"Hatred screws us all over in the long run."

Amelia's POV

Once back at the pack house everything felt off. It was morning. I couldn't stop thinking about the man with the brown eyes. Maybe he was right.

I wasn't surprised to find Kaden waiting on me in our room. What did surprise me though was the amount of anger in his eyes.

His eyes trailed me and he took a deep breath before his eyes darkened.

"Where were you?" he asked and I shrugged.

"Nowhere." I said blatantly.

"Where have you been?" He spat and I frowned.

"Sorry dad I didn't know I had a curfew." I said rolling my eyes and walking towards the bathroom, but Kaden stepped in my way.

"Amelia." Kaden growled obviously agitated and so was I.

"Kaden." I said in the same condescending tone he'd used.

I went to go around him and he blocked my way again.

"I have to piss, move." I spat and he only growled. I didn't really have to pee, but with mentioning it I got a little urge to.

"You can hold it." He said gruffly and I scowled.

"I don't see why you're so mad. You should be happy. Right Kaden? Your mate won't be getting in the way any longer." I growled darkly and my fists clenched.

Suddenly Kaden's eyes darkened before turning to a more animal gold. He growled and gave me an affectionate and slightly angry look. The wolf had taken over.

"This isn't about Kaden. This is about me and Rain and you. Kaden can't keep us apart. I love you, both of you." Knight growled through Kaden and Rain whined in want.

"Now he's probably about to take control again, but I love you; know that." Knight growled softly and I felt my heart ache.

"Where were you?" He asked Kaden taking over.

"At Noah's." I said and shoved passed him before going into the bathroom. I tried to shut the door, but Kaden pushed it open and glared at me with dark eyes.

"What the hell were you doing over there?" He growled and grabbed my arm. I pulled away from him and bared my fangs.

"What's it to you?" I spat and he snarled and pushed me against the counter.

"You were gone all night." My mate snapped and I shrugged.

"I know." He frowned at my response.

"Did he touch you?" Kaden growled and I scoffed. I turned my head away from him.

Kaden gripped my jaw and forced me to look into his eyes, "Did he touch you?" He said in a slow dark voice.

"Yeah and I loved it." I growled and Kaden frowned before shoving me toward the tub and I tripped and fell in the empty bath. I groaned and stood scrambling against the tub before standing and glaring at the man in front of me whom was fuming.

"You're a fucking whore." Kaden snarled his eyes almost fully black.

"I'm no whore and besides why do you care? As far as I'm concerned, us being together means nothing to you, so why should I deprive myself?" I shot back and Kaden took a deep breath before letting out a rumbling sigh.

"You're mine." Kaden growled.

"I'm no one's." I fired back and my mate growled before nodding.

"Okay." He said and I nodded curtly.

"You're no one's huh? That's what you think? Well that's were you're wrong sweetheart, I own you. And we have a reputation to uphold, you are to be by me and no one else." Kaden snapped and I scowled.

"I can't believe you." I breathed and ran a hand roughly through my hair. He looked at me with a clenched jaw.

"I'm not just some thing you can put on display whenever you feel like it." I growled and Kaden frowned.

"So fuck you." I spat and Kaden gave me a look of scorn.

"Stop." Kaden said as I ranted.

"You don't tell me what to do! I don't want to even be here! I'm tired of this! I thought we were getting better!" I yelled and Kaden marched over and covered my mouth.

"Hush, someone's going to hear you. Shut up." He grunted and I pushed him away from me.

"I don't care if someone hears! The whole house can hear for all I care!" I screamed in his face and Kaden frowned and gripped my shoulders before pushing me on the bed.

I snarled as he literally body slammed me against the mattress and held me down. My heart pounded and I struggled against him as he pressed his body over mine.

I gasped as his legs pinned mine down and his hands held mine beside my head. His chest heaved against mine and he gave a deep growl. His hands slipped to my waist and I felt my body respond to his touch as I attempted to press myself against him.

"What are you doing?" I gasped and he scoffed. His hands stopped trailing.

"Don't flatter yourself, I'm not going to fuck you." Kaden growled and I rolled my eyes and tried to wriggle out of his grip.

"I don't want you to fuck me; I want you to get the hell off of me." I spat and pushed against him.

"Besides I don't need you, Noah can take care of that." I hissed and Kaden set a piercing stare on me.

"You gonna fuck him?" He growled and I shrugged but a sneering smile tugged at my lips. He visibly tensed before wrapping his hand around my throat.

"Where is he?" Kaden asked his eyes darkening with rage and I clawed at his hand. He tilted his head and he tightened his grip. I gasped and met his eyes as I tried to breathe and momentarily the frown vanished from his face only to be replaced by turmoil. He released my neck and I took in a much needed gulp of air.

I let out a series of coughs and pushed against Kaden's chest.

"Get-away." I croaked and my mate only growled and pulled me closer.

"If he ever touches you again, I'll kill him... and I'll make you watch." Kaden said in a deep voice and I watched as his eyes traveled to my neck. He suddenly froze and after a moment reached out and tugged at my shirt collar with his pointer finger. His eyes darkened and his jaw set stubbornly.

"Oh hell no." He growled and sat back. His eyes studied me with a deadly look.

"Who's shirt is that?" He asked and I felt my stomach churn.

"Noah's." I said softly and Kaden gave a nod.

"Take off the shirt." He said in a worryingly calm voice.

"Ka-" I tried.

"Now!" He exploded and I flinched before taking it off, exposing my riddled body.

His eyes traced the bite marks and hickeys and immediately he was on his feet at the bedside.

"Where is he?!" Kaden yelled and began pacing back and forth glaring at everything, but me.

"I'm not telling you." I said and he ran a hand through his hair.

"Put the damn shirt back on." He growled softly and I slipped it back over my head. As I fixed it the alpha's eyes flicked back to me.

"Where is he Amelia?" Kaden asked in a strained voice and I looked away from him.

"Kaden stop." I said softly and he growled and scrubbed a hand down his face while muttering inaudible words.

"Amelia either you tell me or I'll find him myself." Kaden spat and clenched his fists as they fell to his sides. His chest rose and fell in anger and I swallowed softly before twiddling with my fingers. I stared at my hands, unable to look at him.

"No Kaden. You won't touch him. He's my friend-" I began.

"Bullshit! Th-" he paused to cough, "That's a damn lie. Friend my ass. You may as well say Amy was a friend of mine then." Kaden growled.

"We don't fuck like animals." I pointed out ignoring the bit of pain in my heart.

"Oh, but you obviously do other things. Wonder what marks you left on him, huh?" Kaden gave a humorless laugh.

"I didn't leave anything on him." I defended myself.

"Yeah, other than spit on his d--" Kaden growled.

"Oh, really? Goddess you're so... ugh! You're such an asshole! I would never-" I yelled but suddenly a wave of nausea crashed over me and I rushed to the bathroom.

I flung the toilet lid up and wretched in the water. I groaned and flushed the toilet.

"What? Are you pregnant with his kid too?" Kaden called from the door and I stood and whirled around before marching out.

"Shut up! Shut up! I'm not! I hate you!" I screamed and pushed Kaden hard in the chest. Catching him off guard, he stumbled back and nearly fell before regaining his balance.

Kaden glared at me.

"Noah was right. This isn't worth it. You're not worth it." I growled and without another word I turned and left the room.
