Arianna's jaw dropped,it took her minutes to process what he said but still in doubt.
"What are you saying?"she finally replied with a chuckle.
"Max is in love with you, am I right?"
"Well I don't know, I am kind of interested in how you found out about this claim?"
she raises an eyebrow in a questioning arch.
"I am a man too,I have seen your interaction severally and it's very obvious that he loves you".
Arianna remembered the fake boyfriend scene, was he actually confessing to her back then and decided to stop because she was freaking out.
"I told you this so you can make up your mind Arianna".
"And choose between you two?"
"No that's never been in my head,I can't give you a choice like that, max is my competition".
"Well he is not, i don't know his feelings for me but whatever he feels doesn't matter to me,i am in love with you not Max"arianna replied with a more serious face, more than she ever had on before.
She also noticed the little red stain on Andre's cold cheeks. He was trying hard not to show the good relief of her answer.
"Then when are you going to tell him?"
he asked, gaining back his serious cold face.
Arianna covered her face.
"Just give me a little time,it was supposed to be easy but now that you said that about him being in love with me,I might need more time to think of a way to say it to him".
Not satisfied with the answer,he just nodded and took his jacket.
"I will return to the office now, wait until everyone's home then i can come and get you".
Arianna nodded absent-mindedly.
she could tell he wasn't so happy about her decision to still keep their relationship private.
"Teddy, please trust me".
Andre stopped at the door and then turned slowly to face her.
"I trust you".
he mouthed and then walked a few paces to stand tall in front of her like a huge wall.
Arianna tilted her head backwards a little bit to stare up at him.
Andre stroked her chin, his fingers touching everywhere on her face as though he was measuring them.
"I have no problem with your decision, as long as he dares not touch my unicorn".
He stroked her lower lip then kissed her.
"I promise you he won't,he isn't like that".
Andre smirked.
"Better for him".
He turned to the door with one hand in his pocket, the other hanging his jacket on his shoulder and raising his hand in a wave before leaving the room.
When he returned to the office, Max approached him immediately. He rolled his eyes pissed because he was sure he was going to talk about Arianna to him.
he decided to play clueless about it and let his emotions be concealed instead of blasting him.
"Sir Andre, I have been trying to reach you, please may I have a word".
Andre stood tall in front of Max, he considered him a more serious competition than his brother, because Arianna genuinely cared about Max, the thought of it made his brow arched.
"What is it, Max benson?"
"Well sir, i would like us to talk inside your office".
he pleaded.

Jennifer broke into his thoughts, placing a large document in front of him while Max waited patiently.

Max stood in front of him, fingers crossed in hope of not getting sacked after talking to the ceo.

"It's about my friend and colleague sir,ms arianna, she didn't have the strength to come to work today because she was seriously sick,i called to confirm sir".
"How did you get employed in this company? you think this is something like a kindergarten, where my parents or guardian will come into the principal's office to plead about their kid's absence from school?"
Max bowed his head , ashamed of how things turned out.
"Why didn't she write to me,or my secretary about her so-called sickness?"
"Please sir, she is going through a lot of pain right now if you take this job away from her,it will make her more frustrated,she needs this job to take care of her beloved mother"Max pleaded.
