Flashback.

"Where are you going to?"

"I need to use the restroom, I'll be back" He said and she nod her head.

Just as Rasheed was out of her sight, she sit up straight and quickly pour the portion into the food. Immediately she was done, she quickly lie down back to her pretending of a sickness thing. Unknown to her that her husband saw her.

"What was Zuwairah doing with my food?" Rasheed thought. He finished his business and sauntered back to the bed. He took a sit beside his wife.

"Erm.. you're back?"

"Why are you doing this?" He asked going straight to the point,he doesn't even understand her anymore. First, she was acting strange since the day they got married to each other and now, she's ill? He was sure she was okay this morning, so why is she like this all of a sudden? And that thing she was pouring inside his food?-

"Why are you doing all of this Zuwairah? " he asked again.

"Wh..what do you mean?" She stuttered.

"Enough of the pretense Zuwairah! I saw you! I fucking saw you putting that thing in my food!" He bark scaring her.

"I..I... I'm...I..I'm sor-"

"You are not sick, were you?" He ask again cutting her off but Zuwairah couldn't even utter a word as fresh tears flow down her cheeks.

"You know, I can be touch by your tears few months back, but now? I don't think I can cause I don't even trust you anymore! Now tell me! Why..did..you..do..it? And what..the hell are..you..adding to my food!!" He said through gritted teeth.

"I'm sorry Rasheed" she said standing up as she suddenly kneel in front of him.

"I'm sorry, please forgive me my love" she cried.

"Your love?" He scoff.

"Did you just say your love? Zuwairah? You just call me your love? You knew I was your love and you keep denying me of my right for the past three month? You knew I was your love and you've never for once cook for me? You knew I was-"

"It wasn't my fault!" She cut him in between his statement with an apologetic look.

"Not your fault?" Rasheed scoff again.

"Then whose fault is it? Mine?! Coz if I could vividly remember, I've never for once wronged you!"

"You did! You did Rasheed! You lied to me! You..you told me you love me but you lied me! You had a wife with two kids but you hide it from me!"

"What?!" Rasheed asked in confusion.

"Yes Rash,don't pretend. You have a wife and kids but you lied to me and married me"

"Who fed you all this lies?" He's confuse but his wife is the most naive person he has ever known. Yes! He knew that she's not a social person but that doesn't mean she wouldn't have known if he truly has a wife and children. I'm one of the most richest billionaire in the whole world and everyone knows everything about me..so why can't she-

"Shit! Who told you all of this?"

"Zu...Zulaiha" she whispered.

"What?!!"

Fuck! Now I know where all the confusion is coming from. I can't believe that witch fed her this lies about me! She took advantage of her innocence.

"And then?"

"Then she gave me this love portion,she said it will make you love me more than your first wife"

"And?"

"And that's why I pretend to be sick,coz I know if I should try that on the dinning, many people might eat so i-"

"You're a big fool Zuwairah! She..she was only deceiving you!"

"What?! No! I saw everything? " she tried to defend her self and her friend.

"What do you mean you saw everything? " he ask with a scrunch brow.

She told him all what she saw in her dream and how she comes to know that the vision stuff they gave her was true.

"Oh my God! You're so naive!" He muttered before dragging her up and make her sit on his lap.

"What is he doing?" Zuwairah thought "wasn't he suppose to be angry with me? Then, why is he been this sweet?"

He placed his lip close to her ear "My baby is so naive I swear" he said in his husky voice, which makrs her to shiver.

"It felt so good to be in his arms" she thought closing her eyes for a while.

"So you mean you believe everything she told you than your own husband?"

"I..I'm.. I-"

"It was all lies love"

"But-"

"Shut up and listen to me" he said in an authoritative tone.

"You know, a month after out wedding, your friend came to me"

"She came to you?"

"Yes, she told me to fuck her"

"What?!!"

"She said she loved me and she was only pretending back then. She wanted me to be her fucking buddy behind your back but I told her I'm honest with you and I can't cheat on you. She got angry that day, and left leaving behind a certain statement 'you'll regret turning me down' and I gave her a reply of 'good luck' "

"But-"

"What if I tell you now that this is not a love portion but a poison?"

"What?! No! It can't be true! She can never ask me to kill my own husband "

"So do you still want me to eat the food then?"

"No!!" She exclaim out of fear. "What if Rasheed is really saying the truth?" She thought.

"So do you trust me now. If I say, it's a poison?"

"Y..yes" she whispered softly. She's still not that comfortable. His lip was touching her ear which is not helping the matter at all.

"And that I never had a wife or any kids?"

"Yes I do...and I'm sorry Rasheed,I'm so sorry for believing her over you"

"It's fine,but that doesn't mean I forgive you coz I'll still punish you for what you did,but that's for another day. Right now, you need to finish what you started"

"What I started?"

"Yes,I'll have to die" he said with a normal shrug.

"No! You can't die! I'm sorry I choose her over you and I'll never repeat the same mistake please" Zuwairah begged.

"That's not what I meant babe. I mean, we will have to fake my death so we could expose her,if we try to arrest her this way, she might deny it since we don't have a proof"

"So what do we do now?"

"I will pretend to be dead and the acting starts now.. Okay? "

"O..okay "

"And thank God my son saw everything, he would have been dead by now! " Rasheed's mom said eyeing Zulaiha from head to toe.

"But you guys don't have proof" she stubbornly said.

"Well not everyone is so stupid like you, here is everything you said with your mouth and everything is recorded here" Zuwairah said showing her the small tape in her hand.

"They are here " Habib said as three police men entered the room.

Zuwairah gave them the tape as they handcuff Zulaiha's hand and tried to take her away.

"You can't just arrest me! You should arrest her too! She tried to kill her husband! we planned it together,leave me alone! " she shout as she tried to wiggle her self from their grips.

"I swear to God, you'll all regret doing this to me! Don't think this is over Zuwairah! Rasheed is mine and mine alone! I'll never share him with any body! You can't snatch him away from me!" With that been said, the officers drag her out of the house.

"Good riddance" Habiba muttered under her breathe.

"Zuwairah! you're a disgrace to our family gaskiya! How could you try to murdered your own husband? " her Mother scolded.

"Walahi Mama ban sa ni ba...I never knew it was a poison"

"Please don't scold her,she's still naive that's why" her .mother in law said defending Zuwairah.

"You should be thankful to Allah that you're so blessed with such a good family,they all stood by you even after everything that you've done. From today onwards, I want to hear nothing but good things about you! Kinji ko?"

"Yes Baba, naji"

"We will like to take our leave now"

"No please! Why don't you stay and let eat lunch together, since this is afternoon already"

"Toh, if you say so" Zuwairah's mom answered with a smile.
