"But I'm your mate. Your other half... I-" Kaden began and I pulled away from him.

"Don't tell me you love me." I quipped as I walked to the window again.

"Why can't I?" Kaden countered and I gazed out at the forest.

"I'm not going to be part of some stupid love triangle. You had your chance Kaden. You had so many chances." I said and the Alpha hugged me from behind. My heart picked up as his body pressed against mine and I involuntarily leaned back into him.

"I know I fucked up. I know you're mad, and you have every right to be... but don't leave me for him. Please Amelia. I can't lose you. Not like this." Kaden growled softly and his hands slid against my stomach as he laid his head against my shoulder.

"Kaden stop." I breathed as he kissed my neck and he huffed in reply. My right hand grabbed his wrist as his hand moved intimately against my waist.

"You only want me to stop because you like it." He said and I shivered as he kissed closer to my old mark.

"Kaden." My voice came out in more of a moan and the Alpha growled. My hand squeezed his wrist, but it was more of an uncontrolled spasm.

"See? He can't do this to you. He can't leave you feeling this way. You were made for me; I was made for you." The man said and kissed my mark making a series of shivers run down my spine.

"Stop." I gasped and wiggled out of his grasp.

"Amelia please." Kaden said and I whirled around to face him. Anger flared inside me and I glared at him ignoring the pain in his eyes.

"Do you know what you put me through? I'm not going to put everything behind me just because you suddenly have a change of heart. Leave me alone." I growled and Kaden looked at the ground.

"Amelia just listen-" Kaden said and I scoffed.

"I'm not going through this again Kaden. You're not going to put me through this again! We're over! I'm done with all this unnecessary pain." I yelled and the Alpha frowned.

"I'm hurting too! Do you know how hard this is? Yes, I pushed you away, but it was only because I didn't want to feel this again! I thought if we just stayed apart the love would die and I wouldn't feel anymore! But I do! I just didn't want to feel for anyone again." Kaden snarled and I looked at him in shock.

"So you did all this because you didn't want to be hurt?" I asked and his golden eyes flashed.

"You don't know the pain of losing your mate." He said and I scowled.

"Actually, I think I do." I said plainly and he gazed at me through dark eyes.

"I hadn't been able to shift until you came back. I couldn't. Knight's suicidal, he'll just try to kill us. He already tried before... he wanted you... I'm so sorry Amelia." Kaden said and I looked away.

For a while everything was quiet before Kaden growled.

"Just leave if you want to. Go... I loved Emma and I lost her. It'll be the same thing with you-" Kaden began.

"Stop comparing me to her! I'm not dead or dying! I'm standing right in front of you! I'm not going to die anytime soon! If you lose me it'll be in an entirely different way!" I yelled feeling overwhelmed by everything. My chest rose and fell as I tried to calm down.

"I've already lost you haven't I?" Kaden growled and I sighed.

"Haven't I?!" He bellowed and I looked away from him. Finally I managed a small shrug and silence got a few seconds to reign supreme.

"I don't know." I whispered and turned away before covering my face briefly. I tensed as Kaden strode over to me and hugged me to him.

"Yes or no?" Kaden asked and I lowered my head only for him to hold me tighter.

"I don't know." I said and tried to pull away, but he held me fast.

"I think you do." Kaden said and pressed his body against mine.

"Kaden, let me go." I sighed and the Alpha growled.

"Never." He said into my ear and a chill ran down my spine.

"Stop." I gasped as he moved my hair aside and kissed and sucked on my neck. My body was responding to him and soon I was trembling at his touch and tensing with longing at his every move. He'd managed to turn me on and I dare say I wanted him to.

"Kaden." I moaned and the Alpha paused. He took a deep breath and I felt him tense.

"I can smell your desire." Kaden growled and I gasped as he kissed my neck right beside my mark.

"So what? Leave me alone." I sighed and he hugged me tighter.

"Amelia, you know that's not what you want." Kaden countered and kissed my neck again. My stomach churned as he nipped at my skin.

I could feel the wild beat of his heart and the warmth of his skin soaking into mine, making me feel toasty and alive.

His hands slowly worked their way down my arms, onto my sides, before resting on my hips. His thumbs massaged my skin and I let out a puff of breath. I'm not sure if Kaden turned me about or if I did it myself, but soon I was facing him and staring up into his glorious golden eyes. I couldn't get enough of those rich windows into his soul.

"Just one kiss, then I'm leaving." I said reluctantly and Kaden let out a breath of relief, the pain in his eyes fading some.

Part if me knew that if I kissed him I wouldn't be leaving afterwards. Yet I went along with it.

I laid my hands on his chest as he leaned closer to me and my eyes shut as he closed the gap.

"Wait-" I gasped last minute and Kaden just growled and wrenched me closer.

His lips touched mine and I was instantly thrown into a world of bliss. My legs grew weak and Kaden seemed to sense it as he abruptly grabbed my waist and held me up. My hands ran through his hair and the kiss deepened into a full on make out.

"Don't... stop..." I groaned as he pulled away and his breath billowed out onto my lips. We were both panting and I had no recollection of time and how long we'd been kissing, but it felt like an eternity.

"I'm sorry." Kaden said looking hurt and backed up; for a moment I was confused then realized he'd taken my reaction wrong. I needed more.

I reached out and grabbed his hand. My fingers interlocked with his and I shook my head softly.

"Kiss me again." I said and he looked at me with shocked eyes. As I stared into his gaze it slowly turned into warm affection and tears pooled in his eyes.

"If you make me cry, I swear to Goddess..." I growled and wiped his eyes. He caught my wrists and pulled me closer before smashing his lips against mine.

"I'm sorry baby." Kaden groaned through the kiss and deepened it. Our tongues danced as he lifted me up and my legs automatically wrapped around his waist.

"Can I complete the bond?" He asked and I tilted my head exposing my neck for him. Kaden groaned and sank his fangs in my old mark. Euphoria burst inside of me and I moaned in ecstasy. The pleasure gripped me hard and I threw my head back and called out Kaden's name. I gasped as the bond strengthened and my mate sucked in a growling breath before kissing the mark on me. My toes curled and I whimpered in need.

"Kaden." I purred and my mate sighed as he kissed from my mark to my lips.

"Mine." My Alpha growled lowly as he kissed me relentlessly and spun me around. I was slightly dizzy as he set me back down, but it didn't dampen the hunger of our kiss.

His lips tasted like heaven. I smiled and flung my arms around his neck pulling his body closer against mine.

"I missed you." I sighed and Kaden hugged me tightly.

"I missed you too, I'm so sorry for how I've been acting... I just didn't want to feel the loss again so I pushed you away." He growled and I pulled away slightly from the kiss.

"How much did you miss me?" I asked mischievously and tugged him closer. The mark was filling me up with an intense desire and I wanted my Alpha.

"Amelia..." there was a subtle lust to his voice that instantly made my legs grow weaker. Sparks shot through my body and I smiled softly.

"C'mere." Kaden groaned and gripped my hips in a firm caress. My mouth smirked as I leaned in and placed a sensual kiss to his mark. Kaden grunted in approval and we moved our reunion to the bed.
