Chapter 11
Dakota POV
The workday goes by slow. I spend the entire day thinking about Tonya and Melanie. I cannot seem to shake the thought of either of the women that are presently interested in me. I have to let Melanie down easily tonight. She has been a real bitch to me, but I cannot be that guy to anyone, not even her.
Tonya did not come to the pool today. I was assigned to the beach area but could see everyone coming in and out of the pool. There was no sign of Tonya or her friends today. I did not see her in her usual spot on the beach either. I wonder what she has been up to all day.
I shower after work and get ready to go meet up with Melanie. My phone dings it is Tonya. *I had to go into the office, but I should be back by eight if not, I left you a key on the patio under my favorite place to have you in me* I text her back *see you soon*
I put on my denim shorts and a tee shirt. I check my hair in the mirror. My damn hair is getting shaggy. I need to cut it. I look good, not to go meet up with Melanie. I go down to the bar to wait on her.
I sit in the bar drinking beer, waiting on Melanie. After an hour, I decide she is not coming. I think I will go to Tonya’s and wait for her to get back. As I go to leave, Melanie comes into the bar.
“Sorry, I had a lot going on today,” Melanie says.
“You could have text or called,” I say to her.
“Yeah, I guess I could have, but as I said, I was busy,” Melanie says.
“I was about to leave. Maybe we can have this conversation another time,” I say to her.
“No, I want to have it now,” Melanie says.
“Okay, then let’s have it so I can go,” I say to her.
“I do not know what to say. I only want to spend some time with you and get to know you better,” Melanie says.
“I think we know each other well enough, but you always seem to find a reason to push me to the side,” I say to her.
“So now you have moved on with some whore,” Melanie says.
“She is not a whore,” I say to Melanie.
“It sounded like it to me,” Melanie says.
“I am not going to sit here and listen to this. By Melanie,” I say to her.
I get up from the bar, and Melanie begins to cry. She has torn me apart for the last time. I walk away from her.
I walk down the beach headed for Tonya’s when Melanie comes up from behind me. She grabs my arm to stop me. “Please talk to me,” Melanie says.
“Is it the rejection from me that is making you crazy?” I ask her.
“I do not think so,” Melanie says.
“You were never interested until I rejected you,” I say to her.
Melanie still has a hold of my arm. I shake my arm loose from her. “Let go of me,” I say to her. She stands in front of me, looking at me crazy.
“I want to see you,” Melanie screams at me.
I walk away from her as she screams at me. I cannot deal with this drama right now. I keep walking until I get to Tonya’s beach house. I go on the patio and take the key from under the lounger. I open the door and go into the house to wait. I check the time it is only seven p.m.
I grab a beer out of the refrigerator and go back to the couch. Tonya keeps her house immaculate. I have never been in a place this damn clean before. I pull out my phone to see if she has to text me, but she has not. I am exhausted from my early day. I finish the beer and throw it in the trash bin. I decide to take a nap on Tonya’s couch. Maybe when I wake up, she will be on top of me.
I awake, slightly groggy. I feel the weight of a person on me. I open my eyes, and it is Melanie. She is on top of me naked. She followed me here. She has unzipped my pants and working on getting me inside her. I push her off of me. “What the fuck is wrong with you?” I ask her.
Melanie sits on the floor crying. I zip up my pants and adjust myself. This stupid bitch has lost her damn mind. “Get your clothes on and get out of here before Tonya gets home!” I yell at her.
She sobs as she puts on her clothes. “I do not understand why you do not want me?” Melanie questions me.
I open the door for her to leave. As she is making her way out the door, Tonya pulls up to see the scene. Tonya is out of her car quickly and at the door.
“What the fuck is going on?” Tonya asks. She looks over at Melanie, who is crying.
“It is not what you think. I will explain as soon as this idiot leaves,” I say to Tonya.
“Melanie, I presume,” Tonya says.
Tonya shakes her head and goes into the house.
“Leave; you have caused enough trouble,” I say to her.
Melanie leaves. I can hear her sobbing as she walks down the bitch. I go into the house expecting Tonya to be pissed off, but she is not mad at all.
“Did you fuck her on my couch?” Tonya asks.
“No, she tried, but I told her no,” I answer her.
“What is her deal?” Tonya asks.
“She followed me here. I was taking a nap, and when I woke up, she was in the house,” I say to Tonya.
“Sounds like she is a little crazy,” Tonya says.
“Yeah, I think she had a little to drink and was having a hard time with my rejection,” I say to Tonya.
“That could be it. If I were you, I would smooth it over tomorrow. That way, you don’t have any hard feelings between you,” Tonya says.
“You think I should talk to her after what she did tonight?” I ask Tonya.
“Yes, you said she had been drinking and was acting out of character. Let her apologize and remain friends. That is all I am saying,” Tonya says.
“I think you are right,” I say.
“Enough about her, it is my time now, and I want you naked,” Tonya says.
“Oh, you do. How about I make you a Tom Collins and get you naked,” I say to her.
“Sounds good to me, I need to put these files away, and then I am all yours,” Tonya says.
I go to the patio to make her a drink. I look back, and she is putting away her files. She sees me watching her. She stops what she is doing and begins removing her clothes. I take her the Tom Collins. She takes it from me. While she is taking her first sip, I start undressing for her. I cannot wait to be inside her tonight.
