Parvati POV.
I couldn't stand here anymore. I don't have any hope that he will resist me. I wiped my tears from the backside of my palm. I opened the door to go away from him. But Vinay and Swathi were standing there.
Vinay: where are you going Parvati??
Parvati: Ask him. I am leaving from here.
Swathi: what happened?? Why are you crying?? What happened Ajith??
Silence...
I moved away from them. I don't want to stand there. I climbed down the stairs.
Vinay: Parvati.......
He came and stood blocking my way.
Vinay: where are you going like this. There must be some misunderstanding please do clear out. Don't go like this. It doesn't look appropriate.
Parvati: There is no misunderstanding to clear Bhai. Everything is finished. He clearly doesn't want me. He doesn't value my presence anymore. If I am with him or not.
Swathi: it's late Parvati. Please don't go at this time. It's getting dark.
Vinay: please Parvati don't go in this dark that to in this abounded area. You can't find any help here. Please don't go. Where ever you want to go I will drop you tomorrow early morning. But not now.
Swathi: yes Parvati. Please don't go. Come stay with me in my room. Vinay will be with Ajith.
She dragged me towards her room. She took my bag and gave me one set of clothes.
Swathi: here take this go and change first.
I took my time. Seeing my resemble in the mirror. I see the lady with smudge sindoor on her forehead, Tear's stained face, red eyes, and nose, lips are trembling. Mangalsutra hanging on neck. Displaced saree.
I cleaned myself. I came out. I saw Swathi seating with a plate of food. Mostly she waiting for me.
Swathi: come to have dinner.
Parvati: I don't want.
Swathi: why are you punishing the small stomach because of your mind. Come on have it. Don't be a child.
She was feeding me forcefully.
Author POV.
Meanwhile in Ajith's room.
Vinay closed the door after entering with a plate of food. He saw Ajith who is seating on the bed holding his head. He went to him and moved his hand. Ajith lifted his face up.
Ajith: I was so happy that amma got her memory back, but it was just for a fraction. She told me that I use her. How can she think like that? I love her.....I...
Vinay stopped him. He took a plate and forwarded a morsel to him.
Vinay: you don't need to explain to me. You need to explain it to her. I know this is all new for you. But let me tell you. The girl sacrifices everything for her men. She lives her family and trust stranger. She undergoes everything. She herself submit to us. She blindly trusts us. We men should be careful with them. They are our responsibility. We should protect them but not to defect them. But in the case of Parvati, she doesn't know the word family or love. She is all alone in this world. She believes you Ajith. You are the only one for her. Where she will go?? Without you. Think about her. Think about her strugglings. Think about her sacrifice. Think about her love for you. I hope you will get your answers when you think from her perspective.
Vinay cleared the plate. And went out. After sometime Swathi and Vinay came to the room.
Swathi: oye Romeo leave the room. I want to sleep with my husband. Get out.
Vinay: go and talk to her. She is sleeping in our room.
Swathi: Vinay my legs are hurting.
Vinay: well let me massage them.
Ajith left his room and went to Parvati. He was debating whether to go inside or not. With a lot of courage, he went inside. He saw her sleeping turning her back to him. He knows she is not sleeping but crying silently. He locked the door softly without making any noise. He removed his shoes and went beside her.
Parvati POV.
The other side of the bed dipped. Soon I was pulled gently with the familiar arms. I stayed mute. He hugged me tightly. We stayed like that.
Ajith: I didn't want you to take stressed because of me. Even if I said my plan to you. You would not allowed me to do. So I didn't tell you. I am sorry.
Parvati: I don't need your sorry. Go away from me. I hate you. You don't disclose anything to me. You maintain a secret with me. The secret is maintained with strangers, not with the wife.
Ajith: I told you right. I don't want you to get tensed so. Even if I informed would you allow me to take this step? Tell me??
Parvati: No. Not at all. You all what I have. I don't want to risk your life. What if anything happens to you?? I can't breathe without you.
Ajith: so only I didn't disclose. But I promise from now on I will tell everything to you. Please forgive me. Please don't leave me. How can I live without you?
Parvati: I will forgive you. But I am going. If I leave you once. You get to know what you did to me.
He got stunned by reply.
Ajith: Noooo. I realized. Please don't leave me.
Such a sweet hubby I have. He controls his anger for me. So only sweet hubby I have.
I didn't reply to him. I slept on his chest. Hugging him tightly.
