.

I bite my lower lip and my eyes suddenly traveled to see Xenon staring at me.

"That is one written law that shouldn't be done, anyone who does that is surely out of Tarre's control or hasn't yet reached their knowledge. But..." they watched her intensely with curiosity on their faces "They just ignored some of them as long as they are not a threat to their rulings. So, I'm definitely sure Tarre Family is not involved with Marco's doing." Her voice was dull.

"How did you know all of that?" Bryan suddenly asked.

"What's more important right now is, we knew that Tarre has nothing to do with Marco." Lucas immediately stated.

They all nodded and turned to look at Xenon.

"So... Blue Fire Gang?" Adrian asked.

"I'm not really sure of this... I can't stop thinking that they might betray us." Xenon stubbornly stated.

I sighed "They won't." He suddenly looked at me.

"We have no choice Xen, they're our hope," Martin said.

"Do you think we can persuade them to help us?" Bryan asked.

"We have nothing to lose if we try." Coby stated.

Xenon sighed "Fine. I'll try talking to them." Xenon stands up "This meeting is adjourned."

He walked towards me and grabbed my hand, dragging me upstairs.

"I see. Enjoy!" Coby yelled and the rest laugh.

I let him dragged me until he reached his room.

"Now, talk." He ordered the moment he closed the door.

"Talk? About what?" I innocently asked. Well, I totally knew what he wanted to convey.

He closed his eyes trying to calm his self and the moment he opened them,

"Claire... please don't keep me hanging." He walked towards his bed and sit on it. Sighing he said, "Tell me about yourself... you promised." He said looking intensely into my eyes.

I sighed "Fine." He motioned me to come closer towards him and so I did, the moment I reached him, he pulled me down to his lap.

"Better, now start." He stated softly.

I leaned to his chest and sniffed his scent, it calmed my monster. So, I turned myself back to the past.

"My life isn't that pretty entertaining you know. It's too... dark." After I said the word dark, I sensed him hardened.

"Everything about you Claire entertains me. You are my life, I hope you let me into your life as well." He kissed my forehead and so I closed my eyes and take a deep breath.

So, where should I start?

I opened my eyes "I was Six when my parents gave me to my Uncle... and I only have Sundays to see my mom."

"What happened then?" He humbly asked.

"I was homeschooled and Uncle became my teacher for the entire first and secondary level. The Martinez Grey Academy was the first school I've ever been to." Talking about that devil angers me but Xenon's presence soothes me.

I told him the truth and partly the reality.

"Did he treat you well?" He politely asked.

I stopped and didn't realize that I was holding his shirt too tight. Realizing it, I felt his aura turned dark.
