"Oops."
Amelia's POV
"I've got to go." I told Noah after hanging up the phone. He stretched beside me and gave me a long kiss.
"Where to?" He asked.
"Ryan says the pack needs me for something." I sighed and Noah growled.
The call was strange to say the least.
"I don't want you going over there." He huffed and I sighed.
"Noah I have to." I suddenly thought of something from last night and I looked to Noah with wide eyes.
"Did we use a condom?" I asked. The man's face fell and my heart stopped beating for a moment.
"No." Noah said and I bit my lip.
"Dammit. You don't think...?" I questioned and Noah shook his head.
"I doubt it... if you are though, I won't abandon y'all." Noah said walking over to me and taking my hand in his. He brought it up to his lips and kissed the back of it.
"Noah, I'm scared.... I'm not ready to be a mom! I can't be pregnant!" I started freaking out and Noah pulled me into a hug.
"Baby calm down. I seriously doubt that you're pregnant." Noah said running his hands through my hair. I sighed and laid my head against his chest. I listened to his heartbeat then pulled away with an idea.
"Here listen for a heartbeat." I said laying back against the bed and pulling up my shirt. Noah's eyes darkened with lust as he looked at me and I cried, "Noah."
He blinked and gave me a soft look.
"Babe I think it would be way too early to hear a heartbeat." He said.
"Just please do it." I said and he nodded and climbed in bed next to me before pressing his ear to my stomach. This felt so weird.
"The only heartbeat I hear is yours." Noah said sitting up and I sighed. He was right it was too early.
Was I? The thought made me want to cry.
"What if I am?" I mumbled and Rain whimpered. I felt like I was turning my back on Kaden. Even though he obviously didn't want me, baring Noah's son would be the ultimate betrayal.
"You won't get an abortion... will you?" Noah asked and I looked up to see his concerned frown.
"No." I sighed. It would make no since to end a life because I was being senseless. No matter what this was my child and I'd raise him or her with love and affection. That is if I was pregnant.
River can you sense any change?
No, I don't feel the protectiveness that comes with it. My wolf said and I once again felt relieved.
I don't think we're pregnant. Rain yipped.
"I'm sorry I didn't put one on-" Noah started and I waved him off.
"No its not your fault." I said softly and for a moment we just stood there.
"I'll drive you." Noah said and I nodded and we walked out of his house.
We got into his car in silence and Noah started up the engine.
"Do you need me to pick you up?" Noah asked as we drove along and I shook my head.
"No; I don't know how long I'll be there. If I need you I'll call though." I said and the man gave a nod and watched the road.
I walked through the house with a slight scowl. It was early and I was hungry.
"We're about to eat breakfast." A voice called from behind me and I tensed at Kaden's words.
I turned ready to face him, but only saw his back walking away.
I pushed away the feeling I got at his voice and went towards the dining area.
Well, that could've been more awkward. Rain growled.
Lately the pack had been eating together in the dining room. The large tables were more than enough to accompany the masses.
I walked in with my head held high and Rain strutted as well her tail raised in a challenge.
My skin burned and I knew it was Kaden watching me. I didn't acknowledge him as I made my way to the spot beside Ryan, the spot reserved for me right next to my mate.
I sat down and scooted my chair closer to Ryan's, a move that did not go unnoticed by Kaden whom frowned. He gave me a look then looked at the pack, obviously trying to tell me not to act like this in front of them.
After all, mates were supposed to want to be close. Yeah, I'm sure no one ever encountered this type of situation though.
I acted like I didn't notice him and looked around until I found Nancy. She ate from her plate and talked softly to some girls beside her, a grin on her face. I smiled at this and settled back into my chair before beginning to eat at the food already on my plate.
I let out a soft growl as Kaden's hand brushed mine and I shot him a secret glare as I tucked my hand into my lap. Rain snapped her fangs at him and lifted the fur along her spine. She wasn't in the mood and neither was I.
"Luna Amelia, how are you?" Someone asked and I looked over to see Eligha wearing a friendly smile. I grinned back.
"I'm fine Eligha, and you?" I questioned and the boy dipped his head.
"Great." He answered and I looked away as a boy beside him nudged his shoulder.
"What?" I heard Eligha say.
"Dude how do you know the Luna like that?" The other boy whispered.
"I met her while working out... she's cool." Eligha said softly and I smiled.
"She's not even marked yet, what's up with that?" The boy said softer.
"She's not marked yet because she's not comfortable with it. Anymore questions Gale?" Kaden growled loudly, causing me to nearly jump, and I glanced back to see the boy looking shocked. His green eyes glanced from me to his alpha before he bowed his head.
"No Alpha." The boy Gale said and began eating his food. Eligha chuckled softly and his friend shot him a look.
I ate my fill and pushed away from the table gently. I was met with the eyes of my pack as I stood and I looked back at them and felt a fierce fondness overcome me.
Rain yipped and wagged her tail. This is our pack.
I agreed and felt tears coming to my eyes as I smiled at them.
"Are you okay Luna?" Someone asked and I nodded.
"Yes, I'm alright." I cleared my throat and left the room quickly.
I walked down the hallways and made it to the living room where I sat on the couch with a huff.
"Hey, why'd you run off like that?" I started at a deep voice and looked up at Kaden.
I took a deep breath before shrugging. My eyes went downcast to the floor. My heart began pounding as he stood there.
"I was wondering if you'd be okay with going for a run with me?" He finally asked and Rain huffed and scratched her side growling a simple 'running sounds good.'
I looked back to my mate and nodded, "Sure."
The alpha's eyes brightened and he motioned for me to follow him. I stood and we walked outside...
