Chapter 25
Tonya POV
Well, that did not go as I had planned, but it is okay. Dakota will come crawling back to me, or I will make his life a living hell. I know everyone at that damn resort. I will make sure he can never work on this beach or in the city again. I will have his ass sent out of here and banned from the beach. How dare he walk out on me? I would not have had to enlist that stupid little bitch Melanie if he would have just kept his cock to himself. But hell no, he had to talk to this whore and that whore. He was supposed to be mine for the summer, not out fucking around and trying to fall in love with every cunt that showed him some attention.
I will let his ass think for a minute, but he better have his ass right back here to me, or he will pay dearly for abandoning me. I can and will make his existence a living hell here on this damn beach.
I go out to my patio. I grab the sour mix and rum. I put it in the shaker to make myself a drink. I pour it into a glass and add ice. I sit down on my lounger. I can hear my phone ringing, but I am not answering or talking to anyone right now. I will wait to see what happens. I am sure Melanie will be blowing up my phone, wanting to know what to do about Dakota. That stupid little bitch just had to spill it all to him, I am sure of it. I will deal with her ass later.
I try to enjoy my drink and decide how to proceed, but my phone is ringing nonstop. I get out of the lounger and stroll to my cell phone that is in the kitchen on charge. I take it off charge and look to see how the fuck keeps calling. It is Melanie. She has called back to back. She has sent 27 text messages.
I select her name and call her back. The phone rings only once, and she answers the phone.
“Well, Tonya, he doesn’t hate me anymore,” Melanie says.
“Of course he does not hate you, my dear sweet girl, you told him everything, you stupid bitch. Trust me; he will hate you when I finish with you both!” I scream into the phone.
I hang up on her, and she calls me back. I do not answer; I do not have time for her or this bullshit right now. I have to figure out how to make this all her fault.
Melanie begins texting me *I am sorry. I did not know what to do* I do not respond. I have to think.
I go into my bedroom. I go into the closet and find something sexy to wear. I am going to the resort bar. He will be there with his coworkers, and I will ignore him. Maybe I will bring one of his coworkers or a bar patron back to my beach house to fuck tonight. That will get under his skin for sure. I will handle Jade tomorrow. I will make sure that bitch never wants to speak to him again.
I slip into a short skirt and a button-up top. I grab my heeled sandals out of the closet. I go into the bathroom to curl my hair and lightly apply some makeup. I pull half of my hair up and twist the bottom half of my hair. I leave a few curls around my face. I apply lip gloss, and I am ready to go to the resort bar.
I grab my purse off of the kitchen table and my cell phone. I go out the side door and down the steps to the beach. I start my walk to the beach resort bar. I take my time getting there, watching the waves crash against the water. It is beautiful out here in the late evening.
I walk up the steps to the resort bar and go into the bar seating area. I take a seat away from the bar. I want to see him before he sees me. There are already several of his coworkers at the bar drinking beer.
I call the waitress over to order a drink and wait for her to bring it back. As I am waiting, I see him coming down the steps to the bar. I knew he would not stay away from the resort bar tonight when he is so upset. He wants to drink and probably talk shit about me to his coworkers. Let him. When it is all said and done, I will come out of this smelling like roses, Dakota.
The waitress brings me back my drink and informs me that a gentleman at the bar paid for it. I tip her the cost of the drink and wave at the man at the bar who bought my drink.
Dakota sees me. He gives me an angry look and goes to the end of the bar with his coworkers. I act like I do not notice him at all. I continue to sip my drink and watch the water. The man that bought my drink comes over to sit with me.
“Can I sit with you,” he asks.
“Sure,” I say.
He sits down across from me.
“You got a name?” I ask him.
“Heath,” he says.
“Well, Heath, what brings you to the bar tonight?” I ask him.
“I work here, and you?” Heath asks.
“I live down the beach. I like to come here sometimes at night, and people watch,” I say to Heath.
“I see,” Heath says.
“What do you do here?” I ask Heath.
“I am head of security,” Heath says.
This is perfect. I need this man in my life to help me fuck up Dakota’s perfect little existence.
“That sounds interesting,” I say.
“It can occasionally be,” Heath says.
I look back over toward the bar. Dakota is watching my conversation. I move closer to Heath.
“So, Heath, you want to take a little walk on the beach?” I ask him.
“Sure, you want another drink before we go?” Heath asks.
“No, I have a bar on my patio if you want to walk that far,” I say to him.
“I would love to walk that far with you,” Heath says.
Heath and I begin to leave the bar. We make it to the steps when Dakota rushes over to us.
“She is evil, Heath; watch yourself,” Dakota says to Heath.
Heath gives him a strange look. Dakota backs down and returns to the bar.
“What the hell was all of that about?” I ask Heath.
“You know these dumbass kids that got working here at the resort; they are always saying stupid shit when they are drunk. I will handle him tomorrow. Tonight you are my only concern,” Heath says.
“Good, then let’s go,” I say to him.
We continue our walk down to the beach. I can hear Dakota raising hell from behind us. It serves you right, you little fucker; you will pay dearly for fucking with me.
