Tara's body was breathing heavily on top of me. Not telling her what was going through my head when I was lying alone in my bed and thinking about her was more than difficult for me right now. you on me you under me. Me behind her, were the harmless things. It was so risky giving myself to her, or asking her to do it.
At any moment I expected someone to burst through the door and rip me to pieces, but nothing happened. It stayed silent. I didn't know how far we could go.
It was like walking on a tightrope that my adrenaline was still pumping through my veins minutes later.
"Are you okay, Pebble?" My words were more of a whisper than a question. Or a question for me. Her breathing quickened for a few seconds before calming down and her little nose digging deeper into my neck.
"I want to hear you're okay." I had to. It wasn't something I had even remotely pictured in my head for the next few weeks. Maybe, I was hoping, after a few weeks, but not today, not on day one.
"Never better," she murmured, nestling deeper into my shoulder. Even if I went up in smoke now, her words were like a blessing.
"Let me see your eyes." She lifted her head and there was no regret in her eyes. There wasn't a shred of regret in her eyes beneath her curls that cascaded cheekily over her face.
"If you kiss me, I'll order the food," I grinned at her. Trevor had already said an hour ago that he would be late. I was glad it was him. However, he couldn't be far away.
"So that's what I'm expecting? A kiss for something to eat?" Tara grinned cheekily at me.
"Just for today, Pebble. Starting tomorrow, you'll be begging me to kiss you even with a full stomach." I kissed her forehead and lifted her up.
"And the day after tomorrow?" she murmured, giving me a cheeky look as she got up. I couldn't believe how lucky I was. I was so scared that she rejected me again. But she stood before me and she was mine.
"The day after tomorrow you're going to ask me to fuck you before breakfast," I slipped out. Her lips curled into a small smile that I couldn't read. I had overstepped the mark. There were definitely too many fantasies building up in my head.
She turned and walked to the dormitories without saying anything. She disappeared from view and I rubbed my temples hard. My heart just pumped all the blood out of my veins as if afraid to keep beating.
"So, before breakfast," I suddenly heard her voice chirp. "Then I'm looking forward to the day after tomorrow," she whispered and slammed the door behind her with a loud bang. I ran to the room she had chosen. How fitting that it was my bedroom.
"After that, you'll always want it, no matter where we are and how inappropriate it seems to you." I leaned my head against the door and heard the soft giggle she was trying to hide. I listened to her heart beating way too fast, but it couldn't keep up with mine. Never.
"I'll see you at dinner," she exclaimed, walking away from the door. Oh yes we would and she was my dessert.
I walked back into the living room, glancing across the room and back in the direction Tara had gone. I expected everything. That she gets angry or disappointed when I tell her who I was. That she needed time, even if she accepted it, but definitely not with it. I was sorting the pillows on the sofa when I heard a car pull up.
"We're here, put some clothes on!" I heard Trevor laugh in my head.
"I'm not as fast as you," I shot back. After that it was dead quiet. Good this way.
"Tara!" I called her. "Trevor and Jade are here." Tara immediately rushed into the living room. Her hair was soaking wet, covered only with a towel and there was a small puddle under her feet.
"My stuff?!" I shrugged and she gestured wildly towards the door. Our suitcases were still in front of the house. I let my gaze slide over her, enjoying the way her cheeks blushed and that she didn't take her eyes off me in shame.
Instead, she tossed her wet hair over her shoulder and gave me a cheeky grin. "I sit at the table like that too," she laughed, and I reflexively shook my head.
"I'll remind you in the morning. Take something from my closet," I replied quickly as I heard the car doors slam.
"That doesn't make it any better either," she gritted her teeth.
"For me it is," Her eyes narrowed and a mischievous grin crept across her lips that I was about to send Trevor away and drag her to my bedroom. She disappeared the next moment when there was a knock on the door.
I looked back to where Tara was standing in a towel and heard her swearing in my bedroom. She came back quicker than I expected and I couldn't believe my eyes.
She had tied her wet hair in a ponytail and tightened her belt around my jeans and rolled up her pant legs. The shirt she was wearing was way too big and she wasn't wearing a bra.
I ignored the door and stormed into my room. I saw her bra lying in front of my closet and I wanted to spank her butt.
"Is something wrong?" Tara appeared in the doorway and leaned against him. She knew exactly what she was doing. I grabbed a sweatshirt from the closet and threw it at her.
"We'll talk about that," I growled at her and walked past her. Just the thought of it would distract me for the whole evening.
"I hope so," she called after me and I stopped. I heard her footsteps behind me and felt her arms around my waist.
"How do I look?" she whispered against my back. I turned to her and looked at her beautiful face. The cheeky little nose, the innocent looking eyes behind which something was lurking that I didn't yet know how to hold back.
"You look good," I murmured, planting a small kiss on her nose.
"Fucked," she grinned. Tara gave me an embarrassed grin, but something else was lurking behind her eyes. It was desire and lust, something I had buried deep inside for the last few months and within a day she dug it all up again.
That's it. I would burn their suitcases today. Hold her here and refuse her to order anything on the internet. The look on her face was just priceless.
I never expected her to take it so easily when I threw a dirty sentence at her. But she lectured me within seconds that she had the better answer and that only enraged my wolf even more.
"Not yet, Pebble," I growled.
"It's a shame, then I would at least have an excuse when I open the door now," she said. She literally left me open-mouthed, walked over to the door and opened it without hesitation.
Trevor and Jade holding bags in front of it. They were probably planning to stay long or had brought food for the next week. Both tried to look relaxed and innocent, but the grin in their eyes slowly stole over the rest of their faces.
"I never thought I would ever see your house," he laughed, storming past Tara and me. He put the bags down and I took off the remaining jade. He looked in all directions and then at Jade, who he beckoned over.
Jade was an impressively strong woman, but always a bit reserved and distant, at first glance. She rightly smiled at many alphas who acted in front of her and showed them in combat training how easy they were to get laid. To her, size and strength were relative. Well one size obviously not.
Jade might always be dead serious about everything, but here, away from uni, there was no reason to be. She's changed since we got on the plane. I could see right away that she knew what was going on here.
Trevor, on the other hand, didn't care. The world was colorful for him. If it wasn't colorful enough, he painted it on. His carefree attitude was so contagious that I sometimes thought he had too much of Taylor, who could top everything he did.
Trevor was always a mess. A few hours ago it looked like we had flown around the world for four days. But now he looked like it had been twenty days and Jade, Jade, to my surprise, was in no way inferior to him. Suddenly I didn't care what they thought about us.
Jade rubbed her hair in embarrassment and just pointed her finger up and down at me like she was reading my mind. That was probably the sign that I should shut up.
She ran straight to Tara and pulled her with her. Embarrassment was suddenly written all over their faces. I wondered for a moment, but when I saw Tara's eyes flashing excitedly at Jade, I knew I didn't have to worry.
"This is an exception. You'll never set foot in this house again," I turned to Trevor. He just looked at me in amusement and strolled around and unpacked the shopping bags.
"I don't think so. Tara likes Jade and therefore me too. Jade likes it here. I won't refuse her any wish and I don't think Tara either." As a matter of course he opened a few drawers and cupboards and dug out plates, glasses and cutlery.
"Looks like you're not wearing those pants any more than I am. Judging from the fact that she's wearing yours." He pushed the dishes in front of me and I would love to teach him better than that, but I was just as satisfied with how everything was and would control myself not to throw him out after all.
"Jade doesn't wear yours," I snapped.
"That just says you didn't catch on as quickly as I did," he replied, offended.
"Think what you want. I'm not stealing your last glimmer of hope, Trevor." I grabbed the dishes and heard Trevor cursing behind me. I suddenly didn't care. If I hadn't even let him near my house for the past few months, none of that matters anymore.
All I saw was my mate's slightly flushed cheeks and that she was there. Here with me.
