~Bella's POV~

"How do I look?" I inquired of Sandra, who was engrossed in applying makeup on her face.

Sandra paused her task, shifting her attention towards me. Her eyes carefully scrutinized my attire—a black knee-length gown adorned with shimmering diamond stones—before she offered a reassuring thumbs up.

"You look absolutely stunning in that dress," she complimented.

"Are you sure?" I questioned, a hint of uncertainty creeping into my voice.

"Trust me, Bella. When you step into that party, Professor Blake won't be able to tear his eyes away from you," she affirmed, prompting a small smile to grace my lips as I envisioned the scenario.

"If you say so," I chuckled softly, swiftly slipping into a pair of matching black high-heeled shoes. With a deep breath, I completed the ensemble.

"Wow!" Sandra exclaimed, her admiration evident. "You look exceptionally gorgeous. If I were a man, If I were a guy, I'd be falling over myself to ask you out."

I chuckled at Sandra's playful remark, feeling a surge of confidence wash over me. It was nice to hear such compliments, especially when I was feeling a bit unsure about my appearance.

"Thanks, Sandra," I said with a grateful smile. "Your confidence in me means a lot."

As Sandra and I finished getting ready, anticipation buzzed in the air. The prospect of attending Professor Blake's party was exciting, but there was still a lingering nervousness within me. I took a moment to straighten my dress and adjust my shoes, trying to calm my racing heart.

Sandra glanced at her watch. "We still have some time before we need to head out," she said, breaking the silence. "Why don't we sit down for a bit and relax?"

I nodded in agreement, grateful for the suggestion. We settled onto the couch in the living room, surrounded by the soft glow of candles and the faint scent of perfume lingering in the air.

Sandra poured us each a glass of wine, and we began to chat about anything and everything, allowing the conversation to ease our nerves. Then I suddenly remembered that we didn't know professor Blake's house address.

"Sandra, how are we gonna get to the party?" I asked.

"I don't understand," Sandra said with a confused expression on her face.

"I mean, the party will be taking place at professor Blake's place and we don't know his address, so how are we gonna get there?" I asked.

"I don't know where he lives, so maybe you should give him a call and ask for his address," she suggested.

"No, I don't wanna call him," I replied quickly.

"Why?" She asked, raising a questioning brow at me.

"Nothing," I replied. "I just don't wanna call him. Maybe you should ask him for the address."

"Whatever. I'll message professor Blake on Whatsapp and ask for his address," Sandra took out her phone. She operated her phone for a few seconds before returning her gaze back to me. Then she said, "I've gotten the address."

"That was fast," I said, clearly surprised at how fast Sandra got a reply from professor Blake.

Sandra chuckled before shifting the conversation, then we began talking about other stuff. And before we knew it, it was time to leave for the party. As we gathered our things and headed out the door, I couldn't shake off the excitement bubbling inside me. The thought of seeing Professor Blake at the party was both nerve-wracking and exhilarating.

We boarded a taxi which smoothly conveyed us to the part venue, which was professor Blake's apartment. Sandra settled the fare, and then we alighted from the vehicle afterwards.

My eyes widened in astonishment at the sight of professor Blake's apartment. It was really bigger than I had imagined, and the exterior looked really beautiful and captivating. It was decorated with bright lights, which made the environment look like it was daytime.

Dozens of people were outside the apartment, chatting and naughty stuffs like kissing, touching and... I bet you know the rest. From where Sandra and I stood, we could hear the loud music coming from inside the apartment.

"This is gonna be so fun, Bella!" Sandra exclaimed with a wide smile across her face.

"I hope so," I muttered, then we began approaching the front door, which was widely opened.

Once we entered inside the apartment, the lively atmosphere of the party enveloped us. Music filled the air, mingling with laughter and conversation.

I scanned the room, searching for Professor Blake amidst the throng of guests. It didn't take long before I spotted him, surrounded by a group of women, his charm evident even from a distance.

Summoning my courage, I squared my shoulders and walked towards him, Sandra's supportive presence bolstering my confidence. As we drew nearer, Professor Blake's gaze shifted towards us, his smile warm and inviting.

Suddenly, a wave of nervousness washed over me as I met his gaze. I couldn't pinpoint the exact reason for my sudden unease—perhaps it was his striking appearance or the intensity of his smile—but regardless, I found myself inexplicably flustered in his presence.

Professor Blake stood out amidst the crowd with his effortlessly fashionable attire. He opted for a stylish black leather jacket over a fitted black t-shirt, paired with faded jeans and black Chelsea boots.

A silver chain necklace and a statement watch completed his look, adding a touch of flair to his casual yet refined ensemble. With his tousled hair and stubbled jawline, he exuded a rugged charm that made him instantly approachable amidst the eclectic mix of partygoers.

"Bella, Sandra, so glad you could make it," Professor Blake greeted us warmly, his handsome smile never faltering.

My heart skipped a beat at the sight of his smile, and I couldn't help but mirror it with one of my own. There was something about the way he looked at me that made me feel special. I had the feeling that tonight was going to be unforgettable.

"Thank you for inviting us, Professor Blake," I replied, trying to keep my voice steady despite the fluttering in my chest.

Sandra nudged me playfully, a knowing twinkle in her eye. "Yeah, thanks for having us," she added with a grin.

"No problem," Professor Blake said, his gaze lingering on me.

Caught in the intensity of his dazzling eyes, I found myself drawn deeper into the moment, oblivious to everything else around us. It was as if time had slowed to a standstill, and there was nothing in the world except for the connection between us.

The warmth of his gaze enveloped me, sending shivers down my spine as a surge of anticipation coursed through my veins. In that fleeting moment, it felt as though we were the only two people in the room, lost in our own private world of unspoken understanding.

I felt my heart race as Professor Blake closed the distance between us. My breath caught in my throat as I watched him lean in, his words sending a thrill down my spine. "Meet me outside, sweetheart. I have something for you," he whispered, his voice barely audible over the din of the party.

With a step back, he broke the spell, striding past me and out of the house. I took a moment to compose myself, swallowing hard before turning to Sandra, who stood nearby.

"I'll be right back," I uttered, forestalling any questions she might have had, before swiftly following Professor Blake outside. But as I stepped into the night air, he was nowhere to be seen.

Panic bubbled up within me as I scanned the crowd, searching desperately for any sign of him. "He told me to meet him outside, so where could he be?" I muttered to myself, my heart pounding in my chest.

Navigating through the throngs of people, I made my way to a secluded corner of the house, where I spotted two figures standing in the shadows. Though their faces were obscured by the darkness, I could discern the outline of a man and a woman.

Instinctively, I turned to leave, but before I could retreat, the man spoke. His voice sent a jolt of recognition through me, and I froze in place, realizing with a sinking feeling that it was none other than Professor Blake, and he was with another woman, in a secluded corner. What could this mean?
