A SECOND CHANCE
Danielle nodded and walked out of the office, a few minutes later. The woman entered, the first thing Arianna noticed was her smile then her piercing blue ocean eyes gave her the glimpses of Andre. She had to blink and stood up with an awkward smile.
"Welcome, Mrs Julia"she stretched her hand.
The woman accepted warmly and thanked her.
"It's Ms .. separated".
"I..am sorry about that".
"It's okay,"she replied.
"Please do have a seat"Arianna gestured at the office chair in front of her desk as she folded her own length on her seat.
"So Ms Julia, how can I help you?".
She said unable to look up at her, her face made her feel so uncomfortable, she couldn't tell why exactly even though she could point to the exact similar eyes with Andre, she thought maybe it's her overthinking that's making her see those similarities.
"You have gorgeous hair, I also had short hair during my teen years till I was pregnant as an adult".
She said to Arianna, who blushed a little.
"Thanks but I just had it trimmed for some reason just a few days ago"she replied.
"Then you two have quite something in common, I grew out his hair as a baby because he was a beautiful boy with gorgeous hair. When he was four years,it would always be parked up in a ponytail until he got to thirteen,he cut them off by himself for some reasons too".
"Sorry...I..am lost"Arianna chuckled embarrassed.
"Oh ...my bad..sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier".
Julia snapped out.
Arianna smiled back and nodded.
"I am Julia, Andre's mother".
Arianna's face turned pale, she could have laughed that off or thought he got some woman hired to claim to be his mother but that's not possible not when this woman is a more feminine version of Andre's beautiful face.
That's why she saw him in her the moment she got inside the office.. Does this mean he made up with his mother..is she here because of their issues..this is a woman she had been dying to meet.
"My son told me about you and I must confess you look beautiful as he described, no wonder he was so much in love with you".
Arianna looked away and bit her lower lip then turned back to her and forced a smile.
"Ma'am please state your reason for coming,I have important things to attend to"Arianna said with a stern look on her face.
Andre's mother smiled back again,she had made up her mind no matter what happened she would not be offended.
"I want us to talk about you and Andre, just give me a chance to listen to your story too".
"I am not a storyteller ma'am,I am a designer and this is a company. I also have no relationship or business with your son. I will ask you to leave now or I will get the securities".
Arianna started taking the telephone.
Andre's mother eyes clouded
"Help me dearie please, as a mother this is the only way to redeem myself after 20 years and gain my son's love and trust back, he gave me a condition which is you,if I fail I will be out of his life forever,he is the only one I have, please I beg you, please,he came to me,it took him alot to make that decision, please help me and get my pride and a mother back"
She cried out hysterically.
Arianna's hands shook uncontrollably,she dropped the telephone, embarrassed.
"Look I am sorry but I can't help you ,if what you are asking is to go back with your son,I can't..".
"All I want is just a chance to talk with you....please I beg you, my only chance to be a mother again"she took Arianna's hands and cried.
Arianna pulled her hand from hers nervously and stood up .
"Fine , just to talk with you..and that's it...it doesn't mean I will return to your son, and please stop crying, clean yourself up,you make me feel bad".
"Thanks dearie,I am sorry if it's embarrassing,I don't know another way to convince you than pour out my heart".
"So where would it be?"
Arianna asked.
"My place, I presently run an orphanage home".
That melted Arianna's heart.

They arrived at the orphanage, Arianna was delighted to be welcomed by such beautiful souls,it's like they were told she was coming.
As soon as she stepped out of the cab, the kids ran out of the building. At first she thought they would hug Ms Julia but they came and hugged her. She almost lost her balance.
A young rev sister stood at the passageway smiling at them, Arianna noticed.
"Hellooo"one of the kids said to Arianna shyly.
"Oh hy".
She replied.
The kid giggled and hid behind a taller kid.
Arianna smiled at her cute reaction,she loosened up and carried the youngest in her arms.
Mrs Julia couldn't help smiling, of course a woman who could tame a stubborn mole like Andre could easily win a child's heart.
The other kids led her into their house, one even took her by the hand.
Arianna could only smile and blush whenever they looked at her admirably like she was some kind of royalty or important impersonality.
They got to the visitor's room and the kids waved at her before returning to their pray ground.
Arianna gently put down the little one in her arms, to join her big brothers and sisters.
"Welcome to our humble home not much ,but I hope you can manage"Ms Julia said warmly and sat down beside her.
"Please this is more than a home, those kids are angels, how beautiful and lovely they are".
"Sadly their parents didn't see the need to keep them, some of them were rejected by their fathers and their mother dropped them at the gate with notes".
That statement made Arianna's face paler, she touched her tummy absentmindedly.
