I came outside the washroom. That's when my eyes went to the door and I was startled to see Alex in front of me. We kept staring at each other for a while but then a tear rolled from my eyes. I quickly wiped them off.

"Sano," he mumbled. I feel pain in his voice. He came towards me with stumbling steps. I look at him confusingly. He was about to fall but I quickly held him and that's when I smelled alcohol coming from his mouth and clothes.

"Alex, Are you drunk?" I asked, widening my eyes. He smiled weakly and nodded his hand. I made him stand straight and pushed him away.

"Why?" I growled.

"That's my question Sana" He muttered and pulled me closer to him, holding my arm.

"Leave my hand" I frowned and tried to get rid of my hand but he tightened his grip.

"Why?" He asked looking into my eyes and a tear rolled from his eyes.

"Alex" my eyes softened seeing his tears. I kept my hand on his cheeks and wiped his tears.

"Why didn't you come? I was waiting for you. Max was telling me that you won't come but still, I was waiting for you. Why Sana? why didn't you come?" he asked, pulling me closer, not leaving any space, not even for air.

"My mind was saying that you won't come but I was listening to my heart, believing my love for you that you will come and you didn't. you proved me wrong. Why?" he asked, tightening his grip around my arms. I started feeling pain in my foot and I'm sure blood was oozing out of my injury but it seemed like it was nothing in front of the pain seeing tears in his eyes.

"Please say something," he muttered.

"Because you're proving my every fear to be right," I answered and freed my hand from his grip.

"Sano"

"You are hurting me again and again. You broke my trust again. You betrayed me again. Again I was coming to you and you back out. again... you're proving my all insecurities and fear to be true. You got angry whenever I compare you with Richard but you're doing the same what he did to me, breaking my trust, coming to our room after getting drunk, and believe me I won't be surprised if you force yourself on me" I yelled not noticing what I'm uttering in anger

"Sana" He frowned and raised his hand, almost about to slap me but stopped his hand midway. I look at him with devastating eyes and then at his hand. Even he was shocked and pulled his hand down.

"Sano, I don't know how this happened. I'm... I'm sorry" He mumbled.

"Why did you stop? hit me.. that's not the worst thing you can do because more than this you break my trust and my heart" I said and turned my face to the other side. He held my arms and turned my face towards him, holding my chin with the other hand.

"Sano, I'm sorry... I didn't want to hurt you." He whispered coming close to my face but I distanced myself.

"I can't bear this alcohol smell" I pushed him away.

"It's all because of this alcohol that I raised my hand" He whispered to himself and then looked at me. He was about to come near me but I distanced myself.

"You lose all your rights over me by raising your hand, '' I said.

"Sano, please don't say that" He mumbled.

"Then what should I say, Alex... you destroyed everything between us. I was trying Alex. I wanted to give a chance to our relationship." I said honestly. "What was my mistake? was my mistake to ask for time from you" I asked, trying my best not to get broken down in front of him.

"Why do you do this to me?" I asked and a tear rolled down my eyes. "You know what Alex? In everything, I came to know one thing we are not meant for together because destiny always does something to separate us and we hurt each other" I said and looked towards him. He stumbled but before he could fall, I held his hand and made him sit on the bed.

"Maybe you're right... I always end up hurting you. You deserve better than me. Far better than me" He muttered and looked at me. "Dominic would have killed me for even thinking to do something like this. Even I want to die before saying those words to you" He mumbled and my heartbeat rose with his words.

"Alex"

"If your happiness is in staying away from me then fine." He took a deep breath and released it. He closed his eyes and clutched the bed sheet. I closed my eyes understanding the meaning behind his words and actions.

"I Alpha of moon pack, Alex reject"

"Alpha" Before he could complete Max interrupted him. I opened my eyes and a tear rolled from my eyes. I was breathing heavily and my heartbeat was at a high pace. I look towards the door. Max was standing there.

"I'm sorry to interrupt you Alpha but you're not in your sense and taking such a major decision of your life in such condition is not good and as your beta, it's my duty to warn, guide, or stopped you if it's not a good decision for you and your pack," He said and bowed his head in respect. I turned my race to the other side, not wanting Max to see my tears.

"I know you love her more than your life and if you reject her then you won't be able to survive the heartbreak" Max muttered. I turned my face towards Alex who had tears in his eyes. He wiped his tears and looked at me with a painful smile.

"I can die for her, Max," he said, peering directly into my eyes. my heart was beating loudly like it would come out any time and I felt an immense pain seeing tears and his intense smile of pain.

"I think I should take a bath. maybe then this hangover will get over" Alex said and stood up from bed. He again stumbled but this time Max helped him. He was about to enter the bathroom but I held his hand.

"There are broken pieces of mirror in the bathroom, you will get hurt" I mumbled. Alex scrunched his eyebrow and looked at me. I didn't say anything and left his hand.

"You just came out of it," He said and looked at me carefully from head to toe and that's when his eyes went on my foot.

"Moon goddess.. you're bleeding" He immediately held my hand and made me sit on the bed. I can see the pain in his eyes looking at me in pain.

"What the hell were you doing? Why didn't you tell me before that you're injured?" he growled. I flinched and a tear rolled from his eyes.

"I'm fine. you don't need to worry about me" I wiped my tears.

"Shut the fuck up... Max immediately told the pack doctor to come into my room." He ordered and carefully held my leg and looked at my injury.

"What should I do with you Sana" He called me by my name and it was enough indication for me that he is pissed at me. He stood up but then again fell on the floor due to a hangover.

"Alex" I hold his hand. I wiped my tears and turned my face towards Max.

"Max took your Alpha to another room and helped him to get over this hangover" I muttered. Alex looked at me and nodded his head negatively.

"No... I'm not going anywhere leaving you in pain"

"But you're giving me more pain by staying here" I screeched. He looked at me dumbstruck.

"Alex, I can't see you in a drunken state nor I can't bear this alcohol smell... Please understand and leave me alone"

"How many times do I have to tell you that I will never gonna leave you?" He yelled... I gawked at him, not knowing how to react when I felt his every word to be true but his action was different.
